Friendly staff and they are always so kind to our dogs. The clinic is excellent.

I was very pleased with my overall experience. Abby i believe was her name that called as a Vet Student and was pleasant over the phone. Louie was super happy it seemed like. The young lady that came to my car to pick up my pup and bring him back was extremely friendly and helpful as she signed us in. No five star because they didn't clean his ears like most places do immediately in checkups because he is a bassett. Also, have to call but I did not receive his Rabies Certicate or the tag. Otherwise I was happy to take him there and wish I could have went in with him to meet the Vetinarians.

These people are fantastic. They genuinely care about the animals and enjoy their jobs. We have adopted 2 dogs here. I can also recommend their veterinary center. The vet we have seen here is top notch.

I trapped a wild cat myself, took it out there, they fixed it, I said he could not be released here because my cat will end up biting me she is so upset. that he sees the outside cat. I am so angry that they brought it back here and released it. here it is and my cat is outraged snuffing and screaming. thanks a lot. they had told me they would release it to a colony.

I have adopted two of my animals from here. The staff here is always helpful and polite. And they have a great program here for low income families who need help paying for dog or cat food

I found the most perfect dog for me.Everyone there was so helpful,to make sure we had the right fit. Pancho wasn,t what I was looking for.I wanted a puppy and a female. But he tugged at my heart strings. It was an easy process and I was informed about everything they knew. I couldn,t be happier. THANK YOU for giving me my new best friend.

I love this place so much, I got both of my cats yoshi (original name is hawke) and ladybug. They are nice and take care of the animals perfectly

Their low cost clinic is the best around. The employees are wonderful and very efficient. I have 3 dogs and it's great not having to wait in a line with all of then. Having an appointment makes all the difference. Please don't change that..
Tje prices are very affordable as well. Thank you for all that you do.

The volunteers really know their stuff. They helped me pick out a cat to adopt, and they asked me a bunch of questions to make sure I would be the right fit as an owner. The process took forever, but they were doing the right thing to ensure my cat got to a safe home.

The facility is clean and I didn't experience that sense of dread often felt at an animal shelter. My only gripe was the pet supplies they were selling were really overpriced. But that's to be expected at an animal shelter I guess.

Found a great pup his forever family . They were awesome.

Having volunteered with other facilities it is so nice to see one that is this well managed. Also nice how well it's supported by the community.

Great place, was getting with our rescue kitty. Veterans and staff are GREAT and very caring.

The staff really care about animals and the prices are fair. They let you know prices for labs that need to be sent out before they do the lab work for you. The down side is that it can be hard to get an appointment sometimes if you need to be seen less than 3 weeks to a month out.

Our family has always believed in visiting the shelters when looking for a dog or cat. For the last 15 plus years we have cared for and loved for dogs and three cats. Over the last three to four years we've unfortunately lost each of our dogs and two of our cats.. It has been about 6 months since our last precious angel past and we visited here to see if there was another angel in need of a home. It has been more than 11 years since we last visited and has it changed! Kudos to everyone involved in the amazing changes that have transformed this shelter. We were not successful on this visit however there were a couple of precious dogs who peaked our interest. We have filled out an application and waiting for a vet check on one precious little lady and hopefully we will be her forever home. Thank you for the wonderful work your staff and volunteers do for this wonderful organization.

Clean and helpful with a huge selection of potential pets! They take wonderful care of the animals. Support them when you can!

I drove 1 hrs to here for adopt a kitten and they don t even let me in just because max capacity , and it was 4:00pm which is 3 hrs away from closing, the front desk staff(the one right at the door) is so mean, and we even called before we came and no one answered. DO NOT come here, and if possible I would like to give this place 0 star. Thanks god Human society in lansing is much much better than here. Hope they get more kittens in the future.

I came here for the first time with my dog while she was very sick, everyone was extremely kind to me and my dog, and went above and beyond to make sure she recieved the care and even more that she needed. And it was extremely affordable compared to the other places I had been previously. Thank you!

They are very animal centered and make sure the match is going to be good for both humans and animal alike. They have United me with both of my animals. I would highly recommend HSHV.

Got my dog spayed her and get her flea medicine here. Everyone is so nice here too.

Great efficient staff. Brought my female cat in for the usual procedures. They treated her with warmth. She was nervous but survived just fine.

They're a no kill shelter and the staff is amazing. I got my 2 buddies from there and they've been chill and cuddly. Go here and look to rescue an animal before you contact a breeder.

Just because it's a humane shelter it doesn't have to smell as bad as it did the day I was there. Right as you walk in the front door is a problem.

