The rooms were nice and breakfast was delicious. The evening staff was very kind and accommodating. With that being said, I don't believe I would stay there again though. The pricetag was not worth it in the end. But it did provide a great time out with friends celebrating a birthday.

The rooms are nice and spacious. The lobby is nice. However, the very best thing is their breakfast! There is a very large selection of prepackaged food, like muffins, pound cake, strudels, individually packaged boiled eggs, multiple types of cereal, and various fruits. During the pandemic, this selection is by far the best of any hotel we've stayed in. Thank you!!

The Hyatt Place Knoxville/Downtown is a wonderful hotel. Fully renovated from the original Farragut hotel stuctrue, this hotel has a beautiful lobby, great new rooftop bar, and modern room amenities. The staff is super friendly and helpful. And you can't be at the downtown location!

My stay here was excellent! The staff was super welcoming and attentive. Complementary full breakfast in the mornings, and a Starbucks in the lobby. The location is perfect. It s a short walk to the convention center, and the rooms are nicer than other near by competitors :D. Tons of food and gift shops near by.

Such a beautiful old historic building with well designed new look. All the color scheme makes you feel you are staying in Europe. The room interior is very modern and clean look. I loved the bed, not cheap. They did a marvelous job redoing!!!

This is a fantastic place to stay! You have all of classic downtown Knoxville around you with shops, unique dining, and beautiful scenery with market square and the university all within walking distance. Their car valet program makes it super easy to handle parking, and it never hurts to have a Starbucks in the lobby!

The hotel was very nice. The rooms are very large, and new. The beds were extremely comfortable. The staff was great. Sandra at the front lobby was very nice, and showed us to our room. The breakfast staff was great. Anthony never stopped moving and helped us with everything we need. And, the hotel was perfectly located on Gay Street.

Went on a Thursday evening. Sat outside. Food was very good and reasonably priced. I had the street tacos, which were delicious and filling. Would have been better to have a side accompany it. Perhaps it was because we were outside and out of the sight of our server that we were a bit neglected. Took quite a while to take our order and our server had to be reminded a couple of times about things we had requested. It seems that she was the only one working in the lounge area, so it was probably due to being overwhelmed and not lack of care.

My 16 yr old daughter was staying with some friends (& few chaperones). My daughter is a diabetic and was having trouble keeping her sugar at a normal level..and I wasn t with her to assist.
Steve answered when I called the hotel on Sept 30th, 2018 and I greatly appreciate his help with getting my daughter something to eat and sent up quickly! Within 25 mins her blood sugar came up and stayed up. Not being with her I was concerned but thanks to Steve I was able to relax at home and know she was safe.

I only went to the rooftop bar, but it was pretty swank. Cocktails on tap with fancy garnishes. I had the salty Japanese melon highball, it was tasty if you like sweet and salty. They have heaters and a cozy atmosphere and a nice view. Pretty chill.

Wow! Wonderful stay! Lots to do, great restaurants, very walkable, dog friendly, dog park and friendly people.

The hotel staff were wonderful especially, Delyn & Sam! The hotel was clean, our room was wonderful, the bed was comfortable, the cleaning staff did a great job!

Free breakfast and roof top bar.

They were very gracious and accommodated our two labrador retrievers.

I highly recommend Hyatt place in Knoxville!

Located in the center of Knoxville within walking distance to the market area, this hotel was perfect! The rooms were spacious, the employees were very polite and the complimentary breakfast was above what I've come to expect at hotels where they are offered. Definitely will stay again if I'm in the area!

The staff (especially Brooke when we checked in) was tremendous. The location was perfect for doing things in Market Square and going to the Vols game. Good breakfast and just an all-around great experience.

I stayed at Hyatt Place over The Tennessean on 5/3/19-5/5/19 during the Davis/Darden wedding. The staff was extremely welcoming and helpful for the most part which may be the ONLY plus about not spending the extra money to stay at The Tennessean. The rooms were decent, mediocre view in 425. I didn t get a high floor although I requested it, yet people in my party who didn t received one. We were very confused on how the elevators worked when it came to the ppl patronizing the rooftop and guest staying at the hotel, there were long lines at times and the guy working the elevators didn t let us know if we needed to wait in line with our 6 year old or could we walk around and get on the elevator as we are paying guest. . . In turn we had drunk Rooftop guest make rude comments which was extremely upsetting! because I was with my 6 year old. But whatever I get things happen I let that go. But definitely not kid friendly when you have to deal with partiers . And lastly upon check out I see that I was charged for Valet parking even though I NEVER used the service while I was there not one time. I even had to ask about other options when we checked in because no one mentioned anything other then Valet and the front desk attendant let us know that we could park in the parking deck all weekend for free which we did. So how does that even happen? So now I have to wait for that charge to drop off of my account because as of 5/3 it s still there. Probably will not stay here again and it s a DEFINITE NO if my son is with me.

