**Unfriendly and unhelpful**
I emailed the embassy and no response. I also called and no one answers the phone and no voicemail available. I waited 5 weeks before I came in person. This was my first time to an Israeli embassy, so I was excited to go and speak to them. They have zero knowledge on Kibbutz programs. But that wasn't what made me unhappy. It was the unwelcoming and unfriendly attitude of the staff that made it an unpleasant experience. They also have no respect for your time.
What a disappointment.
If possible, avoid going to this embassy.

This is a good embassy with good people

This is a good embassy with good people

Forty-three years ago as Vietnam was coming to a close, I had an chance encounter with the Israeli crew of a McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II jet interceptor and fighter-bomber.
Since I was curious, I asked, "How much longer are you going to try to keep AIOC, and thus the Russian Bear, out of the Mediterranean?
The Captain deferred to his Major, who answered quietly without a smile, "As long as it takes."
The Captain I was standing next to later asked, "Where the hell did that come from?"

My answer, "from Sir Winston himself."

Get a visa from these good folks, go see their tiny country, and ask for yourself.

I just went to the embassy in Washington DC to update my passport and get some papers.
At first the security guy looked tough but very quickly we got in, and they were very helpful. Not only that, but contrary to what other reviews I saw before writing this said, the person helping us at first was very nice and was definitely very professional and efficient.
Then we got to the desk and got the help we needed. She was very patient, very understanding and extremely helpful.

Israeli's are tough at nature, but trust me they were extremely helpful and I got everything I needed to my full satisfaction.

Parking was NOT a pleasant experience, but the embassy itself was more than I had expected
Overall a definite 5 star experience, and anyone saying otherwise has either failed to actually go, or was already having a very bad day.

I tried calling many times trying to connect with someone who can check
the status on something and each time I called a message came on saying the person with this number has NOT set up their mailbox, so NO ONE can even leave a message. Very disappointing. With limited hours they are open this makes it difficult to get something done.

Very frustrating place to go to. They do not make anything easy. I waited over 4 hours there while pregnant. I did not go to the bathroom once because I was afraid someone to steal my spot. They seem to have like 3 people at one computer doing one task. Either they need to get more help or open up later. Other comments are right about them never answering their phone. I only got lucky catching them toward end of their work day. from 9-1 ish they only handle walk ins so forget about the phone ever being answered. after that they will take phone calls until 4 pm.

We went yesterday and we didn't really have an app...

We went yesterday and we didn't really have an appointment but after hearing us out, the security said they would see if they can get us in. They did get us in and we were very grateful. However as much as the 2 representatives of the embassy tried to help us with what we needed, they were unable because we were missing a document that was supposed to be sent to them from Israel. They knew how far we came and how much we needed the issue resolved and they sincerely showed that by apologizing multiple times. They made us a new appointment for this morning and as soon as the representative saw us today she apologized again! Since the document did arrive, she took care of everything we needed and once more she showed remorse that she wasn't able to take care of it yesterday, thereby causing us to return again to DC. Although we had to come twice, it was well worth it. Unfortunately these days, it's not often that you see government workers who really care about the people they serve.

Thank you so much for all you do! Keep up the great work!

I wanted to use this forum to express my profound shame that the US government betrayed its commitment to one of our greatest allies and the only functioning Democracy in the Middle East. Please know that the recent actions by our President and UN ambassador do not represent the views of most Americans. You can look forward to a return to our cordial relations when the President Elect is sworn in.

They made my dream a reality!

They made my dream a reality!

I am about to travel to Jordan and was dying to visit Jerusalem on the way. I was left just one day to travel. So I went to the embassy explain the urgency that I need to travel the next day and if they could grant me Israel visa. I couldn't still believe I've gotten my visa on the spot in less than 2 hrs. I am going to visit the place I've been dreaming so long, Jerusalem!!

Thank you is not enough!! !

Waited outside with my wife, it was very cold and very humiliating, The embassy was open, and it was no lines or anybody in front of us, just waited for the sake of waiting, 20 minutes later, they let us in, we were the only ones, the "teller" came and asked us if we made an appointment, when I said we didn't have to, she said ...ok, this will take a long time...?!?!
very negative attitude, unpleasant and rude, when she realized we did our homework and came ready, she started to actually do her work, not before complaining about us for being not nice ...(really?) once she gave the papers to the assistant council things got done quick and officiant, with no issues.
So to the Embassy of Israel: 1) don't let Israeli citizens wait outside in the cold or heat, check us, let us in, and let us wait inside. 2) You can be more professional, nicer, and more welcoming. 3) Waiting room can use some music, newspapers etc, people are waiting for hours.
4) listen to our complains, there is always room to improve,
Thank You for "Dorit" you sweeten our visit.

Took a day off just so I can have my Israeli passport extended in meted week.
When on site, trying to get some help from the front desk, the young man asks me to get out and wait in line.
Out,means completely outside where is all other people waiting to get in. It is freezing outside and there is no waiting room inside the embassy,Shame on such service!!!

Never the less,as I Wilkes in ,the young man asking me all kinds off very very personal questions like I just got out from a terror organization.

Finally when I'm inside waiting to get my passport extended, not only that this very young girl with a very Havy accent who can barely speak and finish a single sentence in English, asking me if I have 2 photos with me in a very rude tone, which I don't need in order to extend my passport. On top of everything she is yelling at the customer in front of hall.
I'm an Israeli, and I felt like a true terrorist who has been treated by the Israelites.
Stupid and very rude workers at this embassy. Shame on you!!!

I was not the US and I do not know how the service name but a review of Embassies in the region through Google straight, I can say that the structure of our embassy in the humble and non-prescription Israeli flag flying in exudes people "Sorry we waved the flag" if it were up to them they would hide it completely did not see low mast same page size and a small flag is placed inside the building and out proudly as the rest of the Ambassador there are beautiful China Czech Egypt Malaysia Cameroon Honduras and more ... Israel is quite modest and unspectacular third world countries have more beautiful buildings really fucking

I've been trying to contact them for literally weeks via phone or email. They don't seem to work or be there EVER. Your call goes straight to "full mailbox" or just unanswered at all, no matter what time or day you call ( yes I did call during hours that one is supposed to call and not during holidays). They don't respond to emails either. Very unprofessional and frustrating
