My dog got away from my children and someone picked him up and took him to them. I can definitely say they care about reuniting the dog to their proper owner. They are great and care about animals sincerely. They are wonderful, unlike Longmont. Thank you boulder humane! I appreciate you!

Do NOT adopt from here. Staff are liars. They told me their clinic was closed due to COVID19 then informed me the cat I had already filled the forms for, etc etc was adopted right from under me last night just before the clinic closed! So they were open, and LIED about it. Do NOT adopt from here.

The vet clinic at HSBV has always been excellent. We have been to other vets in Boulder Valley but this clinic beats them all with great service, great prices and great care. The vets are all very personable and realistic in the best course of treatment whether it is routine preventative care or something more serious.

Thank you for this staff! They were amazing with my dog. And the instructions written out to guide me when we got home were detailed and exactly what I wanted to know. Thank you for your loving expertise during this scary moment for me and my dog!!

Great shelter. The place is split up in sections and the fees for adoption aren't expensive at all. I got my cat from here . Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to adopt

We had a phenomenal adoption experience with The Humane Society of Boulder Valley. Penelope Bee ( formerly Penelope), is the first dog we've ever had. She is sweet, smart, house trained and a great addition to our family. Special thanks to Erin and The HSBV Vets/Staff for being so helpful, honest and informative. We just love our new addition Ms. Penelope Bee!

They ve been very helpful with astray cat we ve found, we also had questions that other vets wanted us to schedule an appointment (pay to answer the questions), but they simply answered. We never adopted a pet there but it looks like they really keep things clean and treat the pets really good. The staff there simply love animals and I appreciate they volunteer.
We just recently soayed our female dog at their clinic. They are absolutely AMAZING. You got doctors that performing these kind of surgeries more than any private clinic, it s a non profit organization with outstanding service. Oh and the price was 1/8 of what we would have needed to pay in a private clinic.

We were able to see many dogs before choosing our new puppy here. We were allowed to take them on walks to see it if was a match! The staff is friendly to both the animals and the people.

I really love these guys. They really take care of the animals up for adoption and their selection of cats and dogs is always amazing. I recently got an extremely healthy and beautiful cat here! Some shelters will go e you a sick pet, but not here!

Maybe it's only one of the vets, not going to risk a 2nd one.
Lady vet abused my kitten, kitten was quaking and quivering in fear after being handled and getting vaccinated. Never seen a pet mistreated at a vet's before. Really shocking.

Vet didn't tell me about risk of reactions until after giving multiple vaccinations on one visit.

Nor did the vet discuss costs w/ me -- Most Expensive Well-kitten check up Visit in History (plus my pet was traumatized). Don't go there unless you are filthy rich and avoid the lady vet.

Sorry I didn't read the Google reviews first. I agree with all of the 1 and 2 maybe it's only one vet, but still....

If you're adopting a dog, this place is amazing. Very kind and accomodating staff. However, We recently tried to surrender a pet thinking they were a no kill shelter which isn't entirely true. If you have a pet with any sort of food aggression issues or is shy around other pets they may schedule them for euthanasia if you surrender them. We were notified of this and reclaimed our pet, only to find she was covered in feces. While I very much understand why they can't keep all pets that are surrendered, I feel "no kill" is misleading.

We LOVE this place, we have not adopted here but we have used the veterinary clinic for several years and the vets are so kind and patient and obviously well educated. They have very reasonable prices as well which has especially been appreciated as my senior dog has had health issues over the last year. They are great at returning phone calls quickly and also calling you with test results quickly, and are great at explaining everything to you and answering questions. They have been so understanding and helpful with guiding us in our decisions regarding how much (and how invasive) treatment/s we want to provide for our dog. The staff is so friendly and thorough as well. I can't say enough good things about this vet clinic, and I have had dogs (and obviously used vets) for over thirty years.

We recently got two kittens here. The staff was accomadating and took the time to help and answer questions. The rooms to meet and greet the animals are quite nice. The best part about this place is that you can tell the staff genuinely cares, and that so refreshing to feel in this world.

This place goes above and beyond to do what is best for the animals. The facility is clean, looks new and is big. The staff is thorough and so friendly.

To Hooch: I love you so much and I hope you find the forever home of your doggie dreams. I will always miss you buddy.

They found my cat 4days after he escaped through the window. He was picked up on CU campus and I saw him the next day on their website. They missed scanning his chip, so all my fees were waived!