I love Hyatt place!!! Perfect location right in the heart of downtown Knoxville off Gay street and a single block away from the ever happening Market Square.

This place is the Chikfila of hotels chains. They are all about customer service. Upon arrival I was greeted and escorted to the elevators while getting told of all the events that happen in the lobby, such as cocktails, FREE BREAKFAST, meeting rooms, buisness center, snack bar, board games and lounging areas!

They have wifi, valet parking (but not required), room service, pool, gym, nice spacious rooms, super comfy beds, modern layouts with a southern charm!

And best of all they are affordable for a hotel right in the midst of all the action! You can walk anywhere you want to walk!

I will stay nowhere else!

My sister and I loved staying here! The lobby is really cute and the rooms are nice and clean. We requested a high floor and had a really nice view of Knoxville from the hallway window. The beds were pretty comfortable and the shades block out a lot of light which is great!

We had a nice stay. Room was clean, guests were asked to keep their mask on while walking throughout hotel (which I appreciate) and we enjoyed the scenery of the Rooftop bar they offer. If you can snag a place near a fire pit, you are in for a nice treat!

The hotel is very clean and modern. The rooms are spacious and well decorated. The TV is placed in a very unusual location and the mirror in the bathroom is unusually large and oddly placed for this bathroom layout. The hotel bar is extremely overpriced. We paid $80 for 4 drinks with very little alcohol. The breakfast buffet is adequate but nothing special. This hotel is all about the location which is its best quality and is also the main reason you should choose to stay there.

Staff was very nice. Nice room very modern. Check in was a ease. My only complaint is parking. Really no other choice than pay the $20 wallet fee considering the only other option is a parking garage a few blocks away that charges hourly.

I did not stay here but needed to take time to give this place 5 stars. My family and I went to Starbucks in the hotel lobby. Needed to use the restroom which was in the hotel. There was a personal incident we encountered and the staff helped us greatly by going to get us a new coffee and cleaning up a huge mess. They were so attentive and caring. If I ever go back to Knoxville we will definitely stay here. Beautiful decor and employees that go above and beyond. Amazing place!

We selected the Hyatt Place downtown for a weekend...

We selected the Hyatt Place downtown for a weekend getaway. It turned out to be a great choice. Great location, lots of things within walking distance. The UT campus is a short scooter ride away. Rooms were spacious and clean, mattress was amazing. Finally, the staff. Jennifer and her staff were phenomenal. Responsive, helpful, and informative. I was a little dismayed that the valet parking was $25/day, but it ended up being worth it. Because of COVID, the food options were limited, but there was fresh coffee and fresh fruit every morning.

We had a difficult next door neighbor in our room who were up all night yelling at each other, then up at 7 the next morning at it again. We called repeatedly to complain, and the front desk sent security up to address the issue. The following day, after they had been at it again and woke us up early, the staff had them removed from the hotel, and moved us to another, nicer room, AND comped us a night. We didn't ask, and they didn't have to do that, but it's small details like that that stand out to me when I'm traveling.

Thanks again to Jennifer and her entire staff at the Hyatt Place Knoxville. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in Knoxville!

We, Jill Stone Studios and The New Hue were commissioned to paint the lobby with Venetian plaster.

Hospitality and professionalism is stellar. The management is great and their renovations and interior designs are always impressive with quality, character, a modern sophistication, and elegance.

The rooms are top quality with high end design. I gifted my daughter and friends with a birthday celebration with a night here and they absolutely loved it. The beds were very comfortable as well.

The pre-made cocktails are terrible. If I am going to pay $12 for a cocktail in Knoxville, I want someone to make it and not pour it from a tap. The view is great but they need more seating and need to get rid of the tap cocktails. Or offer them at a cheaper price since it takes the bartenders 2 seconds to pour them.
