I was not expecting how artistic it would look in person. The whole atmosphere adds to the house as a whole. Hills in front, mosaics around the wall. There is also art on the inner part as well which is nice that it follows through. But, It is in need of a paint job. There is also an inside area that is very lovely and full of gift shops. Pricey, but it is worth it to go and see. There is also a london phone booth on the corner.

You can t enter the house because people live inside. But it is an interesting building with funny architecture. There is also a cafe in the building where you can sit and enjoy the building.
Its one building only, however its architecture is a must see. In front of the building, the Hundertwasser village is located with lots of souvenir and gift shops and its interior is also kept in the same design. If you are visiting Prater, then have also a quick visit here.
It's a nice house and looks pretty in the surrounding area, but that's only because it stands out in the traditional building architecture. But a neighborhood of houses like this won't be pretty.
A cute village and a building with an unique architecture. Put it on your to do list. You can rest there on the benches and check out the little shops of souvenirs inside. Easy to reach the location
The Hundertwasser House an unique apartment house is located close to a tram station ten mintes from the city centre. Colorful wavy walls and floors, the roof is covered with earth, the windows grow trees. It can be beautiful in summer while everything is green. The house has apartments, offices and many many interesting terraces. There are many benches, fountain the area is stunning. I would like visit it at summer too. Do not miss it!
Weird quirky building designed by Friedensreich Hundertwasser. Go in the morning when there are less crowds, more of a pit stop area for taking pictures. Walk around it and move on to another location. There s another building thats around 10mins walk, designed by the same artist with way less people.
This was the best and cheapest place for me to get postcards from all over Vienna. So different to all other Viennese architecture, this was a breath of fresh air. The museum has a cafe and and all kinds of smal shops to buy gifts and souvenirs that are suitably priced.
Very touristy place, but safe :) the building is colourful and interesting. Just in front of it there is a Christmas village, heated inside, but very pricey.
Hundertwasserhaus is one of the Vienna's top 10 modern-days attractions! But even though I visited it at the beginning of December, the place was still packed of tourists eager to walk across the curvy stairs or floors So PAY attention while trying to take a selfie or you might simply fell down (and make a foul of yourself )
I still don't see what all the hype is but it's always packed with tourists. I've added it as a stop for visiting friends and family and they too seem to enjoy it.
It's an amazing place to visit and unique to Vienna. It's so different from the rest of the city and reminds me of Barcelona. Definitely to be seen during green seasons, as it looks truly amazing with all the trees around it. There's a big souvenir shop and an awesome looking cafe so you have choices on activities or just stay a bit and admire the scenery.
Very pretty house. Very different of all horrible square buildings, as the whole idea is that. I just wish to be more buildings like this to visit and see.
Cool place a bit away from city center. Interesting structure of the building, colorful and unique. There is also Hundertwasser Village - souvenir shopping, coffe shop etc. Worth it to see - its free :)
This is a very unique place in Vienna (Probably in the world). Some people says it look similar like some properties at Park Guell, Barcelona, Spain. However, I find that this is a special place and is a MUST visit in Vienna. Beautiful colourful apartment and a very nature residential area.
Cute place to visit, although the shop are very touristy. Its hard to get a good overall view of the building, but the eclectic architecture is worth seeing!
It's very beautiful and they maintain the place very well. However the prices are very high for everything which often isn't too appealing for tourists.
Crowded but still impressive and beautiful. you can't go inside though. Had seen most of it after 20mins. Make sure to checkout the actual Art Gallery with the permanent Hundertwasser Exhibition.
The Hundertwasserhaus is an apartment house in Vienna, Austria, built after the idea and concept of Austrian artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser with architect Joseph Krawina as a co-creator, is now also one of Vienna's most visited buildings and has become part of Austria's cultural heritage.
This place is rated amongst the top tourist attractions in Vienna, Austria. The building was amazingly beautiful and colorful. Just opposite the building is the Hundertwasser Village which showcases different varieties of things. There are also options to eat inside the village. A must visit place in Vienna.
It's a fancy house, that's it. I'm sure someone who appreciates interesting architecture more than me likes it better but I'm not sure it was worth the walk.
This is an incredible place... magical I can define. This apartment building complex was named after the architect who projected and built it in 1986, at Landstrasse neighborhood in Vienna. You can admire it from the street and the groundfloor on the inside, just remember there are people living inside it who deserve some privacy. Across the street from it there is a small shopping complex, also projected by Hundertwasser where you can find souvenirs, drink or eat something.
I didn't go inside but from the outside can be very appreciated too. It stands out from the rest adjacent buildings' style so typical of Vienna. It is worth a visit only for the contrast.
Love the uniqe Feature of this Architecture Design. With plenty of stores inside to buy stuffs for Souvenirs. You gonna Love this place and a VISIT is worth it. In summer are Lots of Visitors in here. You can Park your vehicle on the Streets. Saturday, sunday and holidays are free parking except those Marked for emergency vehicles or for the disabled one. Enjoy!
This place is pretty cool, I love how the buildings look during the fall/autumn season with the falling and orange leaves. Definitely worth a visit, although it can get quite crowded
Saw only in magazines and internet until now. Great and original architecture, same as austrian peoples. Colors were a bit shady, not just like in magazines...
It s an architecturally interesting spot to checkout. It s got a Gaudi sort of thing going for it. The place is a bit out of the way from major landmarks but if you ve got the time then definitely visit it.
Nice place to stay! Stayed there for 3 nights with my wife - we enjoyed walking around and being there. A little to far to city center - but equal prices
The way how the flat was designed is so unique, love the bold colour! Inside is just as ordinary as any other flats I guess. There is also a village next to it for tourists. Great imagination.
One of the most popular tourist spots in Vienna. Worth the short walk from the city centre to see this unique building which is literally a piece of art. A free place to visit so you don t really have any excuse for wondering by.
Free to visit and check the artistic arquitecture. It is nice to take a few Picts, have a drink in the pub or just stand for a few minutes and see the tourists snapping some photos of this alternative designer building.
An extremely interesting architectural solution to build a house. The facade is beautiful and very attractive for its bright colors and unusual method of stacking the mosaic. Undoubtedly, this is an interesting house which successfully breaks the monotony of the surrounding buildings. A playful Hundertwasser is one of the symbols of Vienna, just as Gaudi symbolizes Barcelona. Friedensreich Hundertwasser was originally not concerned with architecture, but already during the fifties has expressed a desire for better incorporating buildings into the environment. And so it came up with the idea to build a building in unusual shapes with curved lines. With the help of architect Peter Pelikan was built in the city quarter Landstrasse beautiful building that is now called the Hundertwasserhaus. Today Hundertwasser's house is a very popular attraction, although it is somewhat isolated from other Viennese sights. Interesting and beautiful.
Though we cannot enter the house, it's still eye opening and eye pleasing to just stay outside and stare at it from different angles. You can easily spend an hour or so taking pictures of this colorful house and visiting the souvenir shops in its vicinity.
One can view the structural view from outside only. Visitors not allowed to go inside the structure as people live there. Another place to visit on tourists list when in Vienna. This structure is allowed to grow tall trees on its roof-top. Depicts ecology sense of 1940-50 era. Place well connected with public transport system of the city. And as usual, its ground floor has been infected with commercial establishments of modern time.
One of the most amazing buildings I have ever seen shouldn t be missed Take the time to have coffee or a drink in one of the cafes in the street next to it so you ca really appreciate the archichtetura
This attraction is not accessible by the public. The houses are all private and no entry is permitted. You can get pictures from outside and in the near by stores.
If you are pressed for time this is one you can skip.
