Got a phone call from someone there, chatted for a bit regarding my experiences and what I was looking for said they would be in touch.... Never got in touch. If I had rely on them to get a job, I would be homeless and jobless. Does not communicate back.

My experience working with Hunt Personnel has been absolutely rewarding. Peggy and her team are dedicated, knowledgeable and have shown a genuine interest in assisting people in their individual career needs. Truly exemplary and true professionals!

Finding a job in Vancouver is not as easy as it seems. After a brutal 7 weeks of endless craigslist ads and interviews that went nowhere I came across Hunt Personnel.

I have to admit I was skeptical at first, as I think I had already been to 4 other (of their competing)recruiters that seemed very eager to get me in their system, but then quickly forgot about me and got nothing out of it.

Peggy and her team of recruiting assistants, Amy, Jessica, Carly and Kristel were all amazing from the moment I walked in the door. They recognized that I had plenty of skills and experience and really made me feel like they actually cared about my situation. My name was put forward for a role before I even walked out of the door, and within 4 days I had been to 2 interviews and picked up my current position at a great company.

I would recommend this company to anyone in a similar situation. Especially those who are frustrated with other recruiters that seem to have forgotten about you. They are very professional, efficient and they actually care.

Hunts Personnel were extremely efficient placing me in a Temp position. I applied online and they contacted me straightaway and within a few days I was placed in employment. The staff are extremely friendly, especially Oliva who completed a short interview with me, followed by a few tests on typing and spelling. I would absolutely recommend using Hunt Personnel for anyone looking for employment.

If you say you're going to phone someone back and will try to quickly get them in for an interview, do it!

It's totally disrespectful to just cut off contact like nothing, when you've already stated that you will be getting back shortly. Even if you changed your mind and decided that someone wasn't suitable, or if another applicant was chosen instead, at least have the courtesy to phone back or send an email with an update about what's happening.

Going from 'We'll try to get you in for an interview tomorrow; I'll phone you back tonight' to silence shows no respect for the applicant.

I was placed quickly in a full-time permanent position while working with Hunt. They were very efficient and passionate about placing me in a position that suited my qualifications and qualities.

They are a complete waste of your time. You're better off applying on Craigslist. I have worked with other agencies that are much better in terms of communication and job offers. I understand, there may not be jobs available but you can at least keep in touch with applicants who took the time to come into your office, took the numerous assessments, applied to your job postings on your website and had conversations with you about what they were looking for in terms of job opportunities. Thank goodness I was not counting on them on finding me a position.

Tip: Keep in touch with people to at least pretend you care. And also, whoever your receptionist is is rude and dismissive, do better.

I have had nothing but excellent experiences with Hunt Personnel. I originally sought them out for temporary work when I was having difficulty finding a summer job, but I had such a consistent flow of work from them that I ended up working almost full-time for the entire summer. I gained experience working for a multitude of high-profile companies that I would not have had the opportunity to work for ordinarily. I made a lot of valuable connections and friends as well.

The best part about working for Hunt has been the flexibility. They always worked around my school schedule without complaint, and I never felt pressured to take a job I didn't want. My final temporary job with them ended with me being hired permanently, and I absolutely love my job! Being able to work for a company temporarily initially allowed me to get a sense of the workload and duties before committing to it permanently.

I called to find out if I could sign up with this temping agency and asking asked what market is like in order to be told by the person that answered that she "couldn't be able to tell you" (me) and to check out the website and apply. Pretty shoddy customer service and did not sound interested in taking on new personnel. Isn't the purpose of an agency to ask to send in resume and interview the potential new staff? I'd give ZERO stars but can't post without rating it - I suppose they at least picked up the phone.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Hunt Personnel helped place me in a fantastic legal role. I met with Niamh, Peggy and Kristel for brief interviews and was then prepped to interview with the company. After each interview, I received a follow-up e-mail or call to see how it went, and what to prepare for going forward. Hunt did a fantastic job matching me with an amazing company! Additionally, Hunt understood my attachment to my previous position and went out of their way to support a smooth transition between the jobs - including recommending a great candidate for the prior role! I am beyond pleased with my experience with Hunt Personnel!

I sent in my resume to Hunt Personnel and a few other Vancouver temp agencies on a Friday. The following Tuesday, I got a call from Pat - she had looked at my resume and noticed some skills that, while they weren't really necessary for the position that I'd originally applied for, made me an excellent fit for a higher-paying position that hadn't yet been posted AND happened to be very relevant to my personal interests as well. I interviewed for the higher-paying position over the phone on Tuesday afternoon, came in to Hunt on Wednesday to follow up with them and do testing and paperwork, and started my new full-time job on Thursday, less than six days since I'd originally sent in my resume. By the end of the first week, my manager was already asking about whether I might be interested in a permanent role.

Of the other temp agencies, one did eventually email me. None called.

