Nothing to do here if you don't eat carbs. Left hungry with a lighter wallet. Slow service, prices do not reflect the eating hall atmosphere. Will not come back nor recommend.

The beers here are done very well, and there is always a big selection of beer types so you should be able to find something you'll like. The food menu is also done well; the salads are sizable and the poutine packs a punch. I generally stop here on my way home from skiing or climbing and like the cozy vibe of the large hall, and I've always been met with friendly staff enjoying that Squamish life. I have yet to stay here, so this review is only relevant to the beer, food, and ambiance.
Right off the bat, I have a dairy allergy. This makes eating out a challenge. It doesn't always end up being a complicated challenge, but more often than not, it unfortunately is. It's not so much that the menu is lacking dairy-free options, it's usually that the staff are either unwilling to change some menu items or not knowledgeable about what constitutes "dairy free". For all the servers out there, mayonnaise does not contain dairy. All in all, when I come across a restaurant/bar and a server who is on top of it, I really, really, appreciate it.
Danny, our server, was excellent. She went back and forth to the kitchen to ask and discover what I could eat. It's a easy thing to do, yet it seems to be not a simple thing to do.
Food was great. I went with a salad and yam fries. Didn't drink a beer, but Howe sound beer is delicious.
Thank you Danny.
Yum! The Ale Cheese soup, mushroom risotto and salmon cakes were all so flavorful. We didn't even have to choose only one beer, we got to pick a flight of four which were all good. Service was fantastic, too.
Great place to check out on the way to Whistler. Good place to take kids as well baby friendly. Food was alright.. Beer was delicious!
There is little wait between the order of the dishes and their arrival but it was a real treat. An impressive variety of beers for all tastes. Definitely a place that I recommend and that I would return again and again
Cool brew pub but so were the staff, serveral need an attitude adjustment
Good food and beer just a few feet from the marina really nice setting
The hype about this place did not live up the the expectation. The staff were welcoming and great but the food is where the 2 stars fall short. The presentation looks delicious but it was very salty. We ordered calamari, pizza, full rack ribs (btw dont, its dry and of course salty) and nachos. Every dish, the saltiness taste lingers. Most likely will give this place another shot but with lower expectations.
delicious - great service, great food, any choices (had a big group and all were happy)
Very nice atmosphere and superb room, attentive staff despite the affluence
They were out a lot of their beers and the one I did order showed up dead flat. They charge $10 for a half Caesar salad that has less than a handful of Romain and next to no dressing. Skip this spot
Food was really great. Service was even better! The beer was the best part.
Overall good place. The food was a little bland though.
It was nice for order the food and the front desk staff will bring it to your room just upstairs. We ordered bunch drinks but there s no water dispenser
The dirty fries were too salty but the chicken burger is good!
Oh man, where do I begin. So many favourites come out of this brewery. Hazy Dayz, Pumpkineater, Super Jupiter, King Heffy, they re all so good. Howe sound is the OG, and they ve got a great food menu too. Portions were insanely big, they ve got options for happy hour food and drink as well. You won t be disappointed!
The beers are varied and delicious. Lots of seasonal options! Our flight had a few fun winter options that were interesting and different: one with nutmeg and one a dark oatmeal stout. We had the daily soup (chicken and mushroom) and beer bread, which is fantastic. The server was friendly and fun, and made the experience even better. Would highly recommend.
Good craft beers, good food, good patio, great view, great afternoon in Squamish!
Great place for beer and appies. I like the patio that it's elevated and umong the trees.
Food wasn't bad but the music seemed to be a tad loud.
Clean building.
So many beers to choose from, I'n a cool wood cabin looking place
It was AWESOME!! .... GR8 food!! The g.f. said "Don't even need salt" and complimented the chef ..... which is a big deal.
I have tried several microbreweries across Canada, and frankly it is in my top 3.
Great casual pub with very tasty craft brews on tap.
Nicoise salad was absolutely delicious, as was the beer!
Great beer selection. Our pints were fresh and tasty.
I have been coming here for years when on climbing trips in Squamish. Great Pub. Their burgers are top notch. I wish there were more pubs in this style. Not pretentious, but provide good food and a great atmosphere+outdoor seating.
Always enjoyable. Slow service but great environment and beer.
Awesome place to check out the scenery and have a perfectly crafted beer.
Must check out their patio on a nice day.
The food is fantastic. I recommend the homemade BC burger.
Solid pub for a beer after shenanigans in the surrounding mountains. Can be pretty busy on weekend evenings and food/service quality can suffer at those times.
Great spot for a post-hike/outdoor adventure drink and food. Great selection of craft beer. Really tasty burgers. Real good pizza. And really, really good yam fries! Friendly service. Highly recommended!
Friendly staff. Nice ambience. Tasty food. Good beverages. Overall really great.
We liked sitting on their deck. Service was good. Portions are big. Lots of leftovers. I had the thin crust pizza with wild mushrooms. There was so much cheese on it that the crust was a bit mushy. Tasted fine but was very filling. I took 4 of 6 pieces home. My friend had the fried chicken sandwich which had a huge piece of boneless fried chicken in the bun and was very tasty. Great fresh fries with the sandwich. This sandwich is also filling and half went home. Worth checking out again.
