Unwilling staff, tip seeking and no determination.
Very very dirty.

They need serious serious work.

But.
Beach is AMAZING

A/c is cold and nice
Some of the staff are helpful and polite. Rare cases.

One of the most beautiful places in the near north coast. It is so close to alexandria and beside Marakia village. It has a brivate beach and about three swimming pools. The restaurant is excellent. There is also a garage for cars and a garden for kids.

I review here the touristic village Marakia, where the Hotel is placed, Marakia is a comfortable nicely located touristic seaside village, recommended to be visited. The Iberotel is located there & makes that visit feasible.

Great service! The were many big and small swimming pools. It is rather difficult to swim in the ocean there since the waves are quite strong.
The animation team was awesome!! Their whole prpgram was really creative and they were extremely nice and passionate.

The hotel location is good the design and elevation makes most of the rooms have good sea view. Breakfast was good . I didn't try the dinner buffet but I have tried dine in room food it was average. The hotel rooms need some renovation and maintenance but overall is comfy spacious which is the hotel already in process.the beach in the hotel is beautiful most of the year but this time of year it was full of jellyfishes and that didn't have me the chance to have a soak . Overall i have enjoyed my staying there. The hotel is cozy and have beautiful scenery.

Perfect View, friendly staff ,good food quality and variety , spacious clean pools and nice beach .Its almost 2 hours from Cairo .
But rooms are not luxurious and need renovation and the sea is not suitable for swimming as it is not safe there and not clean . Otherwise you can just sit on the beach enjoy the perfect sea breeze and awesome scenery and weather even during hot July .
We enjoyed our stay .

Stay away from this dump. The hotel has a beautiful location along the white Sandy beaches of the Egyptian blue-water Mediterranean Sea.
But...the hotel is about 1 hour away from downtown Alexandria and, at least during the winter months, this area is dead. Uber doesn't offer service at the hotel (it does in Alex), so if you want to go to town you are at the mercy of the hotel taxis that charge you 2x as much as you would pay on an Uber back.
The hotel is very old and is falling apart. Definitely no more than a 1-star (it is labeled as a 5-star hotel-LOL).
The casita rooms were relatively comfortable, but service is horrible (didn't clean the room), hot water is questionable, TV reception is from the '60s and forget about internet, which is only available on the lobby (spotty at best, very slow).
The food is very limited in scope and variety, and is very expensive. Like the taxis, you have no options as there is nothing else around you
Looks like they are doing some renovations, though I am not sure if the construction areas are being renovated (nobody seem to be working), or they look in their permanent state of disrepair.
Not worth it, even for free.
