Hotel Utsikten Review

Excellent view food is superb. Staff are super friendly. Even if you just pass by its the best place for diner. Prices are ok great value for money.

Absolutely amazing view and hotel! The rooms are very small, but very clean and appear to be recently renovated (or well maintained). It's a bit sparse in the room (no tv, no frig, not much but a bed and a window). But, who needs a TV when you have this view out your window! The breakfast is small, but high quality and very delicious (it's a very standard Norwegian breakfast, but very tasty). The staff is very pleasant as well. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

We had dinner here and the food was so amazing! We ordered beef cheek and pan seared cod fish from the main menu. The fish was so fresh and flaky, you can almost taste the sea. The beef was so tender and went so well with the mash potato and sauce. All the elements came together to make it so wonderful. The portion size is good too.

We stayed in room 308. The bed was very comfortable last night. There is very good quality heating in the toilet.

This morning the breakfast was just as amazing too! All the warm food is so good. Such a big spread! The breakfast buffet spread is like a 4 or 5 star hotel, certainly not like a 3 star hotel. They have fresh ginger shots, something I never had before at a restaurant.

Anyone who comes to Geiranger fjord needs to stay and eat here! Have a look at the pictures!

Amazing view, very friendly staff, good beds, a bit worn rooms, cold bathroom. Great restaurant and breakfast.

The breakfast was great! One of the better ones I have had in Norway in similar ranked hotels. The single room is small and cozy but standard size for Norway. The view is amazing and breathtaking. It's best to stay here if you have a car as it is on the hill looking down at the Geiranger town, hence the beautiful sunset. Town is 10min drive down from the hotel.

Very old hotel, but good condition. Quiet place nice view

The first thing you notice when you arrive is the staff greet you with a genuine smile. Then you see the view from the room which must be one of the best hotel room views in the world. Then you dine in the restaurant... The food is superb. What a fantastic hotel.

The best hotel in the Geirangerfjord - it towers like an eagle's nest over the fjord - majestic view. Very kind service and great breakfast (including super fresh ginger shots!) and fantastic evening cuisine.
