An Italian restaurant that doubles as a pub/bar with an entertainment venue added on. We had lunch here twice in a week and both times the staff were friendly and attentive without being annoying. The food was excellent, the menu is diverse enough to suit all but the most fussy eater. Gin cocktails seem to be something of a speciality. Would happily eat here every week were it not for the fact that it is over 100 miles from home.

Food and service was excellent. Pity I don't live nearer.

Tasty food, good service, could do without the service charge as prefer to tip the person who waited on us.

Had a staff Xmas 'do' there. As a vegetarian my meal did not represent any kind of value, compared to the meat-eaters' meals. I paid the same set price as them, as was served a small portion of veg lasagne, while the non-veg options were a substantial meal. I'm not on a diet- just vegetarian.

Service...regulars think they own the place.
Had a meal in the bar, was not asked if we needed anything else when they dumped our food. Had to ask for everything !!!
Went to order drinks..the girl said " lll bring them over " which roughly translates to ..
Go and sit down and wait, whilst I serve these people I know first !
Had my meal minus the sauces I would have liked, as got fed up with asking for things , and prob would have finished by the time I got it anyway.
Chips ..awful !
Salad was a poor excuse.

During the festive period my family, friends and I have spent many a happy hour in the pub and restaurant...The moment you walk in you realise you have chosen the perfect venue for your Christmas celebration. The warm and friendly atmosphere complements the extensive quality festive decorations that I have rarely experienced anywhere else at this time of year...the numerous welcoming staff members looked as pleased to see us as we were to be there. The menu is surprisingly extensive considering Christmas does tend to restrict the A La Carte choices, but not in this restaurant. Our veggie friends were particularly pleased with their choices and made a point of re booking a table for their forthcoming birthday celebration. This place oozes quality but also caters for most tastes whether Italian,festive,pizza or veggie cuisine, complemented by a superb range of Italian premium lagers, traditional ales and a comprehensive wine list... Finally, I love the basket of umberellas near the front door for rainy days,nice touch.! Well done Il Rosso, you've made our Christmas start a treat.

Staff great. Really a good time out.

Did not enjoy the meal to long waiting. Seating in out side area with a roof very cold, never got the menu for dessert waitress never came back.. This was a birthday celebration what a disappointment.

We were rushed with our food and I felt as if they were more interested in getting us all fed and out again. The place was really crowded and very noisy. We were a party of 8 and had pre ordered our meals but several items were changed so the ore ordering was a bit pointless. I would not recommend this place.

This is a beautiful restaurant with with very friendly staff. Came here for birthday. Never been before but will certainly go back. Everything was great all helped by the food. Especially the deserts. Better than most restaurants. I do think it was value for money. maybe it was slightly over priced but with how nice everything else was including the atmosphere then i would pay it again.

My wife and I are no longer "night owls", we are too old. So we may visit Rosso during the day for breakfast, morning coffee, lunch or a tea-time snack. At all times the staff make us welcome and remain attentive and obliging during our stay. The fayre is good and tastey and there is a pleasant ambience. I've been told that it's really good fun in the evenings, good place for a party but maybe we're that bit too old.
We really like Il Rosso for the times we use it.

Really nice Sunday lunch but incredibly busy. When it rains in the conservatory is really noisy but the atmosphere in there is good.

Beautifully decorated for Christmas. Visited for large group (80+) meal in the restaurant at the back. Food was lovely. It was hot and they served a whole table at once. We had pre-ordered our food, so when it was brought out, they called out the name who it was for. Was very impressed how smoothly it went.
Would recommend for functions.

Decent place for a nice bite to eat and a drink. Nicely looked after inside and out and has that little something special about it. Don't get me wrong it is pricy, but for a treat its worth it. Would defo return again for whatever reason.

Went for Anniversary dinner with some friends and it was all really good food and great friendly service. The only tiny negative was that it was a very busy pub/restaurant and was quite noisy, but the whole night was very enjoyable.

On Saturday nights very very loud.. Had to leave early and never enjoyed meal due to this..

Sat next to a local drunk, but the place, staff and food was nice.

Lovely staff... well set out and clean... food was gorgeous... excellent terrace area... I have no doubt we will be visiting again !!!

We have been here many times for Sunday breakfast, and I have never been disappointed. Their mocha coffee is the best I have ever had. Prices are a little more than average, but worth it.
Never been for an evening meal yet. However, a group of us went for Christmas dinner....... the menu was different to the usual run of the mill, and very enjoyable, the atmosphere was warm and merry. The service, considering how busy they were, was good.

One of the best bars/ restaurants in Mansfield.

Il Rosso has been a Favorite place of ours for years.Unfortunately recently the Quality of the food and the service has dropped considerably. We visited there yesterday ( 18th March ) for my Birthday , Very disappointed! !!!

Very pleasant, food very good lots of it, staff friendly and don't trouble you, had meals many times, not sure about the rice pudding, would like treacle sponge and custord but not for main course, makes a pleasant change, you wouldn't appreciate it so much going each week I think,

Really nice venue, terrace area and atmosphere and attentive waiting staff.
However, the non tapas menu (pasta in this instance) was extremely average and they have stopped doing tapas presently due to the COVID situation :(. I look forward to coming back when the tapas menu returns though :)

Basic Italian food but overpriced but otherwise no complaints. Very enjoyable evening

Called in for coffee and a pizza at 1pm, not that busy in the bar or restaurant but were too busy to do bar snacks that they advertise. Pizza, tapas, etc.

Absolutely delicious sunday roast would highly recommend