We got our dog here! Our dog had kennel cough when we adopted him but we went back the next day and we were able to get free medication to get it taken care of. Not sure if all animal shelters do this, but we were very happy with the service.

After many years of being a happy customer here, I am appalled by how my husband, myself and my poor senior citizen cat have been treated by Dr. Christina Gutierrez. I am still having trouble processing everything that has unraveled in the past week and how my husband was treated yesterday specifically by her. I would NEVER recommend seeing her unless you like being judged, spoken to in a condescending manner, or would like to be tricked into more services than your animal actually needs. She spoke badly about other doctors at the clinic to my husband then slammed a prescription down in front of him, raised her voice and said "now this you have to pay for" then walked out of the room. He was left there and not told that he may leave or what to do next. Then she proceeded to yell at him at the front desk while he was checking out, telling him he did not pay for certain things. It was ridiculous to say the least. I received a call from Kat Burns who is the director of operations at the humane society to speak about the situation the following day. She was extremely apologetic and very kind and sensitive to the issue at hand. She apologized but didn't offer anything else such as a refund. I get it, we need to pay for the services they provided but no one deserves to be treated the way we were in any situation. I'm looking forward to moving on from the Humane Society. It will be very interesting to see what another vet has to say about our cat compared to what they have been telling us all these years.

We adopted both our puppies from HSBV. The process was easy, stress free, and the staff walked us through every step. When we got our second puppy we were able to bring our other pup to meet her first. The staff are knowledgeable and compassionate!

I adopted a puppy here a few months ago and have been very happy with the experience. Because Lucy was shy around humans and sometimes scared of other dogs they spent a lot of time with us discussing how to make her comfortable and when to take special precautions. She had only been there a few days when we decided to adopt her and they even held her for an appropriate amount of time after her spaying surgery which gave us more time to prepare for her arrival. The adoption process was quick and they answered all of my questions. A few days later she showed signs of kennel cough and the vet was able to see her the next day. They completely covered the costs of her treatment because she most likely caught it before we adopted her. I thought that was incredible. Boulder is lucky to have this place and all the resources that go into it. Thank you to everyone who works and volunteers here. I'm proud to have helped support this organization while getting my new best friend.

I have adopted three animals through the HSBV and every time it has been a wonderful experience. They are patient, understanding and allow you to take the time needed to ensure the animal is a good fit for your family. The vet is also great and affordable.

We're parents again! We adopted "Kelci" on Monday from the Humane Society of Boulder Valley. Kelci was 8 weeks old when she was transferred to Boulder from a shelter in Texas. Now she's 10 weeks. The day we went to visit with her to see if she'd be a good fit, we received a distressing call just hours later from the humane society telling us that Kelci was just diagnosed with parvo virus, potentially fatal. They caught it early, successfully treated it and nursed her back to good health and released Kelci to us Monday. She was one of a litter of 5. She's a beagle-chihuahua mix. Weighs in at a teeny 5 pounds. She's in great health, getting stronger every day and eating well. Our local vet signed off on her health yesterday. Take a look at the pics of Kelci while in isolation at Boulder and from this morning. Our sincere thanks to the dedicated staff at Humane Society of Boulder Valley.

I adopted my black Siamese named Sebastian back in 2013. I saw his picture on the website and I knew he was the one for me. I rushed to the Humane Society and immediately found him in a kitty condo. When Bashy saw me, he pawed the door and meowed frantically. The employee was ecstatic when Bashy jumped in my lap and kissed my cheek, purring. He had been there for months and months because he didn't find anyone that he liked. He was aggressive with other people and hated other cats. But, we love each other very much. He is my purrfect match.

We found our little buddy on our second visit. The Boulder Humane Society site is clean and bright. Staff was kind and helpful. This shelter is the nicest one I've ever seen. Easy to adopt too. Our new kitten came with papers, shots, microchips, and his background story. We love our little guy! Highly recommend.

Dear Citizens of B, sorry for being not kind, sometimes unpolite yesterday. Originalli I wished to be for the Halloween night, your ghost of communism, but, being tired, exhausted, i could only appear as the spirit of anger against private ownership. Which is boring, and sad. By the way, the citizens were not so helpfuI to find my accomodation, although I usually helped people to find there way at my home, if asked. I really hope, no one had really bad afternoon, because of me. B. town is per se spectacular, some of the citizens also, have an interesting night, H. Abel
