I was amazed by the reviews so I would like to share my positive experiences. My general practitioner Mrs. Decanniere is very friendly and understanding. I am more than satisfied with the care she provides.
It is true that you sometimes have to wait to call for an appointment, it still makes a difference at what time you call. The ladies at the reception are very friendly and helpful and most importantly, I could always quickly make an appointment in case of an emergency.
Excellent practice with many GPs; enough space in the waiting room; assistants who are clearly trained to assess health problems for urgency. The only downside is the waiting time on the phone, but that is perhaps more a sign of how much demand for care there is in Lombok and how many people would prefer to call for an appointment.
Referring within the center while that was (emphatically) not my request for help. Very incompetent practice nurse. So it didn't connect either.

Mediocre healthcare. Impossible to get an appointment. I'd been a patient there for 5 years and it never happened that I got an appointment earlier than a week from booking. Doctors have no clue who you are and are the happiest if they can quickly get rid of you. No follow up ever, nobody is interested if you got better and the treatment worked. Not recommended.
After a telephone consultation for a referral letter, I was told that it would be forwarded to the healthcare provider and that I would receive a confirmation email. When I returned from vacation two weeks later I had no confirmation email and the care provider had not received anything.
Health Center Lombok told me that they had printed the referral and that he had been waiting for me for two weeks. Without prior notice. This costs me an extra two weeks waiting time, if not more. They cannot e-mail him now, 'because that is not safe' and also cannot send it digitally to the care provider, 'because it has been created in the wrong system'. They can send it to me by post ... Then I indicate that I want to file an official complaint, but apparently that can only be done manually by coming by and filling in a form.
Does this practice still live in the eighties or something? Who fills out a paper form these days? I've never had any complaints about my home doctor, Dr. Van Stralen, she is a great GP who has always helped me well. But this health center's system is in need of a serious update, and the communication is nothing short of crappy.

Dr Yadava and his colleagues successfully saved my father's life when he had a cardiac arrest in the waiting room at the surgery. I think we can all appreciate how little time a Doctor has to act promptly during a cardiac arrest and with the help of everyone at the surgery, he is now back to his normal daily life. Thank you to everyone who helped.
