My experience with AutoNation Hyundai Tempe has been outstanding over the years. My recent lease was handled by Dan Demeyer. That experience was outstanding. He is a consummate professional who bends over backwards to ensure your buying experience is a good one. He exceeded all expectations and made the transaction a positive experience with no hassle or stress. His hands on approach to customer satisfaction is the best I have experienced in purchasing a vehicle. My wife and I thank him for his efforts and dedication to making the customer comfortable, and ensuring that we were as important as the sale. Hats off.

If zero stars was a possibility, they would receive that. I'm attempting to re-establish credit after a bankruptcy a year ago and did the online financial application. Need called to speak to me before the app was run and I told him about the bankruptcy and when it was. He called back to say leasing wasn't an option but I could buy and went on to lecture me as if I was a 5 year old with zero comprehension of how bankruptcy works. I finally told him Thanks but when. I'm ready I will go somewhere else and his response was "good, that's perfectly fine with me". I called to speak to his sales manager, Dan, who was immediately rude, aggressive, and belligerent telling me it's he said she said and I "better wrap it up because he has actual customers in front of him". He also went on to lecture me on how bankruptcy works and I told him I understand that I was calling to let him know how unprofessional his staff is but that now I see where he would get it since as a manager telling me to wrap it up he obviously sets a terrible example. He got more belligerent and claimed he never said anything like that and that all he could do was listen to the call with the salesman and get back to me. I told him he better listen to this call as well since he most definitely was back peddaling on what he'd said. Of course I have heard zero from anyone, despite several attempts to speak to the GM with no response. No one deserves to be treated or spoken to like that. I work in customer service and would be fired on the spot for treating anyone like I was spoken to by either of both of them. Absolutely horrible customer service and would never spend a penny there or any other AutoNation dealership.

Just bought a Sonata here and the process went way smoother than I imagined. Dan Demeyer was our sales guy. He was straight forward and so easy to deal with. I was honestly hesitant from buying from dealers from past experiences but this was much different and renewed by faith in car dealerships. Thanks!

I set up a recall appointment with Erica. I informed her over the phone about a check engine light I had appearing on my dash. She told me they will take a look at it free of charge since I have my recalls. They will need to take a look at it (check engine light) to make sure it had nothing to do with the recalls. Well once I get to the dealership to check in my car, she asked why I haven t had my check engine light looked at yet. I said because I wasn t financially stable at the time period. She asked if I was financially stable now and I said yes so she took advantage of the situation to say my check engine light would not be looked at unless I pay the diagnostic fee $140. After I decided to leave and not get my repair done the manager JJ called me try to convince me not to write a review. Much rather them spend time training their employees to properly communicate than to respond to this review.

Do not ever buy a car here. I have had nothing but issues dealing w this place from servicing my Vehicle to looking for a new car. These people are Not honest and will lie to your face. The warranties do not cover what breaks on the vehicles. I have 75k miles ok my 2011 sonata and it is currently not starting, the window tracks broke on one window. It costs 300 dollars to replace a window switch that randomly broke. Not to mention the car does not align well and it overall is just falling apart. This is all from just normal wear and tear. No abuse. The starting issue has been happening off and on the last year. I took it in to get fixed and it started for them first try. I had to pay the diagnostics fee and have then tell me sorry they couldn't find the problem. The same day I picked it up it wasn't starting on the first push of the start button. It finally stopped starting and it is currently in the dealers and they are saying they cannot diagnose because my battery i need a new battery. I've had my battery tested because of this start issue and it was not tested low. They made me purchase a new battery and that did not fix the problem. I have now purchased a second part from them and that did not fix the issue. Over $200 has been spent and all they say is I can keep buying parts and trying different things. Do your mechanics not know how to properly diagnose and fix a vehicle? I thought they are trained and professional. If you can't fix the brand of cars you're selling then you shouldn't be selling these cars. Meanwhile I have seen a car sales man while dealing with these issues thinking it will be better to just buy a new car. The car salesman lied to me about their pricing and inventory. FYI their inventory msrp and markdowns are all located on their website so don't let them lie and fool you. Just do some research. He tried to sell me last years model for the same price as this years model. He then lied and said they were not the same price. I caught him in his lies and he had his GM call me to see if she could calm the tension. I informed her what I was interested in and she said she would email me a price. I never received the email. This is the GM! If you say you are going to write me an offer email on a vehicle you should follow through with it especially since you are the GM. Horrible experience. I do not recommend using this dealership in any way from service to sales.

