First six months of 5.5 years were exciting. The reason was we all believed the lies during training. People there are depressed, always anxious due to unreasonable pressures put on employees. Most 80% didn't even have any IT experience. Hostile work environment. It is 2017 now and there are not even 500 people working at IBM dubuque. There were over 1600 people at one time here. Average wage is 16-17 hour, no overtime. Most of the amazing people that did have IT exp. left within 2 years or less. Don't go on the elevators because all you feel and see from those inside is depression, anxiety and fear.
Have been there since the start, good people to work with, amazing global experience!
There are better places to work, but I have worked at far, far worse places. You'll never get too comfortable before something gets changed on you as well.
One time I met my landlord here to give him rent money and it seemed fancy so that's all I can really say about it.
This is a state of the art facility for IBM (International Birthing Management) Global Delivery Center, we do deliveries over there, that is what scary is going on there.
