At first I felt like royalty shppping here. Great care and service. No pressure to upsell. Great quality items and also some cheaper ones. I was excited for the rug I bought on site and was bringing home.

After waiting quite a while for them to take down the rug and load it into my car, I brought it home. When I unwrapped it, I was shocked to find one edge torn and unraveling! It was not on sale as an as is model, they had not told me about the damage, and they had not inspected it before selling it to me there was no way I could have seen that edge the way it was hanging in the showroom, as it was 8x12 and hanging. When I texted my sales rep, she said I could bring it back, order a new one, and pick it up when it came in. What a hassle! It would have been nice to be offered an as is discount, which should perhaps be standard for any items purchased in the showroom if they cannot guarantee condition. Lesson learned don t drive off without a thorough inspection!

horrible experience. Scott the sales manager is polite but not understanding at all. I have waited 4 months for a sofa I paid in full and was to get in 3 months. The date has been pushed back 3 times and now it is being pushed back again to Jan 31/2016 with no guarantees. I would like a full refund since they did not delver as promised but Scott is not willing to do anything even though they have not held up their end of the deal. So I am out $2400 for 4 months now and will be for another month and to be honest I have not idea for how much longer because according to Scott it could be a week, 6 weeks, even 6 months. He would only say the average is 4 months which I am now at. DO NOT shop at Hurwitz Mintz unless you want a lot of frustration in your life.

I spoke with a lady on week 6 and was told that the bedframe will delay delivery until week 9, because the frame became in demand. At the end of week 8, I spoke with one Mr. Martin who told me that he would have the salesman call me and that the furniture is due on NOV. 20 (WHICH IS A SUNDAY WHEN I RETURNED FROM A CRUISE). Today is Monday of the 11th week and NO PHONE CALL FROM ANYONE THERE!!!! I WILL CALL THEM BUT I WILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN!

This is a GIANT store. The salespeople are there without being intrusive if you want to browse. Our salesperson, Kirk, checked on us a couple of times while we browsed because, literally, they do have concerns about customers getting lost!! We will go back when we need furniture.

Very expensive furniture, be warned, but rightly so, this furniture is made to last the test of time.

Over priced, watch the dollar closely if you finance, charges not aligned. Special order take a while and when it comes in a post card is sent vs a phone call. Sales people don t call you back when you have questions on your order. The positive is the credit group is responsive.

My experience started out great but went downhill fast! Recently bought a new home and was excited to furniture shop . Walked in and was greeted promptly , walked around and found a sofa sectional I liked. I told my salesman I wanted to look at one more place to make sure I was making the right choice. He told me no problem- very easy to call the credit department from phone to place order if I wanted. A couple hours later I decided to order the sofa , called the credit department and very rudely was told she didn t have time to help me!!!!! She was too busy and I needed to call back !!!!! Very disappointed

Please improve your service and check out process. Why does a person need to stop at 3 different places to purchase one thing? And no one is around for question answering. Employees look like they are forced to work.

Buyer beware of guardsman extended warranty they do not stand behind there service. Also I have a couch that has a factory defect and although it s 6 months out of warranty Hurwitz Mintz will give me no assistance. This piece of furniture was built with two pieces of sharp wood under leather that are now making a hole through the leather and they are telling me it s my problem. My salesman Kansas was wonderful and the showroom was wonderful but Customer service after that is not helpful at all. We spent way too much money on this furniture for it to have this problem so soon. I thought extended warranty was good idea on such a large purchase but boy was I wrong. What a shame to lose a customer over such a small repair

We needed a love seat for our business. Hurwitz Mintz has one on sale. We were met by a sales woman who took us to the location of the seat. We paid for it and they loaded it for us. All the people we dealt with were cautious and efficient.

I found the item I was looking for but it was the wrong color.

I came to Hurwitz Furniture looking for a leather Chesterfield Sofa. Today, I can say I LOUDLY echo every review that says this business racially profiles. While I was in the store not one associate asked could they help or assist me in anyway. They simply took one look at me and assumed I could not afford their overpriced furniture.
I noted how EVERY caucasian that walked through the store was met with a hello and a " How can I assist you." I was met with a lackadaisical "hi" by the lady sitting at the front desk.
While their showroom is impressive, Hurwitz Mintz lacks proper customer service and class. To every person of color who decides to shop here, be aware of how you treated. You work hard for your money and you should respected whether you are black, brown or white.
After the experience I choose to buy online, for a fraction of the price at "HUriwitZ MiNtZ".

