Beautiful place on the palm beach. Food was delicious! (Buffet) staff very friendly. Taxi, catering and market very close. Entertaintment every day. (You gotta love that) But highly recommended. Beautiful area at the beach with palmtrees. Food was delicilous. The people very friendly! Cabs, market and restaurants nearby. Entertaintment every day. (a bit much but alright) it is really a nice hotel to go to!

Nice hotel, 96 rooms, all with a seat in front. Rooms are neat and clean, it is not super deluxe but everything is in it, including air conditioning, fridge and free safe. A few mold spots in the bathroom. Very friendly staff, beautiful beach and tropical garden at the hotel. Really recommended

Fine all in hotel with good services. One of the few All inn hotels in Gambia. Good food, and good variety, different food every day. Good rooms with everything you need

Great hotel with very friendly staff. Bungalows simply but sufficiently furnished with TV and mini fridge. Good mattresses. Beautiful gardens with daily maintenance. Restaurant is great with a variety of choices such as beef, chicken, pork and fish but also vegetarian. Red and white wine fine. Rose too sweet. Absolutely all inclusive.

Nice hotel as a starting point for a tour through the Gambia. For the standard of Gambia this hotel is very neat and clean. The pancakes at breakfast are tasty and the dinner is very good (despite the fact that they do not always have everything that is offered on the menu). The staff is friendly and willing to help you. On the beach you are often approached by the locals, they do no harm but want contact.

We have enjoyed incredibly here. Friendly staff, clean rooms and excellent food. There is a set of steps from the swimming pool to the beach. Furthermore, you don't have to worry about your things for a second, not even on the beach. The hotel staff supervises.

Nice and quiet hotel. Breakfast is not super big, but fully equipped. Evening food is also very tasty. A nice swimming pool, nice and small and overlooking the beach. Air conditioning works well in the rooms. Nice bed to lie on and everything is cleaned every day

What a lovely stay we had it this hotel. The bungalows are cozy, clean and well maintained. Also very important: the staff is extremely friendly. The AC in our room wasn t working properly, but without any hassle we were moved over to another room in minutes. My partner and I are usually not a fan of hotel-food, but at the Sunset there was nothing to complain about food-wise in our opinion. If you don t want to leave the hotel there s no reason at all to do so. We walked around quite a bit and saw lot of other accommodations in the Kotu/ Kololi area, with only the African Princess Hotel looking better or as good as the Sunset Beach Hotel. The pool area is very nice too, from where you can immediately set foot on the beach and also is the place to be around sunset having the hotel living up to it s name. The surrounding area is little bit more quiet than the Strip, but is easily accessible by a short taxi drive, which probably will cost you D360/ 7,- back and forth with some negotiating.

Small nice hotel. Solar beds in plastic on their own beach are included. The staff picks up sun beds and mattresses for you. The beach is shallow, but soft and nice. All sellers are discouraged by the two guards the hotel has. The breakfast is simple with the chef who makes your omelette according to your wishes. There is bacon and cheese, though lacking ham and salami. Several drinks with local spirits are included in the All-inclusive. Poland is very small.

Good hotel by African standards. Staff is friendly. But they are really looking forward to a tip. Food is good and more than adequate. However, don't expect huge buffets. Hotel could use a makeover. And also the rooms. Good value for money

Good location right on the beach. Neat rooms and friendly staff. Food is to do, nothing special. Operation of drinks is quite slow. The resort is within cycling distance of some tourist spots.

Poor quality hotel. Internet only in reception n at the bar, basic rooms better showers at home, but the friendly staff and location decent, beautiful view, but would suit those over 50's who dont wish to leave the resorts. I would never come back to this hotel

I stayed in this hotel for about 13 days .There is a buffet food service. The beautiful trees and plants are also excellent. The staff are excellent. There are various local dances and various entertainments.

We had a great stay, the staff were very friendly and we ate gped. If you wanted, they would fry banana pancakes, fried egg or omelet with cheese, etc. Fresh flowers in bed every day. Was great!

Very nice hotel, restaurant with terrace at the pool with sea view. People are very nice and friendly, the rooms are very clean. However some rooms have very small/simple bathrooms. When there is a problem with the power grid, the sound of the aggravate is very prominent in some rooms.

Came on a 4 day vacation with my family in October & it was a peaceful paradise. The hotel is beautiful with well maintained grounds, well mannered, friendly & helpful staff, clean serene pool and it's right by the beach. It is in a quiet part of The Gambia, Kotu, but you can pick a cab just outside the hotel to take you to whatever other parts of town you want to get to. Their breakfast was delicious with enough offerings of each item. Dinner was also great. The hotel always has different activities for the guests to participate in. I would definitely stay here again.

Been last year (before the all inclusive era) Great hotel, breakfast very good. Rooms fine. Especially the square away offers nice eateries. Only for this reason will I not go to this hotel as long as it is (only) all inclusive during the high season. This really kills the locals who 'get a bite' from the tourists with a small business. (also considering the hotel is probably not in Gambian hands). I would like to have the choice myself whether to eat an evening at the hotel restaurant or at a local tent in the area and if you book all inclusive, that is simply not the approach. Very unfortunate this choice. As soon as they offer bed and breakfast again, we will gladly go back to this place.

Well. As an Italian I can't comment on food. We all know we Italians eat differently. For the rest we can include the location of the first 5 of the 90 countries visited to date. The Gambians are courteous available and kind. Don't be fooled by the first impression ... this place is 3 times safer than any place in the west. Of course, don't forget to be in Africa. I add this place to places to visit instead of the Canary Islands. Thank you all. It was nice!
