IKEA Amsterdam Review

Very nice shop for shopping plus a tasty snack for affordable prices.

Can go in with my partner but without a child, ridiculous!

Closing all self-scan checkouts at once is really worthless!
normally a nice shop but not as a 5th waiting at the checkout!

Too busy and too many people coughing. Stay at home if you have complaints

Employees had either not worked enough to answer simple questions or were too busy to help. At 10 am (opening time) no employee to be found until 10:10. I'm not going to say that those ten minutes make a world of difference, but it was a serious hindrance.

We are used to Ikea Delft and in comparison Ikea Amsterdam Southeast is cluttered and poorly filled. We were there for a new article that is not yet available everywhere. The spaces should be more open and more tidy and supplemented. We have not been in the showroom by the way.

Waiting in line to pay for 30 minutes with so many cash registers closed is not OK.

Ikea in Amsterdam is great, children can play together here for an hour. This allows us to walk around comfortably.

IKEA like all other IKEAs. The staff here is very friendly and you cannot miss the Swedish balls.

Nice shop to find everything and anything. Prices are reasonable. Ample parking. And nice restaurant

Big Swedish department store, which also sells furniture. Nice restaurant with Scandinavian orientated food selection.

The setup is typical for all IKEA stores. Little rooms/apartments completely decorated as an example. Gives you some nice ideas.

At IKEA you can buy everything for your house. From a painting at your wall, till a new kitchen with appliances. It s all there!

Far too small, slow staff, no fruit juices, hear that only at the cash register, very bad

It is just the right size. It is easy to access by car and there are many parking lots, so you can easily shop.

Why always such long lines at the checkout? 4 out of tig open :-)

This ikea is by far the best one I ve ever been too! Has more selections than the Amsterdam location, and they were great about social distancing, cleanliness, and how many customers were inside. My go to!

Always nice to go to the ikea. You must also keep a maze against it.

Normally I always go to IKEA AMERSFOORT, this time Amsterdam came out better.
Was very busy which I did not expect.
Doubted to enter, little to no account is taken of the 1.5 meter distance.
I quickly searched for my stuff and went to checkout.
There I was shocked by long lines everywhere and everyone close together 1.5 meters away.
At the self-scan checkout I was pointed to a place, the security was watching behind me all the time, continuously felt that something was wrong, also because they were talking about me.
When I asked if something was wrong, I got turned upside down because I had 16 articles and he wanted to check everything again if I had paid for it.
Everything was fine, of course, but it was annoying the way.

As long as the covid is not over, I can now order my IKEA stuff online.

Summary: too busy, no overview of staff, children running everywhere, long line at checkout.
RISK GROUP MUST NOT SHOP HERE!

For an IKEA , layout good, plenty of shortcuts.
Customer service staff, always excellent when needing to return or exchange.
Staff , especially in restaurant, always helpful, even when rushed and dealing with difficult people.
They do a great job, the management must be happy with such a team

Very unreliable people there in the kitchen department. Better go to Haarlem. They cheat you in front of you!

Parking space and all easy facilities and a wonderful restaurant for breakfast, lunch and a warm healthy meal.

LADIES - DO NOT SHOP HERE OR HAVE ANYTHING DELIVERED TO YOUR HOME!! IKEA have employed delivery drivers that work in teams to sexually harass women int their own homes!! They refuse to acknowledge, compensate or change their practices!! A friend of mine has been sexually harassed - assualted - in her own home. When notifying IKEA and asking them to address their practices and take action, they simply said our current standards are sufficient . Obviously NOT TRUE!! She has been left devastated. She s afraid to leave her own home because of this man AND HIS BOSS, who agreed to leave the man alone in her home when he asked. WHAT THE HELL, IKEA??!!!

Unfortunately no sheets of 180x220, but unfortunately not completely successful.

Super large store with the usual IKEA stuff. Inexpensive food, cheap trash, everything your buying addict heart desires. Sometimes it is very busy here! But then really busy. I don't like that so I prefer to go if it is a bit quieter. If Ajax is playing then the garage is full of visitors to Ajax because it is within walking distance of the Johan Cruijf Arena. Good luck!

Bizarre how they can come up with such a beautiful name for each product.

Great store, where unfortunately a large part of the stock is also in an external warehouse (2 minutes' drive). That is not a problem in itself, but it is not clearly indicated for every product. Food quality is just like any IKEA, just delicious, but things like the Veggie Dog sometimes sell out quickly.

You hit your head when you want to try out a sofa because they put it in a rack. Strange setup.

Just like any other ikea. Access on foot coming from the subway is a little confusing.

With IKEA you have lots of options for a reasonable price. I recommend to stick to a premade list from home or you likely come back with much more than you initially bargained for.

Good IKEA store, easy to reach, even by public transport or bicycle. Just a shame they have a second warehouse that is difficult to get to if you don't have a car

Very large area, good choices of products as usual.
Only issue is that it is slightly far from the metro stop.

Tried the Vega hot dog for the first time. I have to say for that price and taste I would not let it go. Just do it!

Ikea as it should be. Wide overview and a lot of choice. Too bad the cash registers have such long queues.

Only needed one small thing, they have lots of cash registers and even cash registers where you can scan yourself, there were 2 cash desks open with long lines waiting, then I left and bought the product somewhere else.

Long queue at checkout today. Lots of young people buying for back to school maybe? Otherwise things went smoothly during our shopping trip. Found everything we needed rather quickly.

As if it is an outing, the people enter. Still that crazy route, insanely long waiting times at the service counter, where you have to give out all kinds of privacy-sensitive data for a simple and small refund.

Relatively small choice in competence to other Ikea's. Very busy, especially in the weekends, more crowed then furniture. Ikea Haarlem is just as far from Amsterdam but much more spacious and only few people. They have two stocks, one of them is pretty far and only reachable by car. But if your goods are availible directly in store or you have to pick them up in the 'far away' stock us only told at the kassa. A real dussapointement if you do not have a car. I go there because this is the only ikea in the neighborhood that is reachable with public transport. So when you find out that your product is only availible in the 'far away stock' that you cannot reach by public transport, it's really annoying. That means that you have spend half day for travel and shopping for nothing and have to go home empty handed

Ikea is a very large all you can find for house store. It is nice they have a floor with the ambients assembled to you see how it is and have ideas on what to buy.
