Walking into IKEA is like walking into a finely oiled machine. You'll be greeted by a maze of products, displays, and a crazy amount of people. The layout of the store is somewhat complicated but well labeled. Thanks to the labeled shortcuts, it is possible to get in and out if needed. For inspiration, check out the entire floor of displays. If your blood sugar gets low from all the shopping, grab a cheap ice cream cone, cinnamon roll, or hot dog. Employees are always willing to lend a hand, but sometimes can be difficult to track down. Once you have everything you need, they'll help you load up in the designated loading area. Over all, it's definitely a must at least once in your life. It's a great way to get decent quality furniture for a great price.

I remember the horrible cheap items they used to sell back when they first got started. I can honestly say that they now have high quality furniture for fabulous prices. My only complaint was the tiny parking lot. It took almost 20 mins to get a parking spot. Almost all spaces are for compact cars and very few places for pick ups to park in.

After spending hours assembling my bed frame through vague instructions, I found the final two peices did not fit, rendering it unusable. When I called for assistance the recorded message said they had so many complaints they we're not accepting calls. They didn't even give me an option to hold.
Also their meatballs are disgusting and an offence to Sweden.

I have a love /hate relationship with ikea. I like the design aesthetic and there's a decent price to quality ratio. But that store is a nightmare. Too many people, too hard to navigate... Prepare to spend at least 4 hours. Oh, and the quality of the food has dropped significantly since they opened. Still, it's the only place I can find lingonberry jam.

We have gotton some really solid furniture here. They are known for their cheap particle board furniture but if you shop around in their store a bit you can find solid real wood pieces of furniture instead. Perfect place for us to furnish a home.

They have a lot of stuff (assumed) and if you need something, theres like a 90% chance that its there. If you wanna skip a few sections, theres shortcuts skipping sections. Its a bit to big for my standards but I understand. 4/5 stars

All of the most affordable houseware your money can buy. IKEA is synonymous with college dorm living. The IKEA engineers have mastered living in close quarters. You got a 280 SQ foot apt? IKEA has solutions. Plastic and particleboard are the two main ingredients when it comes to IKEA ingenuity. They have all your sleeping, lighting, cooking and wall covering needs met. Granted nothing you get here lasts a lifetime, you will be able to live in the lap of mediocre luxury for a few years.

Awful customer service. Can't get ahold of anyone on the phone. Been on wait over 30min. Tried calling all departments to find someone, anyone to talk to but the awful elevator music and sleezy "we appreciate our customers" voice plays on and on and on and on. I need to ask a question to a thinking human not a robot. Please please fix this!

You get what you pay for! I love that you can buy a somewhat nicer piece, or you can buy something inexpensive that you will only use for a few years. It's a great place to get ideas, and the employees there tend to be quite helpful.

This place is huge. A great place to shop for inexpensive furniture and decor. Large selection and plenty of inventory. Everything you might need for the kitchen, bathroom, living room, or bedroom. While you are shopping, they have a nice inexpensive restaurant. They offer a selection of food items, specializing in meat ball meals.

Tons of great furnishing ideas and displays, it is easy to lose hours looking at everything, which is fine because there is a cafeteria style dining area where you can eat low priced menu items including Swedish meatballs, and salmon. There is also a kid drop off point called smaland that has a good security set up where you can sign in your child and pick them up in an hour.

Love visiting the show rooms and I always find new and creative ways to decorate....I stop by the restaurant and find yummy things to eat before shopping. My grand kids love shopping here, as well. We always find fun things to add to my toy box. The Portland, Oregon store has great customer service; I've never been disappointed. Love this place!

Go early to get there at open! It's way less crowded. But usually even a crowded store is easy to shop. It's super open and easy to find things. I had a great customer service experience when I went for some stuff for my house! One sad thing is, they have products that come in a pair.. and you can't buy one item separate...and that sucks.

The best place to visit with family for household things - furniture, beds, mattress. It has in house cafteria where the food is relatively cheap. The quality of furniture and items are far better than any other retail store. It is truly world class.

Ok... do we really need to review Ikea?

Ok... do we really need to review Ikea?

Carefully purchased pieces can make a home but if you outfit your entire place with the sleek sexy Scandinavian budget style folks gonna know!

Go on a weekday in the a.m., around opening. You will enjoy your experience as opposed to wanting to claw your eyes out ;)

Hate having to walk through the store, but I also hate shopping. But I also love my wife and she absolutely loves this place, so it's a wash. Great place to make a shopper happy for at least an hour. BTW, if you can get through this place including purchases in under or around the hour mark, you are either not with your significant other or need to share the secret.

It's Ikea. Save some sanity and go on a weekday if possible. Weekends and Thursday, Friday and Saturday during the day and evenings are hell on earth. Sunday all day and evening....just avoid it. Ikea is great if you're a young 30-ish with a new family, or a 20-something with your first place. You can outfit your whole house. But beware of the cheap furniture. It's just that. They have a better Stockholm line, but it's not cheap. Just be aware that you're not buy heirlooms here.

Order went through but is a month late. When we call, they just say they can't take our call and hang up. I'd rather be on hold and wait to talk to someone than be hung up on. Terrible customer service and communication on shipping.

This is a nice place to get some ideas on home design or furnishing. I like to come here one-two hours prior closing and walk around to see what's new, to sit in a "kitchen" or in a chair of a "living room" and think and plan the design of the wall decoration, kitchen organizing...
I personally don't buy from IKEA a lot (at least nothing major, like furniture, cabinets, appliances), but their small things are great for making home look nice and clean.

IKEA is great if you want to grab lunch and shop. There is no other furniture store with an experience like IKEA. If you are wondering around for ideas, this place will give you a plethora of ideas for home. If you know what you want be sure to look up if the item is in stock before getting there.

If you are in a hurry and not sure what you are looking for, it'll take you awhile to wander through the store. Plan in advance, or take your time.

Cafe is good, the Salmon Balls were not the greatest, but really the meatballs and the veggie balls are good.

Came from South Carolina and was trying to buy things find things for my little sister who had just moved. NO joke had multiple people offer to help and a particular group of three folks, who heard about my plight and make it their mission to get my sister settled comfortably (needs- chairs/ utensils) and make it feel homey (wants- pictures/ rugs ect). They checked on me through out my time there with new ideas. I wish they were at my store in Charlotte
