Terrible terrible owner . We will be not supporting this man. Terrible customer service when the actual apartments do not follow through on issues with other tenants . This type of business loves to take your money but does not take care of its residents. I would not refer anyone to IDM properties. IDM won't even answer a phone!!!!!
I ve been living at a property managed by IDM for about 6 months and up until now have had a great experience.
Recently, our building (and 2 others managed by our property management company) fell victim to a series of thefts which the building managers have refused to share with residents. They know that resident property was stolen from the locked bike storage room and they have footage showing who is responsible.
When I asked them why they haven t shared this information with residents, they told me that they won t share this until they feel that they have all of the information.
The problem is that this break in happened over a week ago so people who haven t checked on their property in a couple weeks don t know that it s missing and therefore can t begin the recovery process by filing a police report.
Additionally, if someone can break into the bike room, they ve gained access to the entire apartment complex so the safety of the residents is compromised. This is information that every resident should know to take precautions yet our management refuses to share this information with residents.
Quick to charge the residents penalty, but takes forever to refund the deposit after moving out!
This company is GREAT! I lived at an IDM community in East Vancouver short term after I got married. They were always so professional and kind. The community it self was well attended to and staff was proactive! When Covid-19 happened, they were quick to inform us of the extensive safety precautions they were taking to ensure the residents safety. We got our deposit refund in a matter of 10 days! Any staff member had nothing to say but great things about the company not to mention the outstanding core values they were founded on and operate by. IDM doesn't just talk the talk, they walk the walk. We will definitely be referring their properties to friends moving!
IDM is a great company to work, and to live! I started as a resident in one of their communities and ended up getting a job with them. Really enjoyed my time there, and if I ever move back to Vancouver that is where I plan to live and work again! Highly recommend.
