This is the kind of place that reminds many people of that love-hate relationship many of us have had before where the person is quite good looking, kind hearted and fun to be around at first, then something happens and it all starts to change. for me in regards to Ikea it may just be the sheer size or perhaps it's the overwhelming amount of items , or just the crowds you cannot get away from at anytime of the day. Just when you think you have escape the masses you get to the parking lot. That being said this Ikea is usually clean when I go in and the employees for the most part are pretty friendly and helpful so if you don't really mind the crowds and you want to save some money and get some quality furniture then this Ikea is your place.

I like all the IKEA's but this one specifically has most employees that are not always in a good mood and very rude to customers. There is no way that you can ask for help and they would not frown.

Who doesn't love IKEA? Well who doesn't love IKEA furniture? Everybody hates building IKEA furniture. This IKEA is a really big building with plenty to see and plenty to do. In the middle of this IKEA is a family first friendly restaurant/buffet. Sometimes if you're in IKEA member you eat for free if you buy a piece of IKEA merchandise. Got a love the freebies

Much better than the one in Carson. Larger, more beautifully decorated and quick and helpful staff. More selections and constantly renovate to give shoppers new experience in the store. Only drawback is because this store is better in every way, you may find your item out of stock pretty quickly after they get on the shelf. So check online for availability first and if they are out of stock, go to the one in Carson instead. They usually have some thing left there.

Regarding the Click & Collect, the feature was activated a few days ago, therefore they're probably still in the process of improving. Costa Mesa is the only location that began to offer this service, even though West Covina is also on the C&C list. Also, we may have to try when the weekend is over, since Saturday and Sunday may have already been filled to the capacity for picking up. It's probably due to the fact that they don't have as many employees back to work to the full capacity to fill current demand. I guess we just have to be very patient and keep on trying.
UPDATE: After trying dozen of times back and forth (I wasn't rushing in anyway), I got in about 3-4 hours later (like I had anything else better to do LOL). About an hour after the order confirmation, they sent an email that my order was picked and ready to be picked up the next day. I'm a very happy man. Keep on trying, folks.

This is the worst IKEA location ever. Terrible attitude and manner. They made mistakes and bother customer to come multiple times for returning and switching but there is not even an apology, full of indifference and ignorance instead. Not only one staffs giving faces to customers.

I love IKEA, & today I used a coupon for a free meal & $15 off my purchase. Can't get much better, & I have purchased everything from furniture to picture frames. Keep up the good work IKEA!!

I generally had a good experience with Ikea when I don t have to deal with customer service, but they are terrible when it involves them. And this particular store in Costa Mesa.

We ordered a few items for the house because it s in stock. We wait for the email to come through to tell us that our order should be ready from 10:00 AM - noon, but no email comes. We call, no pick up. So we drive there only to find out that they don t have any in stock. So we ask to cancel.

We are told okay it s cancelled.

Unfortunately we get an email at 1AM saying our order is ready for pick up. So this means we are going to be charged money for not picking it up. Mind you, we already went and cancelled.

So we go in again and explain what happened to cancel a second time. We are told okay, it s cancelled again.

Now we get an email with a receipt. They charged us for picking up orders that they don t have any stock in.

This isn t an isolated incident. This is the fifth time this has happened in the last few months.

I ve been told Ikea has excellent supply chain and great customer service, but I do not believe it because our experience here has been filled with incompetence.

Frequently out of stock. Half the time I've been here they were out of items I came for. Today they literally REFUSED to sell me items I had in my cart because they were "low inventory" - SERIOUSLY, I had items in my car that I got from their self-service shelves and they WOULD NOT LET ME BUY THEM!! Of course that was after waiting in line for 20 minutes.
I was so frustrated I just abandoned my entire cart of items and walked out. I will NEVER return to this store.

As Ikeas go, this store has it all. The biggest area for improvement however is the checkout lines. They need more people and faster checkout. After spending an hour navigating through the store, we don t want another 45 min in the checkout line.

It's Ikea... Employees are friendly and helpful and the store is always neat despite everyone touching everything! While I'm not the biggest fan of their quality, it works for many things and great for people looking for a cheap way to furnish a house/room.

Although they were able to help me, there was an associate that could have kept her attitude professional instead of huffing and puffing and saying What is she going to do today. We did not appreciate this and I wish I could of gotten her name but I did not want to escalate the minor situation.

I have a love hate relationship with IKEA. My family has several things from IKEA and in general they have superior inexpensive items that are well engineered. What I absolutely Hate about IKEA stores is the path through them. You never know where you are or how to get where you want to go. Simply infuriating. After 20 or so trips I have gotten better at getting through the store quicker but I still hate the experience They get 5 stars for the products but a zero star for convenience.

Ikea is amazing company is so many ways. For the critics, take care of your furniture and Ikea will take care of you! Particularly if you decide to work at Ikea. They are known to treat the employees excellently and their culture working in an Ikea store is all inclusive and aimed at making you actually excited to come into work. From healthcare benefits and descent wages Ikea has done things for my wife like throwing holiday parties, being fed meals during the pandemic including breakfast and lunch, randomly boxes of vegetables from a local farm (free for employees). Stuff like that and being happy while in your work environment and very key things. One of many reasons I like Ikea. The furniture may be cheaply built but if it is cared for and used only as designed then it will last a lifetime.

We came here for an $15 beach umbrella, but when we got here they only had one left and it was missing a piece. They let us buy a better, more expensive one at the price of the other item, that's customer service.

IKEA has it together and has it right. This IKEA is clean and neat. The staff is extremely nice and very helpful. IKEA always has a range of items to select from for whichever your item may be, and they have a range of prices as well which I love. Sometimes, I just want to go really cheap and would like to have something with a nicer aesthetic than I would find at Wal-Mart or Target. I bought the Malm Desk with Pull Out Panel in white, and a Fillsta Table Lamp. I love them both. The desk has all of the room that I need to fit my 27" Monitor, printer, keyboard, some books, and office supplies. With that on my desk, I still have room to work on that part of the desk as well as the side panel that pulls out. I have a new job that I started, so I always have a lot of work to do and this suites me perfect. The desk was very easy to put together, and I did it myself. The lamp is very cute and unique. It glows beautifully, but it was a bit of a hassle to put together. It was almost like piecing together a jigsaw puzzle. Needless to say, I do want a second one. Wrapping it up, check out was quick and easy, and they had helpers on hand to help load my desk in to my car. Very happy and nice experience.
