This is my favourite hobby after work, I love axe throwing, but BATL is the safest place to do it. They have the most experienced coaches and almost every one of my birthday or staff parties are held at one of their venues, it's a great idea for a night out with just about any of your friend groups!

Toronto Fun League
Such a fun place to go with friends on their open nights. Staff are very helpful, they also have leagues you can join, and are adding a bar as well
Great experience, Scott was super helpful! You get a lot of rounds for the $ so would definitely recommend.
Had my bachelor party here, Nathan and Michelle were very helpful and fun! Would recommend this location!
I took my team out for a night of axe throwing and we had a blast. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable the competition makes it exciting and definitely makes you want to come back again.
We had the pleasure of meeting Wes at BATL tonight. What an incredible experience, he was extremely knowledgeable, patient and a great teacher. We will definitely be revisiting BATL again.
It's awesome! Definitely a good time to come here. They've got beer and they even let us order a pizza in!
I went as part of a bachelor party and had a great experience, I reccomend this place to anyone who wants to try axe throwing, our instructor was excellent and they have a bar with a good selection of beers.
I visited BATL Axe two weeks ago with a large group for a friend's birthday party. One of our instructors Frank was very unprofessional and unpleasant to have around which ruined the experience for many people in our group. I also didn't appreciate the unnecessary swearing throughout the evening by various staff members. I didn't think it was possible to make axe throwing a terrible time but BATL certainly achieved that.
I can't say that I've taken part in the activities there but it does look fun.
Nice place, very friendly staff, memorable experience!
Great space! This is a great place to go with a group for a party, or special occassion, or just a fun outing- the BATL staff are friendly and inclusive of everyone, excited about their sport, and incredibly helpful. Since moving from their old location in the Stirling lofts, BATL took the WALL to keep an heirloom record of all past champions. Tonnes and tonnes of parking, wheelchair accessible, gender neutral washrooms, reasonable beer and soda prices, VERY reasonable axe-throwing prices.
The coach we had was excellent! He was super fun and encouraging. Would definitely recommend this activity to anyone!
Fun, though pricey. Axe throwing, drinks, even the unexpected "tournament" was fun!
Good fun with friendly staff! They start with a brief lesson and then a round-robin tournament. We went for a bday party and everyone had an awesome time.
Probably the best axe throwing place I have been too. I liked the digital screens so you could see everyone's scores - the other 2 axe throwing places I have been to did not have that. Very open and great for parties.
Super fun and great social distancing protocols in place. The staff were helpful teaching us how to throw properly
This batl location is really nice. Throwing in ac is one of the blessings this location has.. But a few other pros are, the staff are friendly as hell, it's accessable for limited mobility, it also has other games like foozeball and arcade style games. It's close to McDonalds(which also sometimes a con? Lmao) AND there is no shortage in PARKING.
Great beer, try the sour beer mmmmmmmmmmmmm! Instructors were awesome, definitely would like to go again!
The axe throwing itself is a lot of fun. However, the staff that they have supervising each lane are intrusive if not outright rude. It reminded me of being in a classroom, having interactions with my friends modulated by a teacher's presence. All of the staff also swore a lot, which came across as very unprofessional. I would not go back. Overpriced with average to poor service. Better off throwing axes in your backyard.
Just a small group but Flynn and the servers were exceptional. Had a great time and can't wait to go again!
Was a lot of fun for a birthday party and can honestly recommend it for any age group (maybe not super young kids). Quite pricey however - seemed odd that the pricing was per person per hour as opposed to a price to rent out the lane.
The staff here are amazing. Knowledgeable and always willing to help. They make your experience assuming throwing axes wasn't enough.
Good experience. They have a pool table and deer hunter. Mist importantly they have food and beer
Super fun group activity. They were very helpful showing us tips and technique
Fabulous fun time for families teens and up, great coach/ hosts that make it fun! Great time socializing and great place to break the ice while enjoying the bar and the competition.