Perfect location in Stanley Park. Great food, fast service and relaxing atmosphere. Excellent for visitors to Vancouver and locals. Great to see this location back in operation with a modern look!
Came in for dinner, after a day of climbing. The property was gorgeous, and the view of the Squamish Chief from the deck was great! The food was quite good, but service was a little slow.
We loved our stay. Room is very comfortable. Day bed will fit an adult up to 6 1 comfortably.
Great food, beer and views from the patio! Prices are reasonable.
The service was kind of slow but our waiter was lovely. I d only go if everyone is enthusiastic about craft beer because the food is ok.
Visiting Squamish for my daughter's wedding with family. Previously had eaten at Howe Sound Brewing so we knew that the group we were with would enjoy it. The variety of food and drink was great for everyone.
$18 for a burger...and $2 extra for sauce? No thanks. Food is ok but best go to whitespot as food is better and prices far more reasonable. The place is a cash cow..
Visited here around 2:30pm on a Wednesday. Extremely slow service.. such long wait times in between our waitress asking for drinks and asking if we wanted food. She never asked us if we wanted another drink. When she finally came around and I asked for the bill, my boyfriend asked for a glass of water and she seriously told him no because I asked for the bill. Like water is free right?? Okay food. Poor time management and poor service.
Went to Howe Sound with a group of ~30 for a staff party. Our server was awesome, especially since we were ordering a lot of food and drinks.
Ordered the lamb pot pie, lamb burger, bacon wrapped oysters, fresh oysters, dirty fries, and the charcuterie. Everything was delicious! The oysters were fresh. The fries were so good, we kept ordering them all night.
Food was great, service was professional and friendly, drinks were yum. The restaurant is super cool and cozy inside. Overall a really fantastic experience
I'm not sure if I went on a bad day ? Beer was decent but the food was very plain and mediocre at best. At $60 for two people I expected a bit more
Go there every time we go to Squamish. Great atmosphere. Always busy but can always get a table. Great food options and great beer!
Great food great beer but the service was not as nice as expected
Amazing appetizers. I recommend the dirty fries and hot wings! Also the gluten friendly Brownie was amazing!!
The dishes here were a bit hit or miss- we had delicious pizza, but the house special pot pie (chicken) was a bit too watery and the chicken wings were dry. I would recommend eating pizza here mostly.
The beers were great, though! And I appreciated the good happy hour specials.
Excellent brewery. Good food, good beers and friendly service.
Rude staff. We have loved this place for a long time and been regulars, it has great views and okay food. But tonight we made a reservation for the patio so we could have our 3 month old in the bassinet/stroller where it s quite. I went in and checked well my husband waited with her in the car before getting her all packed up. Once we got in they gave the spot away. We asked if we could sit inside until another patio spot was free bc it was so noisy (over 85dB on the iPhone sound meter app) that we didn t want the baby in their for long. She said she wouldn t do that. So we walked down the street to another restaurant.
Great food, large portion, with quality ingredients and washed down with a locally brewed beer, that was also very good. There were five of us and everyone liked their food and beer selections. Service was excellent. Atmosphere is open and lively in the main bar. Nice view of the mountain.
Won't be going back as long as we have a pandemic.
They have a list where you can write down your name for contact tracking at the entrance.
The tables are safely placed a good distance from each other.
Good, I thought. But I couldn't believe none of the waitresses and staff were wearing masks. Honestly. We got up and walked out.
We always stop there when we go by Squamish. I'm sorry to say we won't anymore.
Edit: Thank you Meg for your answer. Everyone serving customers or behind a counter in Whistler is wearing a mask. I understand that you are following the BC guidelines for covid. However, doing the bare minimum is hardly reassuring for me. I don't think wearing a mask would be too onerous for a restaurant trying to attract business. Let's hope all this ends soon.
Decent beer but the building and view make it remarkable.
The burgers are out of this world! I'd stop here just for that. Skip the butter chicken. Servers are either new or just super busy but sweet nevertheless. I've only had good experiences here. A bit on the pricey side.
Nice spot at the end of town. Great atmosphere and excellent service.
Food was great and the brew beers were delicious!!!
Many beers on tap, very delightful atmosphere. Great view. Had the in house smoked wings, and they were fantastic.
If you find yourself here make sure you bring beer home with you, Megadestroyer and Pothole Filler are delicious and criminally hard to find in stores.
This place is fantastic..Great beer selection, wonderful service and the food is excellent. If you're ever passing by squamish you have to stop by this place.
Must stop after a Mtb ride! Kalamansi citrus blonde was amazing and refreshing. One of the best I have had ever!
The brew pub is renowned for slow service and long waits for food. The beer always seems to give me a headache too, even if you just have one pint. Prices are a little too high to be justifiable, and the menu has gone downhill over the years.
Food is incredible but a bit over priced. The beer is always amazing but i went there hoping to have some pumpkin beer and they were out before Halloween.
