Small recently remodeled hotel. It has its pros & cons:

Pros:

Recently remodeled, everything is new and clean.

Beds are comfy, there was a sectional couch in my king deluxe room.

FREE WIFI IN YOUR ROOM (huge pro for me)!!!!

TV in room has vga & audio hookups, in case you wanted to hookup a laptop to it and play movies that way (nice touch) Also, free HBO channels.

I had an in-room coffeemaker, small fridge, and small lanai (patio) off my room, with 2 chairs

There is a free hot breakfast downstairs every day with Starbucks coffee.

They aren't out to nickel & dime you for every little thing here, which is nice, and a rarity in Waikiki.

Cons:
Only 2 elevators to serve the whole place - so elevator service is really slow at peak times.

In-room closet is tiny.

No tub, just a (nice) stand up shower.

NOISY. Thin walls. Unfortunately I could hear everything happening in the hallway and every time a neighbor entered or exited their room.

Also, I was on the 7th floor - Lots of street noise from the window. Woke up from sirens going by in the middle of the night.

Free breakfast is absolutely mobbed with people. Probably better if you go early but I never do. The staff does a good job of replenishing food.

Also note, the hotel offers valet parking ($25 a day which is pretty standard), but no self-park parking garage on site.

Overall I'd say this is a good budget option and good for business travelers. If you're a light sleeper, make sure to get a high floor and just bear with the long elevator rides. Or do what I do and bring earplugs :)
