Howe Sound Brewing Review

If I could give the rating with no stars I would. Worst service! We sat in the dining area for 10 mins without one server acknowledging us. Ending up leaving.

Good range of food and drinks at reasonable prices... Local craft beers meet many tastes. Not always the fastest service, but decent.

We got nachos which barely had any cheese on it, what was on there was so toasted you couldn't even taste it. I got a burger which was not seasoned what so ever and served me raw bacon on top of that. Brought it up to the waitress who said she would show the kitchen but said nothing otherwise.
One star is for the beer. Would not go back for the food or service.

The staff decide where you sit, even though we preferred sitting at the bar; they decided to place us in restaurant side poor judgement!

Ok fish and chips. Good beer. Won't refill growlers though. Thankfully there are two other breweries in town.

Great good and slighty cheaper beer than bc liq store. The food is actually very good although the service could be a bit slow at times.

The servers are very attentive. They also gave away free beer openers by the entrance.

Stayed at the hotel and ate/drank at the pub. Friendly staff and great food/drinks

The beyond burger does not come as a vegan option (only vegetarian) - we asked for vegan beyond and we only got the patty (no vegan bun nor cheese) so we basically only got a beyond burger patty and fries. I m only adding a few stars because the waitress we got was very sweet and got us each a free drink as an apology.

Great service, great atmosphere. Food was a little bit basic, and small(ish) serving sizes, but delicious none the less. Recommend hemp brownie!

Very slow service, they messed up my friends order aswell. They did end up comping it, however everything about this restaurant was slow including paying for food. The food overall was good, and reasonably priced

Received expert advice while getting take-out beer! Look for the buy-one-get-one-free cases of wheat beer cases (that's 24 x 1L).

Excellent menu with large portions and low prices. Live music on selected nights. As you'd expect an excellent beer menu ; )

The Kung Pao bowl was tasty, and there was a great selection of beers!

We travelled to Squamish in Sept 2020, and ended up eating at Howe Sound two or three times because we liked it so much! Great beer selection, and the food was delicious! Would definitely recommend!

I feel like most of their beer is more on the safe side and it's amazing! You can't go wrong with choosing any of their beer because they are all so tasty! What also made it an amazing experience was that we got 2 growlers on sale for just $3.25 in their fridge. It was a great night

Our go to spot to go after a long day of hiking. It might just be because we were tired and hungry but everything I've ordered here has tasted amazing.

Great place. Went on way from Whistler to van. Quick access from hwy. Good size place, cozy. Great service. Enjoyed everything we ordered. Prices comparable to all other similar places. Try the cheddar beer soup!!!

Here for supper with 6 adults and two young boys. The service was great and the food was too.

A great spot with stunning views of the chief from the deck. They have a lovely assortment of crafted beer. The food is pretty good too.

We stayed at the Inn and dined at the restaurant several times. It s such a lovely spot in Squamish. Beer is authentically west coast craft style. Service is consistently great from restaurant to front desk staff. This is a must-stop place for us every time we visit Squamish.

Nice atmosphere here, not to far from the sea to sky. Staff were helpful and came with a smile

Delicious gluten free veggie burger! I had a beyond meat burger and was all over it.
Definitely overpriced. I got charged for the gluten free bun (expected) but also for having a side salad instead of fries (not warned, or warranted)

Nice clean room, it was odd though that they tried hard to get me to take a room with two separate beds when Me and my wife had booked a queen bed suite. Keep the queen bed and was happy with the room

Never thought I'll find the best tasting hot pot pho at a brew pub... It was addicting. A must visit fun pub in Squamish for the visitors!

Large bar which plenty of options for beer. You can make your own flight which is great. What was annoying was that they wouldn't let us move to a larger table when one was available because it wasn't in the servers area even though we needed a larger table for more people who came later. This was ridiculous and left some of us standing around waiting for a large table to clear in the right area....

Great vibe, solid food and service, fantastic brews... Wholly worth a visit.

Food is great , beer and ambience more so. Kung pao bowl is good choice if you want to try veggie.

The gnocchi was delicious, anything with brisket here in incredible. Our server Chris was super nice and informative. The interior was cozy and spacious and offered covid conscious service.

Went after a long day of hiking, and was delighted by the service. Came in with a large group on a busy night, and they were able to accommodate us without too long of a wait.

This place is huge, great stop when you are going to Whistler/Vancouver.

I really think that bikers who usually stop at the starbucks close to the highway should stop here instead :)

That is the place I go personally, beer is good, service is ok, and the patio is amazing.

Will accommodate very large groups as well as it is has a crazy huge dining area at the back.

A great place to stop between Vancouver and Whistler. Hidden at the end of Squamish, it's easy to park, have plenty of space inside, the food was good, and the service fantastic. Really can't ask for more , as a lunch stop on a road trip.