It took 4 days to get my car back . Took them 2.5 days to figure out a noise. They did not Offer a multi-point inspection Been here a few times, and every time I've been here for a repair, the invoice states that "customer declined" multi=point inspection, when in fact it's not offered. The service adviser was ok, very apologetic every time he called to keep me updated on my car. Might need to find a different dealership for service, which is sad because I've coming here for years.

Definitely the best car buying experience I ve had! Even followed up a few days later to ensure satisfaction! Checked out a couple other Hyundai locations before this one and did not have a good experience with a good deal like I did here! Totally recommend Ted @ Hyundai Tempe!

What a great place. Especially if you don't want to pay all those fees that other dealerships charge i.e. wax, $799 and an extra alarm for $799. Are you aware that All Hyundais already have an alarm.. Why do the other deakerships charge for a second one? All AutoNation charges for is window tint... And who doesn't want that.

Amanda provided superb customer service. She went above and beyond to keep me posted and did everything possible to keep cost low for my repairs. The mechanic Jay that worked on my hybrid spoke to me in detail when I picked up my car. Explained what he worked on and replaced and what additional parts will need to be worked on. He wanted to keep cost of repairs low. I appreciate their efforts and am thankful for their honesty. I will continue to take my car to this location for any future service or repairs. Antoinette

My previous car was a Hyundai and I was very pleased with it, so I knew I would purchase one the next time. I checked other dealerships and none of them made me feel like they were listening to what I said I was looking for except my salesman Ted Journiette. Ted wasn't pushy or anxious or made me feel like he was trying to sell me any car. Ted took the time to listen to me, to what I wanted and I left feeling very pleased and with no regrets. Ted has even checked with me asking how I'm doing with my Santa Fe. I truly appreciated that. I would definitely refer my family and friends when they're looking to buy.

This really has nothing to do with the overall review of the Dealership. The car buying experience was great. No pressure and very friendly sales staff. My problem was with the people they have in customer service representing this dealership as a whole. I had a defect in the paint on my car's hood. The nice people in finance took care of me and told me that they would resurrect the problem. But once it was turned over to the people that are suppossed to over see the workmanship was when all the problems started. First i was told it would take a couple of days to fix which was fine. I gave them 3 thinking that would be sufficient . I waited and waited. Calls to the dealership went unreturned. There was no communication by them whatsoever. When i did finally get a hold of them they told me that they would check on it and give me a call right back. 3+ hours went buy and i decided to call them back. The person's excuse for not calling me back was because they were too busy to pick up the phone and talk to me for the couple minutes it would of took. This went on for a total of 8 days instead of the couple days they said, all this time NEVER recieving a phone call explaining the situation. I had to chase them down everytime. The day i got my car back i noticed that they had some overspray on the fron fender and there was a ittle bit of damage to my rear bumper area. When i went to the manager MIKE H. to show him what was wrong with my car, he walked right past me and said that he didn't have time for me and that he had to go to the Dodge store and jumped in a vehicle and left. How is guy in his position dealing with the public? This dealership really needs to take a good long look at this guy and determine if he is even fit to be in his position . He shouldn't even be allowed to wash the cars out back. He is a very rude individual who lacks proper people skills. He also refused to give approval for the work for the damage that was on my rear bumper area even after another manager gave the approval. Fortunately the collision center felt differently and fixed everything at no cost. Bottom line nice dealership, just down right rude and in some areas

I went in to lease a new Hyundai Elantra and came out of there completely satisfied with my purchase. Ted Journiette is the best salesman I have ever spoken to in my life. He knows the vehicles, is very nice, polite, and not pushy. I received even more options on my car than I wanted with a cheaper price than other dealers I visited. I cannot say enough great things about Ted and the dealership. Visit Hyundai Tempe and ask for Ted to get a fantastic deal with a sincere smile.

Amazing. The only way to describe the no hassle experience. My only contact with the AutoNation dealership prior to actually going to the dealership to pay and pick up my car was online. Dan (the sales person) who handled my purchase from beginning to the end was very professional and easy to work with. Unlike other dealerships I had contacted, the people at AutoNation did not insist on talking to me over the phone and they did not insist on having me come to the dealership before hand.

