The best costumer service ever!! They are very compassionate and will work with people to ensure animals are given second chances. They have great communication and always answer the phone. Their shelter is beautiful and clean. Love this place.

I went a couple days ago to rehome my dog, and ended up changing my mind. Went to go pick him up, but i felt very comfortable in leaving him in there! They even fixed him for me free of charge! I love this place and would definitely recommend! My dog came home clean and with clipped nails as well! If i could give 10000 stars i would. Thank you humane society

Our visit was great from beginning to end. Staff allowed us to spend as much time as we needed with each dog we were considering adopting, allowing us to find the perfect match for our family. The adoption process was simple and comprehensive at the same time. We truly saw the commitment of the organization to find the right match for each family and each animal they have available for adoption. We have been back several times for dog supplies to support their mission and get great products for our new family member. We hope to be able to volunteer in the near future.

I'm all for adoption, but these pets don't need rescued, this was the coziest pet facility that I've been too! Jokes aside, they seem to take great care of their pets, the only negative was how long the adoption process took.

I have been here multiple times looking for furry family members. The facilities are clean and they have nice areas to bring the animals to interact with them. The people are friendly and helpful.

I visit here to play sometimes. always immaculate and great staff.
Recently I surrendered my pet to them. The compassion they gave me was overwhelming. Im allowed to check her status, and knowing they will screen the home helps ease my grief

This place is better than average; however, they also have become ridiculous in terms of adoption fees charging well over what neighboring counties or shelters charge for similarly aged animals. They charge pet store or breeder prices for shelter animals because it's Boulder and people will pay.

We are new in town and tried a few local vets and Humane Society of Boulder Valley was by far the best experience. They do amazing work and we know our Golden Retriever is in great caring hands when we bring him into the clinic. Highly recommend them and happy to support such a great local resource.

I have adopted 3 dogs from HSBV and I will never go back. The first two dogs were over 10 years ago, at that time it was a fairly well ran place. The people were considerate and they seemed to have patience and some good customer service skills. The most recent adoption was in February of this year. I will not go into too many details, I will just say, this place has changed a lot from what I saw. The dog we rescued is either 10 or 13 years old (the paperwork has both ages listed in various spots) and was in need of real medical care that they clearly failed to give her, she was on meds that were not for her condition and she was severely depressed from the hard life she had been living over the prior months. After a lot of money, time, love and effort we have gotten her back on track and she is now living out her days in a safe home with a warm bed and home cooked meals to control her kidney failure.

Something that really bothered me about this place is that they never once called to check up on the recent dog we adopted. With the other two we had gotten a call within a few weeks to see how they were doing but not with the 13 year old with all the health issues. Why not? It's little things like that that show a place is a genuine in what they do.

Still hate dog and cat jail..this one is nice and clean like a pet shop. Almost 400$ to rescue a puppy. Hopefully Boulder takes that 350$ and houses their homeless humane human population problem collecting on every corner or turn.

We went to get a dog, got a adorable little black and white puppy for a emotional support dog for are atisic son. They said it was a Catahoula Leopard dog. I read all of my paperwork, and on the transfer page from the other pound says the owner of the mother didn't want the puppies and that they are pit bull/boxer mix. If they came from an owner is feel they really are what they say. So if you go there be aware of the lies they pawn off as a less scary breeds of dogs I at least was a dog groomer/dog trainer so we can train her to be well behave.

My husband and I got our first dog here together. Since they price partially by age, we were able to pay a very reasonable price and give a home to a dog in need. Toby (6 yo) is a happy, healthy dog. They helped a lot and made sure we knew he was a good fit.

The Humane Society of boulder valley is very nice and easy to navigate. They have a variety of dogs to explore however the cats always seem a little lacking when I go there. The most I've ever even seen at this location is 5.

I took my two babies thinking they would take care of them. They were sisters and they killed one because they only gave her two short days to not be scared and when she had not acclimated in that time they just threw her life away! I'm so disappointed in them. It was hard enough having to surrender them after having them for six years, then they do that! They are definitely NOT a no kill shelter!

Took my puppy home and with in hours he had tapeworms crawling out!! They clearly knew he had worms because of how severe it was this had to be going on for weeks. Called them and they just said ok, we'll take him to the vet... I had him for 6 hrs. So I returned him sense they sold him to me with worms and refused to cure him. When I dropped him back off they just put him right back in the cage and up for adoption without fixing the tapeworms!!!!!

We adopted two lop rabbits today. The staff at Boulder Valley was friendly and knowledgeable. The shelter is taking appropriate COVID-19 precautions, so we felt safe. Because of a promotion sponsored by Subaru, we received 50% off of our adoption fee for adopting adult animals. That was a great surprise!