We tried the Brussels sprouts, which came in plenty and really well done, and the steak, which was on the OK side. The pizza was eaten whole by a kid that usually takes a bite, and a starter of wings to start was very good.

I thoroughly enjoyed the food, beer and found my waitress to be sweet, welcoming and very considerate. Will certainly be going back after another day of arduous hiking!

The food was fantastic... I got a (I believe it was trout) salad and a couple different types of beer. They have a HUGE selection and a beautiful dining hall. The service was pretty good even though they were slammed after Beer Fest!

Enjoyed a lovely meal in the Brew Pub while watching the hockey game on the big screen. Excellent selections of the finest craft beer you will ever find. The BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich is excellent and if you have room for dessert, the Hemp Fudge Brownie with Ice Cream is to die for!

Definitely the place to stay and/or eat when visiting Squamish, BC!

I went in here blind, and had my eyes opened and my mind blown.

The fish and chips were amazingly done, and you could taste the freshness.

The wife and I ended up getting two flights of beer just so we could sample as many as we could, and each one was better than the last.

But even though the food was amazing, the service was stellar as well. Our waitress was friendly, engaging and knowledgeable about the food and the beverages and her town. I've never felt more welcome in a restaurant in my life.

I wish I was here right now! Amazing dark ports brewed on site, fresh and unique pizza and other items. I was in Vancouver and did the "sea to sky" highway to whistler. This is a great spot to stop if you're making this trip.

Why in the world would you get rid of live music on weekends? I'm so disappointed. This was my go to spot for a weekend getaway because it had everything under one roof - beer, music, and a place to sleep. Now with the music gone, I may as well go elsewhere in Squamish for better food & beer.

Good food, a fair selection of brews (as I am the driver, I can only comment on the coffee - acceptable)

A great place to go after camping overnight at Garhibabi Lake! The hamburgers, Garibaldi and crispy chicken, and the tuna poke were very good! And of course the beer is always good. The three dip platter was also good as an appetizer.

Been here twice now. Going for a third time today. They make great beer and great food.

Addendum: Last time I went there was a couple months ago. Something happened and it was my own fault. They didn't need to do anything, but they made it right anyways. It is gratifying to know that people with such good customer service are able to stay in buisness. If I could give them ten stars then I would. I don't think I will ever not leave a large tip after that night.

IT's hard to argue with beer this good, but the atmosphere just wasn't there on our afternoon stopover.

Sat at the bar during a Sunday midday. Came here for the crab cakes, which were 86ed and our server stated "we were lucky cause they're terrible"
Ordered chicken strips and pork tacos. Strips were good, but came with a "bbq" sauce which tasted like maple syrup and ketchup. Tacos were good, but the purple cabbage was under the hot pork which soaked the tortillas.
Lastly we ordered the deep fried cheesecake which took forever to arrive, even our server noticed and ran back to find it. Canned blueberries and a tough rubbery crust.
Save your money, come for the drinks.

Food is awesome tried their pizza and mac cheese - best part is their craft beer just love the awesome flavours and taste it's smooth and very light - refreshing if u are not beer drinker and wanna try beer then craft beer is way to go - if in Squamish this pub is a must - simply awesome

Beer was great. Had a great selection of small batch brews. Friendly and helpful staff but the food was beyond terrible high school cafeteria lunch. If I was the brew master I would seriously consider closing the restaurant. I could not believe they even atttempted to pair the beer to the food they served.

The restaurant/bar area gets busy but has a great vibe. Nice outdoor seating area for summer days with a view of the chief. The hotel rooms are old but clean and nice

This place is great after a hike or to watch a game and the patio has an amazing view of the Chief. It's a brewpub so I think the focus is on the quality and wide range of craft beer they have on tap. The food is pretty solid if standard bar fare, couple of nice vegetarian/vegan-izable options too!

I stop here all the time on the way back from the mountains. A great spot to wait out traffic but I've always found the service to be a little off. Seems like they are usually too busy, at least when I'm there, to check in on the table. Saying that. I will continue to stop here because I like the beer, food and location.

Amazing service. Top notch beer. Great food. It's a little pricey so go to their happy hour between 3 and 6pm Monday through Thursday for $4.50 beer and $8 wings.

Very cool place! Great choices beer. Food was just average pub food nothing exceptional. Our server forget about our beer for 15 min but everyone else's Servers seemed on top of things, was probably bad luck!

Being from Colorado we had to try all the beers...some betteer than others but its a personal taste. The pulled pork was awesome and so were the pickles...the fish and chips batter was a little to bready for my taste but the fish alone was very good....all in all well worth the stop

Everything from the menu was delicious. Some of the best beer we had in the area with plenty of options.

Went for lunch great beer selection and good burger.
Looks like they have live entertainment in the evenings. Brewery on site. Big patio.

Never fails as a go to for some local good food and beer.