The location was amazing (clean, organized, fun). It was my first time. I went with a group from work. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. They kept giving me tips and correcting me along the way. I recommend for anyone who wants to try. See photo s attached.
Love It! I had a friend talk me into going once for a few hours of throwing and I joined the league that night. I highly recommend it!!!!
Paid around $50 to throw 2 times. Better value elsewhere
Elliot was really fun and a great instructor! We had a great time!
Clinton and the crew from Saturday Aug 24th night were amazing.
A great social activity for small or large groups. The staff were attentive and friendly.
Excellent environment and people couldn't be nicer . Great Spot AWESOME
The best possible time you can have. Extraordinarily professional managers make this more enjoyable than you can imagine. I hope you get to throw the big axe. Come here for a good time; you will not be disappointed. CLUTCH
Awesome time. Went for my stag and everyone had a blast!! Definitely going back.
We had a pre-wedding event there last Wednesday with 25 people. We had 4 amazing (and patient) coaches with us the entire time. Thank you Clinton, Ashley, Regan and Jade. Everything was so smooth and organized. I will definitely do that again.
Took my staff party here and had a blast. Friendly staff, good beer selection, tons of fun.
Went for the first time with a group of friends. It was amazing! First time throwing and our instructor Ashely had us all sticking the axes in no time! I m definitely going to go back.
While the place and the concept is awesome, the people working at the venue are very dry. There was a small issue with our group and the person in charge flared up for no reason. It was super disappointing to see such poor level of service. I'd definitely recommend this place, but if the management is reading this review, I'd strongly suggest you speak to your staff and give them a few lessons in customer service and how to resolve conflicts.
Super fun. Cookie and the rest of the staff will make sure you stay safe and that you have a blast.
Fantastic times there, Dan s coaching really made our experience memorable and unique! Can t wait to go back, Cheers, Phil.
Huge space. Great staff and drinks. Love the tournament style of play. Ended up not even making the playoffs mostly because i suck lol.
Lots of fun and a great space, staff is awesome as well.
I celebrated my birthday here and it was great! The staff were awesome - kind, funny and made it seem like we were hanging with friends. You can tell they love their jobs! This location in particular is fantastic with a fully licensed bar, arcade games, pool tables, etc.
Really cool place, looks like brand new. They have a good selection of beer and they allow you to order food from outside. Loved it.
I love this place ! Took my crew to the Ottawa local for their open house Fun Fun Fun! Would go again!
Great activity to do with friends or colleagues. The team here are fantastic, very friendly.
I went on a saturday evening never having thrown an axe before. All the staff were great especially Ashley. She was an amazing teacher and very hilarious. By the end of the session I was actually throwing pretty well. The time flew by very fast and I can't wait to go back again!
This was a great experience. Did it for a date night. We walked in, and we're a little worried. We signed in at the bar, got a drink, and then went to meet our instructor Dan. Dan was very patient and helpful in teaching us what to do. After several warm up throws, we had a round-robin. Then an elimination tournament. We walked in, unsure and left wanting more. We will be back in the future.
The leagues are super fun; warm, welcoming and inclusive gang, and you get to throw axes every week.
Had so much fun at Batl! Their staff are amazing and super helpful. I'd go all the way there to play again even tho it's a bit far from me. Thanks for a great day and your support for TRCC!
Came in during the walk-in times on Friday. Wasn't busy at all! The instructor, Nathan (?), was very patient and kind! Explained things very well and how we could go about in improving our aim! The area is spacious, staff were nice, and music was great!
I planned a customer event here last week. The staff here were on POINT! My customers loved it, our vendor partners loved it, I loved it.
As far as I'm concerned this is the ONLY place to throw. My husband and I threw once for an event and we instantly signed up for the league. That was a year ago and now I can't imagine life without it. The staff are amazing and the crowd they bring are equally phenomenal. Playing here is the highlight of my week.
To many rule! Just let me have fun. They should give you the option to compete in ther tournament style experience or just throw an axe with your pals. Just okay for the price.
