The salesman was wonderful. I realize that furniture is on backorder in many places. He checked to see that my piece would be at the store October 19. And wrote it on his card to give me assurance. I only hope that this is true. I would be crushed if they took my money and do not deliver. I wish they would sell me the floor model!

I arrived to the store just to "look around' and was greeted and taken throughout the entire inventory by Michael. Although we told him we were still shopping around, he took his time showing us around the store making sure all of our questions were answered. A few weeks later we decided to go back to the store and find Michael to make our purchase. He remembered all of the details of our visit and even remembered some of the favorites we had chosen. He was great to work with and I will continue to shop at Hurwitz Mintz because of the product and service..

She was extremely helpful in making the purchase. I will definitely be going back to use her for the next pieces I will be purchasing

I bought a sectional from Hurwitz Mintz a 1 and 1/...

I bought a sectional from Hurwitz Mintz a 1 and 1/2 yr ago. One the of the sectionals is dry rotting. I spoke to the operator and she said well we can't tell how long furniture material will last, so I asked to speak to the manager. I spoke to Dwayne the manager with the bad attitude said oh well a 1 yr warranty that is it. I told him I could have went to Walmart and they would have taken it back to replace! He said he can give me a number to a upholstery for repairs! Maybe Hurwitz Mintz and this upholstery place is in cahoots! Apparently reading the comments, I am not the only one this happened to. Hurwitz Mintz is either selling used furniture or damaged furniture for quality furniture prices. So disappointed! It is not even worth 1 star! Check out Yelp comments, I am not the only one this has happened to

Very clean showroom. Worked with Jerry romano and he was very knowledgeable and helpful. Lost a star because they have a promotion to take 100 dollars off order of 1000 or more. If we didn't ask at the sale counter they were not going to automatically give us the discount which I felt is unfair. Make sure you are aware of possible discounts and ask at the sales desk before paying.

The most unprofessional management people I have ever seen. I bought a buffet and 2 pieces of art from this store, when it was delivered a few weeks later, the picture that I had planned to put over my mantle was damaged. The frame had a chip on one corner, on the other corner there was a large chunk out of the frame, and in another part of the frame was something black. The delivery man took pictures and asked me if I wanted him to take it back, but I was having a Christmas party and wanted to keep it. Talked to someone in customer service she said she would send someone out in 3 weeks to fix it. When he finally came he said it could not be fixed. I called the store asked to speak to store manager she said he would call me back that day which he did not. I called back a few days later same person said someone else would call me back that day. Did not. That was days ago. These people at Hurwitz and Mintz don't care about their customers. I think I deserve to get a discount on this piece of damaged art. They should have seen the damage before it left store. I would never recommended this store to anyone. They do not stand behind their merchandise. The store management could care less about you and does not return your calls. So stay far away from this store !!!!

One of the best furniture buying experiences. The show room is massive and has something for everyone. The sales associate Kansas was very friendly and knew every square inch of the showroom. We went for 2 accent chairs and fell in love with an entire different living room set

Delivery damaged my new couch, but then wanted to ...

Delivery damaged my new couch, but then wanted to blame the warehouse. They then wanted to arrange the repair team to come fix it. I refused saying that I'm not going to have my new couch repaired. I was then assured it would be replaced. They wouldn't take the time to resolve the issue right then by getting a supervisor on the phone to tell me the availability of a new couch and expected delivery. Instead they rushed out, saying they notified their manager. They said I should call my sales agent for them to assist in arranging re-delivery. My sales agent wasn't in. Whoever answered the phone then refused to put me in touch with a manger, saying that I should go through customer service. Customer service said they aren't who I need to talk to and put me on hold in the middle of me talking. They then came back on and said they were connecting me to the delivery manager. The delivery manager did not answer the phone and hasn't called me back hours later. What horrible delivery service (and with a charge of $150), and the customer service is absolutely horrible. Sales agent Don said their excellent service and quality was the reason to buy from them instead of competitors. Mistakes happen, but this was handled very badly on so many levels.

When we ordered and paid in full for our new master bed, mattress, and box spring on April 16th, we were it would take 2 weeks to for Hurwitz Mintz to receive our furniture and they would call to schedule a delivery. I never heard from anyone, so I called on April 29th and I was told now my furniture wasn't even shipping to HM for another week and that the shipping company takes a long time. After still not hearing from anyone for almost another 2 weeks, today I'm informed that my furniture has still not shipped to HM and won't be arriving until the end of May. No one has attempted to contact me to explain the delay, apologize, or offer any sort of compensation. Let's not even mention since I living the Luling area, HM only comes once a month to make deliveries. So I could potentially be another 6+ weeks without my fully paid for bedroom set. I'm very disappointed in the customer service and the lying of the salesman. Terrible experience and this will be my last purchase with Hurwitz Mintz.

Update: At the end of the May I received a post card in the mail (while we had been on vacation, none the less) that my furniture had arrived and that I should call to schedule my delivery. That has to be the biggest joke ever, although I shouldn't be surprised since no one could lift a phone receiver up to ever call me back or respond to my compliant via email - why would anyone call to tell me my furniture arrived? Guess they assumed since they had my money, customer service no longer applied. My furniture was finally delivered on June 10th and this was the only positive experience about this purchase. The two gentleman that made the delivery called on their way so I could meet them from work. Set up everything quickly and professionally. Maybe they should be the ones handling sales too.

Do not believe everything the sales person tells you. do your homework shop a round.
The sales person is doing his job well. He or she telling you anything and everything with the help of the management team to make a sale. Always ask....... don't be shy.
Important take the write person to help you shop their. It makes a different.

