Hate's a strong word, but this is one annoying ass hostel. I'm on a floor with just 2 bathrooms for I don't even know how many people, and they're always occupied. In the rare occasion you do get to use it, your peace is disturbed every other minute by someone trying to get inside. Oh, and they have a fire alarm too. It's loud AF and it goes off all the time, at impossible hours. Evacuate the building! Evacuate the building! Man, I've got stuff to do, you know? Like I appreciate the concern for everyone's safety, but if people are too irresponsible to cook, don't let them. Let them eat instant noodles, send them off to McDonald's, go occupy their bathrooms, byeyeyeyee.

I have stayed at Trek a couple different times now and absolutely love it. The community and atmosphere are so welcoming. The staff are very helpful and laid back. Each floor has its own kitchen and bathrooms. There was a mix up with a reservation I made, but Rayssa handled it so professionally and swiftly that the stress disappeared faster then it appeared. I would highly recommend staying here while you visit Wellington.

Nice hostel... Friendly staff. The beds aren't the best, but hey, it's a hostel.

I'd say it's a good place to stay, they have a free pool table, nice kitchens on different floors. Nice 4 bed dorms in my experience

Room is clean as are bathrooms but kitchen was quite dirty. There didn't seem to be enough kitchen equipment for the amount of people in the facility.

Staff are Fabulous, quest are friendly and security do a wonderful job there...

Despite the small rooms and very soft mattresses, it is recommended for the price. There is a dining area and bathrooms on each floor.

Central, good free WiFi, not too expensive. Its Not near any loud noisy bars for sleep. No four star as not enough bathrooms and kitchen facilities where your probably be queueing for a while.

Clean and organized, very convenient to cafe, bar and restaurants and all transport services. Recommended.

If you want to meet someone people and hang out, this hostel is for you, recommend it if you are in Welly. Shout out to Thais at reception, lovely and helpful!

NOISY! Doors slamming everywhere, people partying loudly every evening until 11pm, and facilities woefully inadequate. One hob and one sink for the main kitchen?? Just ate out every day because it was a nightmare to try and cook. Could be good for a few nights if you want to party, but I have no idea how the long termers manage here.

Ive called trek my home for a few months now. The staff are super cool and helpful. Highly recommend this place.

I tried to book online and it never worked. Never received any sign that the booking was working. No email, nothing. But a day after the date I wanted to book I receive an email (the only one) saying that I didn't cancel within 24h so I ll be charged. But on my side nothing was booked.THEIR website did not work. I called explained the situation. The woman refuae to do anything and the conversation stoped. I try to call again, they didn't answer back. So don't even try booking if their website failed you ll be chargerld anyway.

I stayed here for about a week. It was clean and the staff was friendly. It's in a great location and many of the attractions are walkable. I really enjoyed the Sunday night cookout and the Monday movie night. The room had a heater which was a nice extra. I stayed in a 4 bed mixed dorm and most of my roommates were friendly. It can get noisy even late at night, but I still enjoyed my stay. Also, I liked that the rooms had lockers.

Overall a good place to say for the price.
Location was good, close to many shops, restaurants, and bars. They had tons of tourist information and you are able to rent bikes there for an affordable price. They also had a pool table and foosball table in the main area. We used the laundry services which worked well. One washer machine was broken and they had someone to come and fix it right away. Bed was comfortable. Shared areas such as bathroom, kitchen, and dining room were clean. Kitchen had plenty of appliances to use to make your own meals.
They do not have an air conditioner but they do have fans.

Reception hung up on me when I was asking some information about booking. Would ve loved to stay but obviously not with service like this.

I've been staying here since I first arrived in Wellington in May. The staff are super friendly and helpful, comfy beds and a super social atmosphere

No really the staff here are awesome! Professional, really friendly and have great cross dressing game. The trifecta! They ve always gone above and beyond for me and I think the consistently great atmosphere is in large part due to all of them...and us great guests as well

Cheap and Central. But very noisy: the tables ajoint to the kitchen were just in front of our room door! Not too clean, but that is mostly due to the guests I suppose.
