Beautiful grounds and surroundings. The hotel rooms are outdated and need renovation and decoration.
The evening meal and breakfast nice. Covid certainly made an impact with the ambience of the stay, however staff were very pleasant and helpful under the circumstances.

We had the most amazing Beatrix Potter themed afternoon tea at the hotel today. There was a group of 7 of us including children and the staff were lovely, welcoming and attentive. They even sorted a very last minute lactose free version of the afternoon tea which was fabulous and included 4 different cakes! We sat outside after we had finished eating so the children could run around and we very much enjoyed a further 2 hours admiring the gardens, sipping on our unlimited tea. The childrens afternoon tea was so special, they couldn t believe it when it arrived. Thank you!

We visited Ickworth Hotel last month and had a fabulous time. The staff were very welcoming upon arrival and had done a great job in handling the difficult COVID-19 social distancing arrangements for a property of this era. The food was great and the kitchen were very accommodating of our specialist dietary requirements. The pool (with dedicated social distancing time slots) and bike hire to ride around the estate were particularly enjoyed by our children.

A total disgrace. Called in for coffee. Lounge dirty and dusty. A young boy refused to put his colouring books on the table as it was dusty and sticky. Cleaner pushed in with a vacuum and thumped all the cushions around us. The dust that came out was unbelievable and it was all around us. We received no apology. As we no longer fancied our coffee we walked out of the hotel in disgust..

Wonderful afternoon tea for my friend. The staff couldn't have been any nicer and attentive. Beautiful surroundings and grounds to explore. Will go back to explore the main house once it has reopened. Lovely experience.

The Ickworth Hotel is a lovely building set in beautiful grounds covering 1800 acres, the staff were polite and attentive, swimming pool was excellent although you do have to walk a few yards outside in your dressing gown that is provided, decent size bedroom & bathroom was clean and tidy but not spotless with tea & coffee making facilities.
Breakfast was superb with an excellent choice on the menu all served in a very polite manner.
Evening menu was very limited, cooked & served to a very high standard but comes with a high price.
I would highly recommend.