Poor on behalf of one Sales Rep. Who was extremely rude and unhelpful. She left us unattended and said she was going to sit down. We could not find her and saught out another sales rep who was very helpful. My wife walked the entire warehouse looking for our original sales rep. While I stayed with the sectional sofa. Our sales rep. could not be found. I then went to pay for the sectional sofa while my wife and the sales rep went upstairs to look for an ottaman. Silvia saw me sitting and said in a curtly way that she was looking all over the store for us when she knew she left us in the warehouse. She asked if we found something and I told her we already purchased what we were looking for. She then got aggrevated and walked off. She wanted to know who helped us and if he tried to find her. I told her that we were looking for her and we could not find her. She then was very curt and turned and left. On the way out of the store she would not make contact us with when we were walking past her in the hallway. She looked down to the floor to purposely ignore us. She could have said at least...thank you for shopping at Hurwitz Mints and I am glad that you could find what you were looking for. She poorly represented your company and it would have been a horrible experience if not for the gentleman who kindly helped us. The sales rep who kindly helped us was Joe Sander. I give the experience a three due to Joe's professional behavior, knowledge and helpfulness.

Side note: there was also a gentleman in the back warehouse who was doing repairs that saw us and without being solicited, told us that the sofa was a quality sofa with a great deal. He took the time out to explain to us that the pillows were not tied down and that the material could be washed. He also showed us the quality of the springs and told us that we could replace the foam if it would happen to break down over years of use. He is a true employee of the compnay as he did not have to take his time to help us. I wish I knew his name.

From the day I walked in Hurwitz Mintz I felt very pleased with the level of customer service I received from the sales person Michael Everett. He made sure that I got everything that I wanted in each room. Never rushed the sale at all. Made me feel very happy to be spending the amount of money I spent there. I will shop there for life. The quality of their product is very very top notch. And as for Ms. Amy in financing customer service is amazing as well. She definitely made sure that the monthly payment was in my budget. This is exactly what you call a Disney experience . Magical customer service money well spent

I bought a sofa from here. I thought I purchased a leather sofa. It was on sale and was very excited. I loved it! I purchased the extended warranty. It literally peeled after only a year. I spoke to the representative, sent pictures to no resolve. The warranty I purchased didn't cover peeling. I was offered a 30% discount towards a new purchase. I WILL NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN! If I could give it no stars, I would. Now on the hunt for a new sofa. Disappointed is an understatement.

My experience at Hurwitz Mintz furniture store on Airline Hwy looking for and ultimately ordering a sofa, chair and rug was fun. I had called before I went, just to make sure they carried or could order the sofa style that was of interest to me. I spoke with one of their sales consultants, Todd Helmus, who assured me they had what I was looking for. I got there and Todd showed me just what I wanted. I special ordered the sofa and chair in the fabric, color and design I wanted ( they had an enormous selection of fabric, colors and designs from which to choose). After much back and forth with Todd, who has a good eye for design, I eventually chose what I wanted. Then, I looked at and chose a beautiful rug. It is going to take 6-8 weeks before I receive everything, which is fine. I highly recommend asking for Todd Helmus to assist you when you go to Hurwitz Mintz. The store itself is lovely. Thank you Todd and Hurwitz Mintz for a fun experience!!!

Great store! Got a great bed!!!! Great price! Some day pick! Delivery option is also avaliable. Having my first son, needed a king size bed. Shopped at four furniture stores and couldn't find what I was looking for. I would suggest trying this place first if you're shopping for a new bed, sofa, sectional, rug. Get the bed for a great price!!!!

I bought a leather chase lounge but it turns out that this is very poor quality. The leather or covering is peeling off. It is a very thin layer. I have seen quality leather chairs last for years and actually get more comfortable after being broken in. However, this is not the case. Very disappointing. Won t shop here again.

I purchased a King size Firm mattress that started...

I purchased a King size Firm mattress that started to develop huge lumps in the middle. Sleeping on this mattress was nightmarish. I contacted the store and explained the situation and a Representative
was sent to review the circumstances. Upon finding a small stain that I missed seeing when the mattress was delivered, the store denied replacing it. In other words, the warranty was void. Now mind you, I have
shopped at this store on numerous occasions. I have spent a great deal of money in the past. Trust me, I will NEVER patronize this store again!! It is a sin and a shame that companies like this look for ways to keep from honoring their warranties.

In deference to my dog, I special ordered a J. Henry sofa in a stainproof, color-fast Revolution Performance fabric, and was told it might take 6-8 weeks to come in. It was reasonably priced, arrived in 4 weeks and was delivered in perfect condition. I am delighted!

Gary Maggie met us at the door. We were in the market for a new mattress, and he turned out to be a real expert in this area. He showed us several that were appropriate for us, and allowed us plenty of time to try them out all the while talking about mattresses, his and my back trouble, and his and our dogs to the point of sharing photos of our dear animals. We narrowed to two mattresses and spent more time trying them back and forth. He went to check availability and gave us plenty of time. We finally made our choice and he very efficiently completed the deal, arranged delivery without wasting time so that my wife was not late for bridge. We enjoyed him and the experience!

The clerk did not give clear directions to customer pickup. He did invite me to sit on a very comfortable chair while I waited. Service was fast. At customer pickup a man delivered my mattress pad to me in my car.

She listened to my needs (have an almost toddler and would need things that are comfy but stainproof). I'm extremely thrilled with the items she helped me select!
