Usually really like this place but their waitlist situation is horrendous. I put my name on the list and was told it would be 30 min or less. It s now been 4 hours and I just never received a text from them.

We went for my fiance's birthday and really enjoyed the food and drinks. We had the clam chowder which was so SO good, but it honestly deserves a bigger bowl. The mussels were delicious, and I couldn't stop sipping on the broth. We also had a Manhattan and that was awesome. Only drawbacks were that I didn't feel like our waitress was very friendly and the decor/seating didn't feel as cozy as I'd hoped for. But - we'll be back!

Loved this trendy restaurant. The food was delicious and though they messed up one order, they fixed it quickly and took it off the bill. Parking is tight in this area, both residential and businesses close by, but they do have valet parking if needed.

Dinner here was for a very special occasion and they did not disappoint! They easily accommodated the ten person group and provided what we consider to the the best waitperson in the joint. She provided top notch service by answering many questions, seeing our food was served quickly, and drinks were continually full throughout the evening. They met the special requests made of them for the occasion without issue and helped ensure the evening was a special memory. The food was awesome and something never to be forgotten!

The food was excellent, the service average. When we arrived despite there being ample open tables we were placed next to the bathrooms and kitchen. I'm sorry, but when I'm paying close to $100/person for a meal, I don't really want to be staring at the doors to the toilets. I continue to be amazed that high-end restaurants will do this when other tables are available. I used to wait tables so I get that everyone has a station and you want to balance the load but come on. Those tables by the toilet shouldn't even be there! So I asked to be moved. They complied, of course, but our waitress seemed unhappy about it. It appeared that rather than having our original wait-person serve us, they had the waitress who's station we moved to serve us, and she appeared to be quite busy, so my guess is that she was not happy about the extra table. While there was nothing overtly rude in her behavior, we did not get the level of service I would expect from a high-end restaurant.

The service was spectacular. The salads were good and the mimosas were ever flowing. Our brussel sprouts were definitely tooo salty but it might've just been an off day for that dish. It was one of my friends' birthday so they gave her a complimentary chocolate cake and it was delicious!

Oysters for breakfast! This place has a bomb brunch! Wandered in on a Sunday morning after a night of dancing and were pleasantly surprised with the freshest oysters I've eaten away from the coast. Paired with mimosas and fried green tomatoes on the patio started a luxurious mid morning meal. All 4 of us were delighted. The omelette is spot on, avocado toast decadent, and the Benedict special well executed. Service was exceptional! Looking forward to a repeat the next trip to Denver.

Absolutely brilliant! The chicken main course was the best chicken dish I have ever had. Ever. In my entire life. Wow!
Edit: Returned the next week and my favorites were on the Happy Hour menu! Crispy broccoli and the chicken entree. Nice!

Appetizers are decent and the desserts are great. In general, the entrees are good, highlighted by an amazing burger. If the rest of the food would come to the quality of he burger, the prices would seem more reasonable.

Two experiences and both were phenomenal! The ambience, food, drinks and service are all top notch. They have a flare for elevating otherwise typical dishes and making them taste brand new. Highly recommend!!

Overall we were very happy! The cocktails were delicious, and for food we tried the grilled octopus app, the prime filet, and the cioppino (fish stew). The cioppino was a little disappointing, the scallops tasted very fish-y and we weren't blown away with any of that dish honest. The prime filet on the other hand was dreamlike! As was the grilled octopus appetizer. Great spot for a fancy date or special night out.

We really enjoyed the decor and atmosphere. Most of the food was great; the Brussels sprouts were amazing, the pan roasted salmon and the fried calamari were awesome and the clam chowder was a little lack luster. It was good and I did enjoy eating it but it just wasn t at the same level as the rest of our food. Will definitely be back

Denver Restaurant week brought us in to experience a wonderful dining experience. The wine list was substantial and the cocktail menu was fun and eclectic. The fried broccoli appetizer was a tasty spin on a normally less notable cruciferous vegetable. For our entrees we chose the salmon and steak Diane which were both delicious. Our server, Rochelle, provided attentive and friendly service on a super busy evening. This restaurant is a must for anyone dining on 17th Street!

Horrible service, bland food, and exclusive style pricing.... I had been looking forward to trying Humboldt's Brunch but considering my recent experience of incorrect orders, cold food, poor service, arrogant management and learning our waiter was serving food while very ill with the flu; I will NEVER donate my money to this dreadful cause!

I visited this restaurant last night on the recommendation of a close friend, took a friend from Wisconsin here for dinner. The food was delicious and reasonably priced for the area. Restaurant is beautifully decorated and service was excellent. We went on a Wednesday around 6:15 pm and thankfully there were tables available. If you go more towards a busy time (7 pm) or later in the week I'd highly recommend a reservation as it filled up fast while we were eating our meal.

