One of the best hotels in Thamel. Mostly loved by Indian guests. Has parking place and some open space in the front. The cost is moderate.
I'm a regular visitor of Nepal and this is my first choice to stay. I stayed many times here. I love this hotel especially rooms, the ambience, the restaurant and top of all the staff & hospitality. I feel awesome.
I have stayed in this hotel many times.Recently I stayed in May 18 for 4 nights, I found that services and quality have been deteriorated. Complimentary breakfast menu is reduced to less than 50%, swimming pool is dirty. Don't dare to swim or ready for skin allergies.
Hotel Vaishali is located at the heart of Kathmandu City, Nepal. It is situated one of the best location in Thamel. I spend two days in this hotel. The rooms are big enough. Its neat and clean also. But the bathroom is somehow not clean. Air conditioning system is not properly working. So the room's temperature is not comfortable.
The foods are delicious, staffs are very coperative. And they are quite friendly and helpful too. Free Wifi available here. The swimming pool is too small but nice. The hotel have a big open space. I recommend this hotel who visits Kathmandu city.
Have been staying here for my second night tonight and finding my stay very comfortable....staff is really friendly and cooperative....breakfast has been the highlight which caters to wide variety of guests.
Thanks for everything everybody nice person and smile face
Best hotel in Katmandu nice room and great breakfast .
I hope see you soon again
Best Regards

I really appreciate the staffs of vaishali for offering such a nice service to me
Dirty hotel, the lift is a death trap and it's mostly occupied by cheap uncivilized people. Don't stay here if you can afford better place.
Hotel service, security and arrangement was good enough. Stuff service r more hlepful. Room arrangement and view site from the room was so nice. I booked a double room with breakfast and I surprised after seeing their buffet breakfast arrangement on 6.30am. There so many items and choice for everyone arranged in breakfast.
This is one of the oldest hotel in Kathmandu. Food is ok but service is average considering the budget.
Good location but the rooms need a facelift. Food not so good.
Everything is nice here. Only for hot tub u just have to ask for a stopper! Else everything is up to the mark of this hotel
#wowwow always love hotel vaishali: thamel #visitnepal2020 #wowwow
Foods are ok.Room service also ok.small swimming pool.
Hotel is good but the location is so clumsy even a taxi cannot get in
It's ok but no AC no water no election & not fresh foods. Need to chang yr menu. Improv yr service. ...
I found this place pretty good. Rooms are posh and very well maintained. Their services are upto the mark. Overall recommended.
Price is very high compared to Services they provide can get half a price room with the same service in area
Room was ok but not the toilet. Very low water pressure. Bathroom looks really old
Hotel is good, staff is very cooperative and welcoming.Rooms are neat and clean. Food quality is very good.
It is very near to the airport and just take 30-35 minutes to reach there from the airport.
Our next visit will be in this hotel.
Thanks for your hospitality.
Very good place to stay, usually out of my price range but I stayed on a group tour. Spacious, clean rooms, a bit noisy as they are replacing the bathrooms. Good breakfast, nice pool and good WiFi in the rooms. Very pleasant and helpful staff, would definitely recommend. In an area surrounded by shops, bars etc but quiet as it is set back a bit.
I loved the hotel n their service is very good. Its amazing.
The service is good and there are many choices of breakfast.
I had a Comfortable stay at hotel Vaishali.. Nice rooms, good food, good service... 10 on 10 from me...
Soma Das. India
The treatment is exquisite. The staff is dejected, so that you are well. The facilities are quite good. In general I give a broad pass.
Mold in the dining room, cockroaches on the floor and buffet, the bathroom moldy and dirty, the pool area hidden and so it goes on and on
The hotel is good. Staff also very helpful . Babita who is front always support us. I recommend as it good hotel.
Nice hotel in Thamel.....lots of room for improvement
Hotel Vaishali is a magnificent hotel in Kathmandu. It's near to the world renowned Sri Pashupatinath Temple and the Sri Guhyeshwari. It's just 30-45 minutes drive from the airport. One can relax in the pool and book drinks while ur relaxing. The restaurant provides both veg and non veg menus, it's a continental breakfast ranging from bread to all sorts Indian breakfast. The Indians don't need to pay the bills in the Nepali Rupee and can pay in Indian Rupees itself. If a person is interested to go to Kailash Yaatra, then the hotel has its own tour organiser- "Touch Kailash". There is even Cloak Room facility if your going to the Kailash Yaatra and stayed in that hotel before the departure.
There are many nightclubs around the hotel if one is interested in the night life. There are many shopping centers around the hotel. You can even exchange your foreign currency to Nepal currency (not applicable for Indians).
Overall it's a good hotel and one enjoys their stay at the hotel.
Thank You
Bye
Unfortunately, the elevators were broken on arrival and the bellman overstrained. Wore our luggage to the 4th floor. The room was large and spacious with a view of the pool. In front of the window everything is full of cooing pigeons, which are lucky but locally. The food was unfortunately not very rich. The staff was very nice and tried hard
Housekeeping and room service is amazing.
At the centre of the tourists attraction.
Food was not that great in taste but good on stomach.
:-).
I mean as an Indian I expected used to more of indian masala a little more of salt and little more og Colors.
But I understand that you serve international crowd and make the dishes accordingly :-)
Good place to stay in Kathmandu Nepal. But food is not good. Bathrooms needs some changes and repairing.
Very good hotel ,Good and co-operative staff.Good location
Pleasant hotel, well-kept, friendly service, tasty breakfast. One of the better hotels in Kathmandu.
Great Services.Good food One of The Best Hotel in Thamel Kathmandu(Nepal)
Great breakfast, nice beds. The nightclub across the street stays up till 4 am. You can hear their music.
Good place to stay. Good buffet dinner too. Nice people. Though Nepal has real good people
I stayed at only two hotels in Kathmandu, and this was the lesser of the two. The free breakfast in the morning was old, repetitive, and not good in the least. The rooms were the worst part. The beds were like sleeping on a yoga mat on the floor. The showers were hot 30% of the time. The A/C ended up leaking and streaming across our floor. And the wifi was incredibly spotty. I'd have been bothered by the constant brown outs too, but that's unavoidable no matter where you are in the city. Every so often you could heard rats or mice scurrying around in the ceiling or walls. The staff worked on plumbing all throughout the day, making all sorts of noise.
The only thing I can say that is good about this place is the lobby/entry area looks nice. However, maybe instead of spending their money on first impressions, they should focus on making sure their guest's stay is pleasant.
I did a trek into the Himalayas a week before and the little teahouses were a dozen times better than here. If you're going to spend $60 (how much we paid) a night on a hotel in Kathmandu, you could do better than Hotel Vaishali.
Great place. Quiet. In the Thamel heart, but stil quiet, out of the street noise. Great proffesional service in the recepction and the restaurant. All staff really helpful. Would stay again in future.
Infront of the hotel have a dark road where night time too much risky.Someboys harrased me badly and hotel have no concern about it.I suggest you to not stay here.