I had let it be known from the start that I wanted to conduct business online and would go to the dealership once we came to an agreement on pricing. They honored my request and the purchase went fast and smoothly. At the dealership I had a similar experience upon meeting Dan. I was in and out in just about little over an hour.

Thanks to Dan Dan Demeyer and his Manager, this car buying experience was the best ever. Definitely 10 stars service.

I've been really happy with my 2009 Hyundai Sonata...

I've been really happy with my 2009 Hyundai Sonata. Hardly anything goes wrong with it and often if something does break, it's covered by Hyyndai's warranty. The service department at Autonation Hyundai Tempe has always done a great job for me and their prices seem reasonable. They got me in the same day (Friday) for an alignment and oil change so I could take the car on a road trip planned for the weekend.

The bad:

The bad:
Just purchased a new car there and had a heck of a time getting some minor kinks and hiccups worked out. A small paint rework for a 1/2 inch scratch turned into needing an entirely new hood when the paint was completely burned through by a orbital buffer. Dealer installed tint looked worse than the job I did myself when I was 16 and cost hundreds above what a high quality shop would do it for in AZ. Gave them a second shot to get it right and it moved from the worst job I've seen to the second worst. A small trim piece was seated incorrectly in the interior, and when it was returned "fixed" it looked even worse. They eventually fixed the trim and I'm going to take the car to my tint shop in Tucson to do that right. I had to drive from Tucson three times to get things sorted and spent the majority of a week doing so. They are busy and understaffed and Covid certainly isn't helping, but attention to detail was lacking. I also get that I purchased a Hyundai and not a Rolls Royce, so I am realistic with my expectations.

Now, for the good:
My sales guy, Johnny Olsen, is a genuinely good dude. The only fault I had was that he was busy, but even then, he was able to check in via phone, email, etc. in a timely manner and he was respectful and always moving towards solutions. Not once in my entire time dealing with anyone at Autonation did I feel like they were trying to take advantage of me or waste my time...despite wasting a fair amount of it in the end. Did I leave perfectly happy? No. Did I leave cursing and yelling and wanting to call an attorney? Also no. It was genuinely a 3/5-star experience and I could have easily seen it going worse if everyone there weren't actually interested in fixing problems.

The short:
We got there in the end and I'd still recommend Autonation because I value honesty and communication above all else, and the majority of issues were not caused by Autonation staff, but by a mixture of bad luck (like the distance I needed to travel), 3rd-parties (like their tint or touch-up contractor), and a lacking attention to detail by being understaffed that is discussed above.

My recommendation:
Work with better contractors and implement a standard operating procedure for returning a car to the owner to double/triple check that the issue has been fixed for real.

Nice sales people... Not pushy and very helpful!

At the very least, I would get a quote online with their website. From the sales person Dan Lopez, to the sales manager Michael Herron, and the finance, I was treated very well. Without asking, the took it upon themselves to find me another rebate to save me even more money.

I had a horrible experience elsewhere, so do yourself a favor, and speak with someone from here.

I had a great experience buying a new car at Auto Nation Hyundai in Tempe.
I met everyone that could be associated with my car both during and after my purchase! My sales person, Mike Dell was just great. He explained everything about the different models and went out of his way to get me the car I wanted. I got a great buy and was delighted with the finance department that handled all the paperwork and made everything easy!
I highly recommend this dealership if anyone is looking to buy!

They are very kind and thoughtful and I love that there wasn't all the same b.s. that generally goes hand in hand with new car sales. Kevin was most wonderful and a lot of fun to work with. I bought my car Sunday, working with Tye (who is amazing). I've been shopping for about two years...I test drove quite a few cars in the week prior. I had a 2007 Hyundai Sonata, which never had any mechanical problems with 120k miles on it, however, I'd been resistant to the idea of having another Hyundai. My boyfriend browbeat me into at least test driving one of the new Sonatas, so when I walked in Saturday it was with a bit of a chip on my shoulder.
Tye greeted me at the door, I told him I wanted to test drive the most tricked out Sonata on the lot...I didn't want to be at the dealership more than 30 minutes and I wasn't making a decision today. He brought me a 2014 Sonata Turbo, I fell in love with it as soon as I sat down. I knew I was going to buy one the next day, but I still wanted to sleep on it. There was no pressure, everyone was very friendly and efficient. I picked a color and went home. Sunday I was in and out in about two hours, paperwork complete, warranty's in hand.