A little on the high side for pricing, but the food tasted great. If you like oysters there are three kinds; a $1.95 NY which is pretty "bleh", as well as a $3+ and a $4+ west coast oyster. Both the west coast were hands-down the best oysters I have ever had.
This said, happy hour was quite disappointing. We ordered a dozen of the "$2 shuckers choice oysters", thinking we'd get a nice variety, and were instead given a dozen of the $1.95 NY oysters. I asked our waiter if this was just luck of the draw, but he said the NY is typically what you get. This experience of cleverly charging more during happyhour, left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth.
We decided that we will go to Humboldt when we are really craving high end (high priced) oysters, and we'll go to Jax Fish house for happyhour. Same quality happyhour oysters, but only $1.50.

Had dinner at Humboldt on Saturday and loved both the scallops and ribeye we ordered! Plus our server (I think her name was Emma) was everything a great waitress should be. Attentive, friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back.

This restaurant is incredible. The food is fresh, the service is impeccable, and the ambiance is perfect for an intimate dinner or a large gathering. Try the maple Brussels sprouts, crisp broccoli, edamame (there's this amazing seasoning on the edamame), truffle fries, and beet salad. I'm sure there's more to taste, but those are what I've enjoyed. They have this super good flavored iced tea too, and I've heard the burger is excellent from many other people. Give it a shot!

We started out with one waiter (female) who never came back... a second waiter (male) just happened to walk by and ask if we needed anything (we must have been looking lost and thirsty)... he took our drink order, apologized and took good care of us the rest of the evening.

One in our party ordered a drink with coconut milk and after everyone else's drink was delivered, he announced they were out of coconut milk. I asked if there was someone that could go to Marczyk Grocery (a couple of blocks away) and pick some up... I don't even think I should have had to suggest it!

Anyway, he laughed like I was crazy and said "oh no..." I thought about asking for the manager, but didn't want to cause a scene.

You can't be a 4 to 5 star restaurant and start out a dining experience like this!

ok. we went here for brunch because White Pie wasn't open. I have always had problems w/ their wine list as so many seem to be on the sweet, fruity, or heavy side. I asked the waitress about the bubbles, which was most dry and crisp. she immediately got offended , said they were all good, etc. Of course, wine is a subjective thing. what one person thinks is sweet, another may not. we order. i have a very mediocre rose. our meals come. mine is cold, like it had been sitting up there for awhile. anyway, i want to like this restaurant, but they are so inconsistent and the servers just don't seem to actually care. i doubt we'll be back again having tried them many times.

This was the first time in a very very long time I have ordered shrimp that were cooked to perfection. Absolutely delicious shrimp and grits.

I highly recommend Humboldt for their excellent service and excellent food.

I used to love this place. Went on my first date with my partner here and was amazing. Post COVID they entirely changed the decor, ruining the ambiance, changed the menu, and have hired very rude staff. Went this morning for brunch and the staff was so rude that we ended up leaving without ordering.

One of my favorite spots to eat lunch in Denver. I especially like the outside dining when possible. Food is always tasty. It isn't unusual for me to eat the broccoli and/or the brussel sprouts apps as a meal. I've dined here at least 10 times and have always received excellent service and excellent food. BTW I have an 11:30 lunch reservation today and cannot wait.

This is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is amazing! It seems the menu has changed a bit with a couple of our favs being taken off, but everything we've had there is wonderful. The filet has been absolute perfection every time I've ordered it! But I do miss the fried oysters app.

We liked this place. A great spot for a nice dinner or drink. Indoor and outdoor seating with a good selection of beer and wine. Dinner menu offered a good variety and service was very good.

We sat in the bar, but it was quiet. Service was prompt and courteous. We started with a salad we shared, which was very generous in portion. I had the ribeye steak special, which was cooked perfectly. My husband had shrimp a la carbonara, which was a bit spicy, but also very good.

Earlier this month, I was able to attend a work dinner with Bob and some of his associates at Humboldt: Farm-Fish-Wine.

I was really impressed with one of their round booth tables. It was the perfect table for six people, being the only booth-like table I've seen where no one had to scooch to exit the booth.

If you don't mind truffle salt, I highly recommend their House Martini which is made with Ketel One vodka, truffle salt rim with a blue cheese stuffed olive.

Their crispy broccoli appetizer was the star of the evening in my opinion. Battered so lightly, it almost appeared as if there was no batter at all, but they were crispy and delicious!

I hadn't been to this place since they first opened after String's closed in that location. I was really impressed, and would definitely go back.

Enjoy the live music on Saturday nights. Fantastic food and amazing bartender. Service is attentive, but not obtrusive. Would go back in a heartbeat! Highly recommend the trout dip and brussel sprouts.