Very clean and well maintained showrooms with top quality merchandise and great prices! Staff was exceptional and very professional. I personally was assisted by Ms. Julie Buras and I highly recommend her to help aid I. Your shopping experience. I will be returning in the future for all my furniture needs.

I've always had a great experience with Hurwitz Mintz. until.... Im waited to see if they will make things right on a 5 month order I've yet to receive (July) I will update my review next week when I hear from the manager. My sales associate Rebecca gave me wrong information several times that our furniture would be delivered even with a ship date that was cancelled twice. We have been very patient since July and now its November and are being told December now, which I'm not going to believe this any longer . 6 months waiting on furniture is ludicrous

We haven t received our furniture yet, so I can t testify to it s quality. My issue was the salesman. He was shady, he told us certain surfaces were 100% oak when I can tell by knocking on it that it is resin or fiberglass. He insists that the prices were 50% off for Labor Day and it was an amazing deal. I m willing to bet if I go back there today, the price did not double, especially considering that behind the sale tag, in the little plastic sleeve, were 3 other tags showing various prices for the furniture, none of which were the full price. We only bought here because we could not find the color leather we wanted any where else in our area.

If you want over-priced furniture that is poor quality, you have found the store of your dreams! Otherwise, do yourself a favor and skip this. We purchased multiple pieces that essentially fell apart within a short period of time. One of the pieces was defective from the start. There are far better options with better prices and quality furniture. Also, don t let the sales fool you, 1/2 price at this store is still no deal.

The furniture is great at this place however customer service was horrible. We waited over an hour for our original salesman (Adam). Then once we got passed to someone new (Thomas) he was not helpful at all. I felt it was a hassle for him to assist me and made me feel stupid for asking questions. It s a shame when you are going to make a big purchase someone like that couldn t be more helpful. If I didn t really want the furniture that I bought I would have walked out over how rude he was to me and how LONG I had to wait to get assistance.

We were looking for a very specific sectional couch and had gone to 5 stores previously and were about to settle when we decided to go to Hurwitz Mintz. Though it might be out of our price range but to our surprise we found the perfect couch at a fantastic price! We also got to custom select the shape, fabric, and arm styles! Thankful we didn't settle!

Went in there for a sofa with a vague idea of what I was looking for. Shelley was awesome and showed me many options til I found exactly what I wanted. I m very happy with my purchase and the time she took with me. Thanks!

My sales associate was a pleasure to deal with. Her name is Janice Russell. I told her what I was looking for which she didn t have but she took it to another level and brought me to another showroom and there was my chair. Different from what I had in mind but I love it. She also knows hot to up sell. So I wound up buying 3 pieces instead of one and then bought a beautiful comforter set. Kuddos to Janice.

I purchased a custom chair. They delivered the chair with the correct fabric, but it was the wrong chair. They were going to put it back on the truck when I stopped them and demanded a temporary replacement. I was told it would take another six weeks to receive the proper chair. I asked to receive some kind of compensation; they gave me nothing.

So much to see. So many options for all types of furniture. Wear comfy shoes. It's a 132,000 sq ft warehouse

This is where to go for furniture in the New Orleans metro area! My wife and I tried multiple furniture stores prior to hitting Hurwitz-Mintz, that was a huge mistake on our part. The staff here was the most knowledgeable we encountered while being the least pushy . Mr. Gary was great to work with. We told him roughly what we were looking for and he walked us around showing us our options. Once we narrowed the field, he left my wife and I alone to make a decision. From in the door to leaving with a new living room suite was less than two hours and I have zero buyers remorse. Highly recommend

My husband and I needed to decorate a small living room space in New Orleans. When we entered the furniture store we were greeted by Rebecca and after a brief interchange of what we were looking for, Rebecca set out to show us the store! What a quality experience. Beautiful furniture and great design opportunities with selections covering a variety of tastes. We chose NOLA flare with quality as the backdrop. Rebecca followed us from greeting to seeing us drive away as happy customers. We will return for sure !

I will NEVER purchase anything from Hurwitz Mintz again. I spent more than $7,000 for and adjustable bed and they delivered a unit that didn't work. I bought the bed because of a back injury. Instead of taking the platform half that didn't work (2 twins = king) and bringing another, they left the one that didn't work. The bed was not fully assembled. I waited a week for a part to be delivered and then was rudely spoken to by their customer service and warehouse staff. A third party was sent out to replace the bad part. And that is all he did. Now I can't get HM to come back and finish the assembly. Never again will I spend my money there.