Your mileage may vary, of course, but I have a hard time imagining how my experience could have been better. Perhaps if there had been free cookies.

Looking for the right career fit is not always easy, especially in the Lower Mainland. I had been approached by about 5 agencies before applying for a position posted on the Hunt Personnel website. I had been told from one other agency that I shouldn't expect results for at least 6 months and that I needed to call them back weekly to remain relevant. I was discouraged. I received a call from Amy to set up an appointment within a day or two of applying to the posting. From the moment I walked into the interview that day, my optimism returned. I was greeted by Valerie who was very friendly and welcoming. I was then interviewed by Amy followed by Kristel. I left Hunt that day feeling very good. I felt the team was truly interested in helping me find the "right" fit and not just a job to hold me over until something else came up. At first I wasn't sure if I wanted to do Temp work as I was hoping for a full-time permanent job - but in this market you have to be open to possibilities. I was contacted by Marni who arranged for a temp position with a company. It was a 2 week contract that I am pleased to say has turned into a full time job. I am enjoying my job and really like my co-workers. I appreciate the time this team which also includes Carly, Peggy and Jessica dedicated to helping me find a wonderful match. I would also like to add that any concerns I had regarding the process or a job posting were followed up promptly either via email or a telephone call which I appreciated as well.
Obviously the end result of a successful pairing is what most clients want - but I will say my experience with the team that worked with me stands out the most.

Follow-up failure: A revision to my first review.

While Hunt was quick to find me a placement that suited my skills, the work culture was not a great fit and the company decided not to keep me after two months. Hunt did absolutely zero follow up with me about this, and the senior recruiter who placed me has ignored my two attempts to contact her.

This gives me the distinct feeling that Hunt values the clients who pay the bills more than the people who are the actual resource they re selling.

Seriously the team at hunt has been the most personal and professional. Lots of updates from beginning to end!

There are a few recruitment agencies that I applied to within Vancouver, but Hunt Personnel was the most prompt with their response and helped me find a fantastic full-time permanent position in the location that I was seeking. After having my initial interview, I was put forward for a job straight away and was told that if anything even more suitable came along then I'd be put forward for that instead. Hunt Personnel has done more for me in one month, than I was able to do in the previous twelve months of searching for employment. They are professional, caring, and stay in contact.

Not only did they get me two interviews with two companies in a matter of days from signing up with them, they also were the main reason the second company looked closer at me beyond the resume. I'm happy to say I start full-time employment with that company on Wednesday after a year of unemployment and daily searching.

In addition to this, while I was waiting for feedback and confirmation on the new job, they provided me the opportunity take on temporary positions to fill that gap.

I think anyone who has admin skills looking for work would be well served with Hunt Personel.

On a side note, back in December 2006, they were also instrumental in providing me with new employment in the Lower Mainland even though I was living in central BC at the time. I worked with them in planning interviews, and eventually ended up relocating with a new job in Richmond BC January 2007.

I recently applied for a position that Hunt Personnel was working to fill for one of their clients and right from the beginning I was impressed by their professionalism. When I decided to leave my job at the beginning of the year, I knew the key to my success would be to find the right agency to assist me in my search. I have had a few experiences with other recruitment agencies in Vancouver where you feel ignored but Hunt Personnel is different and would make you feel and treat you as important as the client on the other side of the table.

From our very first meeting, I felt confident that their team honestly had the best intentions in mind, I had an interview with three different members of the team which I think is great so they together can give their own different impressions and opinions, they listened to my goals and what I was looking for in a company and what I was able to provide.

Everyone in the company was very nice and helpful since the beginning, they accommodated to my schedule since I just had little time at my lunch break. They always replied my emails and responded every single time when I asked questions about positions and suggestions, even calling and emailing me wishing me good luck at my interview. Now because of Hunt Personnel, I just landed in an amazing company, I am so grateful and I cannot thank them enough. I highly recommend to everyone Hunt Personnel.

Unfortunately I did not seem to have the same luck as the other reviewers. I went in for a meeting with a junior and senior recruiter, as well as the owner of the company. The process felt very thorough and assessed what I was looking for, but they did not seem to be interested in helping me find a position after my initial meeting even though they told me directly I was well-qualified for particular roles I was looking for. I contacted one of the recruiters for a couple positions they listed, but I never heard back. The only time I heard from them was likely two months after my finish initial meeting, when I had already found a job myself! Perhaps I should've been more aggressive in getting them to help me, though I don't appreciate them essentially ghosting me after our first meeting. Personally, I feel my time was wasted. I would've appreciated them letting me know they couldn't help me so I could've gone to another recruiter who could've.

After so many months searching a job on my own, Hunt Personnel Temporarily Yours was able to find me some solid leads. They always follow-up and eventually landed me a job that matches my previous work experience. I highly recommend this recruitment firm!
