The lady at guest services were the nicest person I ever met. We arrived a bit early but our room was ready to go. Free breakfast with an excellent selection. Close proximity to the beach and hundreds of ABC stores in the surrounding area.

It is definitely not the flashiest hotel in Waikiki but they more than make up for it in other areas.

Got there at 8am after long flight from Sydney Australia, the upgraded us for a small fee and had our room ready straight away. Even allowed us to have free breakfast that morning we arrived.

Rooms are quite spacious for 5 people.

They also give you option to go green which means maid does not do full room daily but just replaces towels and gives you a $10 credit each day to spend on room services or other purchases.

9th floor cozy ocean-view room with King bed in the diamond head tower that is partially obscured by other buildings, 10th floor and above might be better. The breakfast was varied each day and had good selection, better than some other "breakfast included" but not the best. Amenities included were nice and hotel staff were always helpful. Texting service for quick answers was great and very helpful. 3 minute walk to the ocean/beach and short walking distance to a large number of eateries. Recent renovation makes it seem nicer once you are inside. The 3 elevators on the diamond head tower meant very little wait time for the elevator, I heard grumblings about wait times for the other tower. Overall, comfy place to stay but I probably wouldn't opt for the premium for the "ocean-view" room next time.

Small recently remodeled hotel. It has its pros & cons:

Pros:

Recently remodeled, everything is new and clean.

Beds are comfy, there was a sectional couch in my king deluxe room.

FREE WIFI IN YOUR ROOM (huge pro for me)!!!!

TV in room has vga & audio hookups, in case you wanted to hookup a laptop to it and play movies that way (nice touch) Also, free HBO channels.

I had an in-room coffeemaker, small fridge, and small lanai (patio) off my room, with 2 chairs

There is a free hot breakfast downstairs every day with Starbucks coffee.

They aren't out to nickel & dime you for every little thing here, which is nice, and a rarity in Waikiki.

Cons:
Only 2 elevators to serve the whole place - so elevator service is really slow at peak times.

In-room closet is tiny.

No tub, just a (nice) stand up shower.

NOISY. Thin walls. Unfortunately I could hear everything happening in the hallway and every time a neighbor entered or exited their room.

Also, I was on the 7th floor - Lots of street noise from the window. Woke up from sirens going by in the middle of the night.

Free breakfast is absolutely mobbed with people. Probably better if you go early but I never do. The staff does a good job of replenishing food.

Also note, the hotel offers valet parking ($25 a day which is pretty standard), but no self-park parking garage on site.

Overall I'd say this is a good budget option and good for business travelers. If you're a light sleeper, make sure to get a high floor and just bear with the long elevator rides. Or do what I do and bring earplugs :)

Had a unique room. Right by the pool and breakfast area. The room was very nice and spacious, but the lack of privacy with the curtains open was an issue. Also, it would be nice if they had more pork-free breakfast options.

Check in was very quick and easy. The hotel itself is not directly in front of the ocean, but the room was still very nice. The free breakfast on the third floor was not too fancy, but overall enjoyable. Checkout was a breeze as well.

Great location. 1 block from the beach and 1 block from the zoo and aquarium. Dominos pizza by the lobby and an ABC out the front door. Beds were very comfortable and great breakfasts every morning.

This hotel was okay was not really what I expected especially coming from a local from the islands.Kept calling the front desk for some stuffs and they would either forget about my room or just not even care about our service.Bedroom was small though for some reason I am not sure why the room look like it was not vacuum.

The Good: Free Breakfast, free WiFi (speedy too!), nice bed, blankets are good. Easy hook up to TV. Clean, well maintained rooms.

Honestly though, we never got up in time for breakfast and the rooms are a bit "older" than the Hilton a block away. In the future, I'd probably stay at the Hilton instead.

Overnight with one year old child.

Overnight with one year old child.
Breakfast baby food was surpassed by breakfast fruit salad, yogurt, soft bread, miso soup and rice!
The staff were also friendly, and the reception on the first floor warmed the rice to be chinned in the microwave for baby food every day, and the response was good!

We stayed here for 5 days with our little baby . This place was so clean , amazing staff and best thing is their breakfast. It was so fresh and yummy every morning. Rooms were nice and big. House keeping staff always left them nice and clean for us. We will definitely be coming back here. Location is so great. Literally less than 5 mins of walk away from the Waikiki beach. So many great places to eat close by.

Stayed fore 10 nights. Overall pretty good value
Good Points:
-Location is close to beach and amenities
-Service is friendly and always helpful
-Room size was great (Ocean View)
-Free breakfast
Not So Good Points:
-Elevators are slow and require patience
-Silly resort fee of Approx $25 USD per day that is not included in rate
- If weather is windy or rainy the modtly outside breakfast seating is not practicable

Overall I would say reasonable value for money, but do your checks as many similar option around in the area.

This is the second time we stayed at the hotel. It's clean, and at a great location, just a few blocks from Waikiki beach. Staff were friendly, they offer complimentary buffet breakfast for all guests (till this November, then free breakfast will only be offered to ppl who book through Hyatt website)

Staff was courteous and helpful. The room was small but clean and well maintained as I had expected for a Hyatt property. The breakfast was awesome! Lots of fresh fruit as well as hot food choices and drinks from which to choose. All the food we had tasted very fresh.

Location is little far down from the newly renovated parts of Waikiki, but overall it's not a bad spot if you don't mind walking or taking a trolley. The only complaint I could have would be that I don't like that you can't self park.

We left our ipad in one of the room and the whole staff did an awesome job keeping us updated and letting us know if they have it or not. You cant replace that type of customer service. We stayed there for half of our stay in Hawaii and the place is very beautiful, great food, and awesome staff. Thank you

The room is really small, not a lot of space to move around, small bathroom and shower, no place to put toiletry or hang clothes. Before going to bed, we found two cockroaches! One in the fridge cabinet, and other other on the couch! We are completely gross out about it and demanded the hotel to move us to a different room. But who knows other rooms don t have the same problem? Wish we could get our money back for the rest of 4 nights and go somewhere else!

Hotel was great; room was spacious and housekeeping was excellent - they managed to remove all the sand we accidentally tracked in every day. Hotel breakfast was delicious - lots of options and great fresh fruit. Hotel staff were all very friendly, and accommodating through our stay.

Awesome Hyatt location! They serve miso soup for breakfast downstairs. I am a big fan of miso soup so... the beach is directly across the street. The food scene is awesome especially within walking distance of the hotel. Lots of shopping around as well.