Overall a fun time, but with a group extremely expensive ($55/person). They do a round robin and playoffs. With a 40 person group and four lanes rented, only 8 people went to playoffs which seemed low. Works out to about $1 per axe throw, which is pretty steep. Drop in rates may be different.
It's the best axe throwing place I ever walked by !
I was part of a group that walked in. There weren't many patrons so we got 2 lanes. The staff provided instruction/guide for most of the hour. We didn't do a competition among us. We just took turns practising for hour so it was only slightly fun, not exciting. I wasn't a skilled participant. Axe throwing is not easy but it was nice to try. There's a bar, foosball table, pool table, a stage and a basketball arcade game here. The facility is spacious but it was a bit difficult to locate.
Great time! Safety first! Great instruction and host staff make it a blast!
Fantastic experience. Father and I went for an hour to see what it was all about and the staff was friendly, professional, and incredibly helpful. Special shoutout to our coach who guided us and had us landing throws in no time. Easiest recommendation I've had in all of 2019.
Great time, Michelle was a great instructor, will definitely be back!
Great for groups. Lots of axe throwing stations, and a bar to have drinks in between throws. Staff were all very friendly.
Overpriced for what we got. We were rushed out. The coaches were swearing, rude, asked us to do dumb stuff like throwing up middle fingers in pics. It was childish. I'd prefer to go elsewhere. Very weird, grungy environment.
Fun, great instruction, only jerky & chips for snacks though
Came in for a Birthday Party with some coworkers. It was a tonne of fun and everyone was very friendly. Our Coaches Andreas and Shel were very patient with us and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend visiting. It was a blast.
Had an amazing time! The guy who ran our session was great. Decent drink selection if you dont need anything fancy. A little awkward to get to.
Went for a company fun night out. There was 15 of us and I thoughted we would be cramped but there was enough space for everyone around the targets. Coaches were great, we had plenty of time to practice. Everyone enjoyed the tournament. Overall would highly recommend for a group event.
Was one of the events at a pretty badass bachelorette party. We got to bring our own beer and had our own area in which to throw. The instructor was fantastic and came up with all sorts of games for us to play that made it more than just throwing axes. There was free street parking near the facility and overall it was clean and well maintained. Highly recommend for a fun group event.
A great place to hang out with friends - and you can bring your own food and booze! The instructors were friendly and gave great tips on how to get the ax to stick. I envisioned a dark dreary place but it turned out to be quite spacious and bright with high ceilings and lots of room to throw and practice.
Such a good place, went there to celebrate a birthday. People in charge were alone with us in the evening during the week, so they organised a tournament. So funny
Always a good time and great team destroying. I got fired for beating the boss lol
Jacob Gordon-Silvia is my real name for checking purpose. I had an awesome time. Really enjoyed it. Brandon helped a lot, and I would 100% recommend it. A few "adult" words were said (as other reviews mention), but all is in good spirits. Very friendly and helpful staff.
I took my wife here for her birthday. It was an absolute blast. Everyone had a great time. The staff was fun and engaging, the drinks were good, and they let us bring snacks from outside. Highly recommended for anyone looking for something fun and exciting.
Lots of fun! Went with a famly group of 15. The staff, Scott and Christina, were super helpful, they got everyone good at axe throwing, they then organized a fun tournament for us! Would recomend for a fun outing
The trainers were rude and took away from the fun instead of adding to it.
BATL is a great venue! A very fun sport, friendly staff and good beer. Book an event with friends or with coworkers for a fun team building event. Or join a league and compete with new friends!
My laboratory booked an evening here, and we weren't sure what it'd be like before we came. Needless to say, everyone had a lovely time absolutely slaughtering our wooden targets. The staff were professional and friendly, and our coach Clinton was so enthusiastic and helpful -- please give him a free beer! Also, whoever controls the music at this location has impeccable taste.
Went here for a party with some friends. The staff were helpful in teaching us how to throw properly, and after a few practice rounds they put on a small tournament. Overall a casual, fun, and interesting experience.
