I will say I enjoy the facility. It is always clean. The food and drinks come out so quick, I wonder if it is premade, but it can't be because it is always fresh. But, to have us standing outside in the Houston heat and in heels for an hour was not cool!

I had a great time at the Improv tonight! The venue is nice, the food is pretty good, my only issue is the two purchase minimum along with an 18% gratuity. I never enjoy being forced to spend additional money so that wasn't great in my opinion.

Came to the 9:30 show and it was a mess!!!! The expected arrival time was 9:00 and we arrived at 8:45. We stood outside waiting on the 1st show to be over til' 9:55.... So everyone that was on time for 9:00 stood outside the door for a hour waiting to be seated. The so~called artist was coming out and allowing their friends in before the doors opened to the paying customers. HOW UNPROFESSIONAL!! We tired of standing and ready to sit down.. But the "friends" pull up and get in the building immediately!!! The seating was too tight and uncomfortable!!! Over Saling Tickets..... TOTALLY RIDICULOUS

Lots of fun here, the headliner was great and the opening acts were good too. Don't get there too early-- we got there at the "recommended" time, but the seats were assigned and we waited at the cramped bar for over an hour to be seated. Once the show got on the road, it was a lot of fun, and really spacious and comfortable. There was a two item minimum, and the drinks (flavored tea especially) were great.

Waitresses were too busy. Saw her at first comic, and not again until last call. 2 drink minimum, was also the max I could order because she was never there. Brought the wrong drink too. But the comics were good and show was well run!

Great location to be able to go out before/after the show. Only complaint is that they sometimes combine tables right before the show starts. Then it didn't matter that you arrived early for a good seat.

Had a blast with friends. They did a great job finding both local talent as well as all stars for the comedy show we attended. Good food and drinks. We usually wait until the first level fills up and sit at the 2nd level because we dont like the floor seating though

If you buy tickets on line, go to the on call booth for your table assignment. Drinks are horrible. The pinot grigio was horrible tasting. The mojito tasted like children medicine. Carlos Mencia was awesome! I laughed so much that my throat was hurting and had to drink the awful drinks. Lol.

The seating was very cramped and over crowded. I could still see the stage without obstruction of view for the most part. There was a 2 drink minimum or you would pay a fee of 8 each guest. It may have been cheaper that way honestly. Food was decent. 18% Gratuity already added. They tip themselves. Great show just don't like their eating arrangements/tactics.

I have to say just how impressed I am with management and staff at Improv Houston. Myself and and friends showed up right in time for 7 o clock show however there was a line inside waiting for people to sort out seating because of course people did not want to share tables. We had a drink in the bar, which were excellent drinks but when we were informed by Katherine at the door that there was no longer a line we entered to find out that there were not any seats together available. So we decided not to stay with hopes that we could just get our money back. Instead of trying to defend the situation Katherine was quick to contact management of the situation. Jennifer JK right away gave us corporate number but explained that she would be more than happy to reserve a table for us at the following showing. We were very surprised and grateful for staff that that instead of being defensive were very kind and accommodating. I would highly recommend Improv Houston!

I've been to this location too many times to count. I always enjoy myself however, I feel additional major changes couldn't hurt. The table space could be better. It's equivalent to being on a airplane. You can endure it, but you still feel like you are packed in a small space. We also need to do better keeping our time slots. Do better please..

Their seating policy sucks. If you want to sit with your friends, you best buy all your tickets with the same credit card or else you'll be scattered everywhere sharing tables with complete strangers. In addition, the shows run late but you should get there early like an hour before your show if you dont want to be trapped outside while others are inside having drinks and snacks before the show. There is a limited capacity in the lobby area.

The club is small but you have to wear your mask. They are practicing social distancing with seating people at every other table. Food and drinks are great. Excellent customer service! I have really enjoyed myself here at the Improv!

Great comedy show served in a safe Covid atmosphere. Food menu is limited to fried items, but good beer selection. They charge an automatic 18% that is pretty standard for this kind of venue, but highlight server tip and expectations are very high to add additional tip. Service is not that great!

Saw Rob Schnieder and honestly the guy who opened for him was much funnier and a Houston local! We had excellent seats as you can see from the picture I was in VIP and literally right in front of the stage in the perfect line of sight without any type of strain. Only complaint was how tight the seating was. There was no elbow room and 4 people were sat at every two top table and so forth so if food and drinks were a plan it might be really cramped. I went back for TJ MILLER and got to meet him!! It was awesome!

Been to a few shows there and it's a great place. Have a few drinks and some good food cracking a rib and crying from laughter. Comedians ranging from you up and coming comics to your seasoned veterans you see on TV, movies and their own comedy specials. The Houston improv is legit.

Currently here at the improv came extra early (45mins early) to get good seats, ate drank and then 1 min before the show got kicked out of our table by there staff (Josh) that they changed our table to reserved so by then there were no available tables so it s useless to arrive early u could end up like me not happy and not wanting to return (worst customer skills)

I normally do not leave reviews but I felt it was necessary. I did not have a good experience. I went to a show on Friday with my mom to see Anjelah Johnson (she was AMAZING), the IMPROV was under staffed and it took about 30 minutes for us to get a waiter because each wait staff kept saying they were not zoned to us. Finally a great waiter said he would take care of us, even though he was also not zoned to us. Everyone was rushing and it was just a bit hectic.

Fast forward to the middle of the show, I really had to go to the restroom so I get up and head to the lobby. As I was reaching for the door, one of their wait staff pushes open the door so fast it hit the side of my arm. It was not just a boop on the arm, he flung that door open so fast my arm was swollen and the next morning I was bruised up and still swollen.

I called them the next day to let them know. I was nice and told them that he was in such a rush but you should never open a door that aggressive. He only quickly said sorry so he can return to his job. The execution of customer service and empathy was lacking. Accidents happen, and my arm just happen to be sticking out just a bit but if I were to hurt someone my actions would be completely different. I expect my staff at my job and my non-profit staff to always be kind, make sure we go above and beyond to make sure our patrons or customers do not have a bad experience.

The man I told did not even ask my name. He was kind and said they were under new management and would let the team know that was unacceptable. He did not seem very interested in really doing anything, but just getting me off the phone.

I am just sad about such a bad experience and will probably not return. I hope no one else has an experience like mine. Be careful at the doors near the lobby.

***NEED TABLE TOP COMPUTER SCREENS***

***NEED TABLE TOP COMPUTER SCREENS***
My wife and I recently visited the Houston Improv for our first show. The show was amazing but the Houston Improv itself could use some improving. Our tickets said doors open at 9 and show starts at 9:45. We didn't even get let in the building until 10:15 and then felt super rushed to use the restroom, get seated, and order immediately. Then the server was horrible and loud. When you're trying to enjoy a live comedy show, the last thing you need is to stop and be distracted. You miss parts of the show and this could ALL be avoided by cutting out the server all together. All you need is food and drink runners. You have silent ordering with a little computer on each table. Kind of like Chili's has where you order yourself and pay whenever you're ready. Makes more sense at a live show to try to cut out as much unneeded talking as possible.

It was a nice venue, but during Covid, I would have preferred the seating being a little more spaced out. We purchased the 6 top preferred seating and were were one foot away from the other 6 top. The drinks are strong, I couldn't taste anything but the vodka. But we enjoyed ourselves.