We got our sweet baby, Mocha from Huron Valley in December. They posted her on Instagram, and we fell in love. They responded very quickly on Instagram, and our calls. The staff was very friendly, and helpful. Since she was an owner surrender, we were able to get the information the previous owner provided which has been very helpful. Also, the shelter and the conditions were excellent. Definitely was impressed.

Has been my vet for 10 years now. The people here are WONDERFUL! Cannot say enough good things about this place.

One of the most wonderful, caring, loving, thoughtful facilities of its kind and the most amazing place to support through both your financial donations and your time. These people are wonderful and the best you will find anywhere. The animals are at the center of all that they do, which is how it should be.

Very clean and well organized, no kill shelter. My boys are taking volunteer classes right now.

They do a great job for the animals. The facility is clean and spacious. Very friendly and dedicated staff.

Found a rabbit that had been hit by a car. They graciously took him in and will try to reabilitate him. Makes me so happy that there are places that do things like this!

Adopting my kitty was very easy. Everyone was really helpful and there were so many pets to choose from. They made sure we were ready to take Jiji home with food and info. We spent less than an hour there between arrival and leaving with our new baby. Would definitely recommend HSHV to anyone looking for a new family member.

Awesome facility, tons of workers and volunteers, more cats than dogs available, good adoption fees. The dogs are housed in a kennel so they can go outside and come back in on their own

This is by far the nicest humane society I've ever visited, and I've visited quite a few! Staff friendly and helpful, animals well cared for, a volunteer was even reading to the cats! They offer seniors discounts, and if dog is over 8 years, they waive the fee. I LOVE this place!

Very nice people working there. The dogs are treated really well, and it was nice being able to take a few dogs for a walk that I was interested in adopted.

This is a wonderfully clean and informative shelter. I ve been here to visit the animals (only through their cages - you need an approved adoption application in order to get animals out) and also adopted a kitten recently.

The staff gives you a ton of information and counsels you through adding an animal to your home and family. Folks adopting get a discounted first visit to the on-site veterinary clinic.

We got our dog from this place a couple of years ago. You can tell everyone at this place cares deeply for the animals. The vet clinic is also awesome, very caring, and they don't nickel and dime you like some other clinics.

I have been volunteering at HSHV for quite a while and its the most amazing place there is for these stranded animals. The care and comfort they provide with 98% save rate is astonishing. With so many programs to indulge the community, this place and its staff is wonderful. Please visit and help the animals.

Best place to adopt an animal by far. They take great care of you and have great volunteer opportunities.

We love supporting the humane society. Vets dont push unneeded medications like other vets. Appointments do drag on with a visit from a tech, then 10 minute wait, visit from the vet then a 20 minute wait, then they return.

Such a great organization. They do the best taking care of animals and finding a good home for them. I adopted my cat from here and I'm so happy with the whole process.

Spayed my dog here. Everyone was incredibly friendly during the process (even after I called for the third time pre-op). The cost was the best around and my dog healed well.

Went to pet puppies rescued from the hurricanes. They did not disappoint! We we're in awe on how big the facility is and how clean it is. My wife even wants to start volunteering here!

This place is AMAZING! My husband and I found three abandoned kittens under our apartment, one with a severe foot injury, and not only did they give them all the care they needed but gave us updates when we asked about them. They were so caring towards those kittens that when we decided to adopt a dog we went to them. We have had our baby, Mr. Waffles, for almost two years and we couldn't love him more! We also rescued two older bunnies from their shelter, Lizzy and Amore, who are so wonderful as well! Love, love, love this place! Everytime we stop in to drop off a donation we look around and always find volunteers with the animals, dogs being walked, and everything is very clean. Thanks for all the great work!

This is one of the best shelters I've been to and we've adopted two pets from there so far. The history on the pets is accurate so you know exactly what you are getting into. The facility is set up so that the pets are well treated and humanely kept.

I think it was 2010. My wife gave her blessing to get a male pug to go with our fawn female pug. She had lost her lab companion and seemed lonely.

The staff was excellent and caring. But, they were honest and said don't get your hopes up this pug barks at other dogs and is not good with cats.

An hour later he was on his way back to Grand Blanc Mi with his new friend. He did not bark at her at all. We could not figure out why anyone would ever give him up to begin with. He has this big head and his name is Zukey. He was loved by all of his Michigan family.

Here we are four years later and at about 8 Zukey has moved to Arizona and is doing great. A loving dog. His fawn female pug friend passed away in Michigan. He now has a black female friend, 4 year old Stella. But, without this place in Michigan I would not have been blessed by this rescue dog.