MONDAY, I hit something in the road and it put a gash in my tire and wheel, took it to the service department and scheduled to take it in for repairs this coming Monday. (I got the amazing Tire/Wheel warranty) I'm going to swap for a loaner while they repair my tire and tint my windows. Everyone has been amazingly nice, fast, and efficient. I work night shift so I've gone early directly from work and they've been very understanding and have worked as quickly as possible so I can go home and bed. I couldn't be more pleased with my service to date.

Jim did an excellent job explaining the details of the Hyundai Accent. The buying process is very transparent. They give the maximum rebates that you can get. No pressures , they just provide what they can offer and it is up to you if you want to close the deal or look for other car & dealers. Nice place to look for vehicles. Excellent service

I recently purchased a Hyundai Santa Fe Sport at AutoNation Hyundai in Tempe, AZ. It was one of the smoothest and best experience I've ever had purchasing a car at a dealer.
My salesman John Olsen was extremely knowledgeable and answered all my questions. He was great. You wouldn't believe how many dealers lost the chance to sell me a car by not knowing facts about their product that I had already verified online. It was unreal. And to top it all off, I got a great deal. I highly recommend going to AutiNation Hyundai.

They didnt try to upsell me on anything like other dealers have. I get great service here, and the employees are super nice... plus, free coffee, water, and donuts! First time I've been to this Hyundai service center. The staff was all very nice and helpful and service was fast. Amanda was very friendly and communication was excellent. Thewaiting area was comfortable with coffee available, bagels and cream cheese and a donut spread. The floors and furniture could use some updating, they are very worn worn compared to the San Tan location waiting area. The courtesy shuttle was very convenient to take me back to work and also picked me up when I requested, the driver was very nice. I would recommend and also return here.

This is a great dealer. Every department is held to the highest standards and professionalism and it shows. The service department is very efficient and thorough...I have no doubt that my two Hyundai's are always getting the TLC they deserve when I drop them off for service. The family atmosphere is undeniable and is most readily reflected by father and son Larry and Josh Gavin from the sales team. I traded in a Hyundai for for a certified pre-owned Hyundai with Larry's patient, knowledgeable and friendly support. Josh and I love to talk about motorcycles and cars and he is always helpful for anything I need. I always make it a point to stop by and say "Hi" when I am in the area. Great team and you will be glad you decided to shop AutoNation Hyundai Tempe.

Overall excellent experience. There was delay in getting service and waited for someone to help us in service for over 10 minutes and then we had to go look for assistance. Once that happened everything ran smoothly and was fixed quite quickly. Thanks to one of the managers that helped with the purchased of my car a couple month before them.

Shuttle service was provided, with safe distances maintained between me and the driver. And when it was time to get my car I was reminded to check for possible discounts. I spoke with Mike Herron "sales manager" and he said they had no district managers that i could talk to so i could report the crappy service i have received LOL! What a joke! this place is horrible and i would not do business with them! Buyer beware Michael Easton is a scumbag and a true "car salesman" he will lie to you about anything to try to get you to buy. He told me a out the door price on a vehicle and later told me they couldn't honor that?! I'd be surprised if he lasts any longer. Please keep these guys from screwing people over.

Great people to deal with and very helpful, also no 15 trips to the back office to check with " the boss" to check on the sale price. Another thing that's great, is they don't talk about what they cant do, only what they can do for you. Price was good and car was serviced and clean ready to go.

