I was informed that it was a women's shelter and they welcomed donations geared to women. Very disappointed that my good friend went out of her way to collect good quality clothing, only to be told it wasn't wanted so she put the hundred of dollars worth of clothing in a United Way box.

Depends on staff dealt with-some were abrasive,. Judgemental while others quite the opposite...friendly, helpful and accommodating especially to knew parents. Greater full for them being there. Feel service priorities and those available are exaggerated. Safety issues are a concern. The grounds were not always maintained in winter months, makes had for strollers...seemed a no brainier!
Transiting out was not done as described upon admittance. Support in needed areas was lacking. I'm a father, but mother was there and gave me the scoop... Housing support n direction for those new to city was hard to get help with. I was safe over Ll. Programming for independent living skills with new child seem lacking.
