Super meal in a place you'd usually expect tourist trap fare. The service was nice, and the starter was probably one of the heartiest concoctions I've ever had. It was cooked to perfection and it was like an orchestra of flavour.

Can't give it five stars because we visited them in the busiest weekend of the year and we were restricted to a set menu. But I'll return to see and try food from their a la carte menu when I go back to Lyon.

Very bad experience. We had reserved a table of three under the glass roof the day before by specifying the schedule but in fact they forgot and so in the end we had two solutions either to take another table or to wait ..... we stayed in spite of everything. eat on another table.
But there again, an additional disappointment: one of the two main dishes (excluding starter) was no longer available !! The fate persists .....
A tip, eat before going or otherwise you will leave the restaurant hungry.
The prices of the dishes are exorbitant in view of the quantity of food on the plate.
And the moment I paid for my dish, I saw a table where one of the people was eating the dish I wanted to order ....
Go on your way urgently !!!!!

Visited during the 2016 Festival of Lights: the menu was unique and the crowd was most likely falsely strong ...

However, the price / quality ratio remained excellent The staff remained very charming despite customers as demanding as unpleasant: bravo!

This small "workshop" also offers books for sale.

To revisit in other circumstances ...

Very light plates supposedly semi gastronomic according to the waitress who afterwards serves us hot chocolate in a cardboard glass. Average enough and at the level of the person who collects very very unpleasant

Read, cook and enjoy, this is the enticing program proposed by the InCuisine space dedicated to the passion of cooking on Place Bellecour in the heart of the Capital of French gastronomy.
English-speaking services are provided for adults and children to discover the world cuisines in a very friendly atmosphere.
Read a cook book while having some cookies with a hot chocolate.
The shop also sells products, utensils and souvenirs that will make you appreciate the cooking world.

Local nice with possibility to drink or eat something. Many cookbooks on sale. A little disappointed by the chocolate, not thick "Italian" but liquid, milk. Our fault obviously, we did not ask before!

If you like cuisine, it is a place I want you to visit once.

From what we have placed anywhere, it is a wide variety of products anyhow as far as the specialty bookstore that is not readily available in ordinary bookstores.
There is also a cafe, and occasionally I also have a cooking class at the back of the shop.
Although appearance may be difficult to enter with in a cafe, it is possible to enter inside as a book store ordinarily.

There are really many books, so it is recommended for those who came for sightseeing.

Not only is In Cuisine an excellent shop for culinary books (in English, French, German and Italian) it's also a coffee shop and an interactive kitchen. You can book cooking lessons too. The staff are very pleasant and can speak very good English.

From locally sourced and responsible ingredients, gluten-free dishes are also available. Formulas at a reasonable price knowing the quality of the products.
Excellent hot chocolates!
All this in the middle of the cookbook shelves. An atypical setting!
The staff is very nice and good advice.
I recommend !

The concept is interesting. A bookstore restaurant. Original. Good, library level, it's light. A few shelves with mostly books on the kitchen. In itself it makes sense considering the concept. By cons, kitchen level, it is very light too. Two-course menu, plates not very extensive, non-existent presentation, and palotte flavors. Another rather light point: your wallet when leaving. 15 euros per dish. Given the amount of food on my plate, I would not have given 10. I had to go get a sandwich on the way out so I could end my day without making a hypo. Result: we mainly pay for the concept and the location. To want to work on several areas, you do not excel in either. Still a positive, the service is very pleasant.

After a day exploring Lyon we needed a peaceful place to prepare our boarding passes for the next day. We discovered this temple in the kitchen full of books for consultation on the spot. The welcoming staff let us rest in their beautiful space sipping tea and coffee. A cooking class was being given next door. Informal and pleasant atmosphere. Good WiFi.

Big miss for my part for registration for a cooking class: no response to the email after a week, then phone and messaging that says "we do not take a message, BIPPPPP". OK, nice. Finally managed to register by calling back the third time. Arrived 10 days later for the course, it was simply canceled and we were not warned. Like the people in front of us! Monitoring and customer service to improve. Otherwise the concept and the place look great, really a shame ....

The chef who served cans has not been in the kitchen for a long time!
The new chef offers healthy market cuisine with a daily menu and a seasonal menu. Everything is homemade and all dishes exist in gluten-free, lactose-free or vegan versions!
It has become my canteen since September and I enjoy myself every day.
To discover absolutely! As well as the afternoon tea room with its homemade sweet treats (cookies, macaroons, cakes ...) and quality hot and cold drinks and in short circuit (organic beers from the Mont d'Or brewery, hot chocolate Valrhona ...), while discovering the latest arrivals of books (culinary library only).
I highly recommend!

A little gem in the city of Lyon. A bookstore for book lovers, a place to eat for lunch or at 4pm and also a great place for a cooking class or a business seminar! The Traboule arranged is incredible and findable anywhere else.

Very disappointed with the midday meal ... Cold and not given for what it was ... Hyper-cooked sweet potato (mash) on a slice of bread ... Mouais ... And then the vegetarian option consisting only in removing the charcuterie without replacing anything, I don't call that an option. (for the same price of course) ... In short to buy a book why not but to eat ... Not top.

With my wife we had two large soups and paid them 10 50 each. Yes, the soup was good. However for four to five ladles in an assies the price of the ladle is exorbitant. I do not recompande all the more as the person who cashed us was unpleasant about the remark on the price