Worst experience I have ever had. I had to keep calling them to try and get an estimate on how much it would cost to fix my car. All they kept saying is they were busy and would call back, they never did. I finally was able to set up and appointment, then the day before my appointment they called trying to make one for me.
I get down there and they told be it was required to have a service check on my car. Even though I had it done somewhere else. But they said they couldn't touch my car without doing it. So I said fine and left my car with them and ask out long it would take. I was told a few hours. I was fine with that as it was 10 and I had to be to work at 2:30. I get a call about and hour later saying it was what I said it was that was broken. Amanda who I had been talking to this whole time gave me a cost that was way more then I was told, at this point I just wanted my car fixed. So I told then to go ahead and fix it, again I was told it would only be like an hour to an hour and a half. That they would call when it was ready for me.
So my ride and I went to run some errands. It was getting late and I called once around 1 and it wasn't ready. I had to start making plans on how I would get to work. But the problem was I wouldn't be able to get my car till the next day and I would have to miss my morning shift. At around 2:20 I called and they finally told me it was ready. So I went to go get it. I called my boss to let her know I was running late. Well I get there and talk to a manager all she does it apologises and tells me it won't happen again. It won't happen again because I don't think I will ever be returning. Go to a different location!

This is the second purchase for me and my experience with Hyundai has always been great. Joshua was very experienced in his knowledge of the Hyundai Santa Fe. He had answers for all of my questions and made us feel comfortable with the test drive as well as the actual purchase. We did not feel pressured into buying the car at any time. Joshua gave us the most fair deal the first time and we took it. Also I was pleasantly surprised that Casey Grant still worked there and he has always given me great customer service. I love my new Hyundai Santa Fe Sport and the safety features are awesome.

Made a 7:00am appointment for recall work on the fuel line. While waiting for the service department to open I spoke with a gentleman getting the same repair on the same year and make. That gentleman's appointment was for 7:30. His Sonata was finished before mine was even brought into the service bay. What is the purpose of making appointments when the service department takes customers in what ever order they please. Rude employees and terrible customer service.

The service completed on my 2013 Elantra GT was done very well. However, the price was way more than I expected. It would have been nice for my service manager to give me price quotes up front so I wouldn't have had such sticker shock when I payed the invoice. Also, they didn't have the brake pads needed for my car and instead of telling me this, they let me sit there in their customer lounge for 5 hours while waiting for the parts delivery. Finally when I complained they did provide me with an Enterprise rent a car so I could go home and come back the next day. Probably the last time I'll have my car serviced here!

I purchased my Tiburon at AutoNation Hyundai 11 years ago, & I had great experience. Since then I have had every single repair and all maintenance done at this dealership. For the first 9 years, the service department was wonderful. The person who handled my account, Dave Allrich, was very friendly, & all my repairs were completed properly.
The last 2 years, however, have been a completely different story. The new representative handling my account is named Casey. He is unfriendly and downright rude when interacting with customers. He cut me off while I was explaining what was wrong with my car & never even let me finish telling him the problems. In addition, when I inquired if the parts for my car were ready, he said it's not his job to know. He then made me call the parts department at the same dealership to check on the parts myself. I brought my father on my last visit to Hyundai, & Casey again was the one we had to deal with. My father said Casey's behavior was, "disgusting for a customer service representative" and that he was in the wrong line of work.
The repairs also have not been properly completed the last 2 years. It took them 3 visits to fix my air conditioner. Each time they informed me it was completely fixed, but then it quite working within days. On my last visit they repaired the trunk & resolved the issue of it not staying up by itself. Now, however, the trunk lever does not work at all. The lever worked perfectly fine before I took my car in.
For nearly a decade, AutoNation Hyundai was the only place I would ever consider taking my Tiburon. I would rate the repairs & customer service an A back then. Unfortunately, the last 2 years at Hyundai have been filled with unpleasant experiences & shoddy car repairs, one after the other. It has come to the point to where I will never again take my car to AutoNation Hyundai for repairs. In addition, when I purchase my next car, a new Genasis coupe, I would not even entertain the thought of giving AutoNation Hyundai my business.

I came in because the battery had died in my car after owning it for 3 years, shortly after the warranty ran out ironically. The service person went out of their way to figure out what battery I needed, did all the paperwork, and took payment. I only had to pick the battery up at parts. That was great service and above and beyond what I expected.

This was the greatest and easiest car buying experience I've ever had - I felt ZERO pressure and even after everything was signed and there was no need to "sell" me on the car, I was widely congratulated and appreciated amongst the entire staff.

Raheem as well was extremely knowledgeable, personable, and made this an amazing experience and I would recommend anybody to his services and the quality of customer care AutoNation Hyundai can offer!

I brought my car to your dealership on Monday and had an excellent experience with your team. My issues were resolved, I was shuttled back to work and picked up later in the day.
