Trafiq Review

I've only tried the cakes, but they're amazing--not too sweet and not too heavy. The Earl Grey and the Peanut Butter Chocolate were both fantastic. Very easy system of ordering cakes online through their website and going to pick up.

Food quality consistently exceeds excellent and always a nice cozy place to spend an hr or two.

Build your own sandwich all day long! Excellent cakes. The raspberry chocolate is amazing.

Our neighbourhood go to for amazing sandwiches and desserts! If you are a caramel fan you will LOVE the schnecken! Wonderful and friendly owners and staff. I take everyone that visits us from out of town here and they always love it. Kid friendly. My husband and I just adore this place!

Trafiq has been a local cafe and bakery that I have been going to for a few years. I absolutely love their sandwich plates when you eat in and their assortment of cakes. Workers there are friendly, easy to talk to, and happy to help. Any time someone asks me where to purchase a cake, Trafiq always comes to mind.

One word, rude! Disgusting behavior and poor attitude from staff, especially Shauna the owner. Nowadays service and quality go hand in hand, without the other, you won't succeed. Consumers are smarter than to pay for service that is worse than what you'll find at Mc Donald's. You're better off going to the food court.

Finally found a bakery who knows how to make great cakes! Great coffee as well. Two thumbs up

The earl grey cake was good and pretty unique but their service needs work. The few staff I dealt with weren t warm, welcoming or friendly. The cake and the pastries in store were very expensive and slightly overpriced in my opinion (so was the $4 custom writing plaque, where many bakeries do the writing for free)They could really improve by improving service and trying to reduce price or offer something to justify their high price.

Not the bit least sincere, terrible service. Whether staff or owner, they act like the own the world. Don't appreciate the condescending tone and being talked down to, utmost disrespect ever. For the quality of cakes, I can easily go elsewhere with decent and more sincere level of service.

Avoid peak mea times and weekends, it can get very hectic. Service is generally great and the owner is wonderful but I have seen one of the older women berate a younger staff for a pretty small mistake. Not a good look.

Super friendly and I love small cakes. That size is perfect for one person.

We had a delicious lunch of lemon lavender cake and a ham and cheese croissant. The cake was amazing. The sandwich was pretty good, I found the salad to be overdressed though. The seating was a bit tricky was a two year old and a stroller (my fault). They do have a great family washroom though.

Cake was a hit! High quality and delicious ingredients. Hassle-free ordering and friendly people. Most people at the part had already heard of Trafiq and it definitely exceeded expectations.

I heard that carrot cake is delicious. As you can imagine, the taste of ginseng was good, but the sweetness was perfect and it was very delicious! And the size is quite large! I was in a stomach stomach, but before I finished eating, I leaned my stomach and left it a little full.
I think the sweetness is rather sweet. I'm good at sweets, but I think it's best to eat one with two people because it's big.
I went for carrot cake purpose, but the caramel latte I ordered with it was more delicious than I imagined. When you ask for a latte, chocolate? I could choose caramel or caramel, but I chose caramel. The scent of caramel stands out the first time you drink it, and this is the first caramel latte you have ever tasted! If you like sweets, please do so!
There were several kinds of cakes so I want to go eat some other!

Tried the lemon lavender flavor and the earl grey flavor. Both are good and worth buying again!
I don't know what's the frosting made of but I feel it's something close to buttercream. The cake was a little heavy as an after-meal dessert but great for afternoon tea/coffee!

Came in for the hot chocolate festival feature, both delicious. Deserts were also fresh, inventive and yummy. Loved it!

I love Trafiq! They have a nice selection of cakes and sweets that you can never go wrong with. Quality is consistent, staff are friendly. I love their maple coffee cake and get it every time! :) Highly recommend this little local bakery.

Very long lineup but it always moved, so your wait wasn't long. Was there for the hot chocolate festival and both flavours were excellent. Would do again

Hands down one of the best places to get a slice of cake (or the whole one)! Ther cakes and pastries are out of this world.

High quality cakes (big wedge) and grilled sandwiches (their own bread). Everything we had tasted very fresh. Service was friendly, experienced. Busy and high energy. Definitely recommend.

Best iced americano I had in a long time, with good taste and texture. Their mushroom ciabatta is good too. However, I tried their avocado toast with egg souffle but that wasn't fresh nor tasty. I'd recommend sticking to coffee and sweet treats. I always had friendly service here.

This place impressed me. There was clearly a good attention to detail in everything, from the food to the menu to the decor. I'll have to come back at Christmas time because apparently they make their own egg nog. Yum.

Delicious. We've done several of our birthday cakes from Trafiq, and honestly it's delicious . The earl grey ganache is one if my faves, but then the lemon is also Incredible! Ah have fun trying to pick a favourite, but either way you won't regret going to trafiq

Wonderful cakes, both individual and 6"-8" in size. A good amount of seating in a bright space. Friendly staff and they donated a cake to the charity I was volunteering for, so that was a big check for them.

A very nice Cafe place. The early grey chocolate cake was amazing. It was full of flavour and the aroma of the early grey was tasted throughout the cake. The slice of cake was also of a decent size and can be shared. Will definitely try other cake slices next time.

First impressions are everything, and Trafiq certainly surpassed my expectations from the moment we walked in! It had a nice modern Parisian feel to the interior and their menu offers some really unique delicious treats and sandwiches. We had an avocado toast and breakfast quesadilla, and the flavours and textures were so well-balanced and pleasurable to eat. Probably the best, most satisfying cafe food in Vancouver for me. Their coffee is also excellent and well made. The staff were efficient, attentive and cleared tables quickly. I am happy to see a place so well-run. I will be coming back regularly to try out the rest of their menu and have never been so excited to return to a cafe! :) Thanks for the great experience!

Delicious! One of the best salted caramel cake in town! Must try!

Tried the Pumpkin Pie Latte along with the bacon quiche and soup of the day. Very delicious!

Nutella banana bread with whipped Nutella butter. Incredible cakes. Excellent coffee. Huge cookies. Flavour-packed sandwiches. Go often and try everything.

Their cakes are well-priced, and they've never disappointed. The salted caramel is out of this world!

Shauna was rude, fake and arrogant. Sad to be mismanaged by unprofessionals. Her pride goes before customers' needs and anything else. She is incapable of customer service.

Definitely best place to go for lunch. The schneken, breakfast torta, avacoado smash and their cold chai is delicious!!!!! I am sure everything is good but I never try anything else lol.

The cakes are definitely the best seller for me. I always come here to order personalized birthday cakes, the price is quite cheap for the level of quality and flavours they offer.

Delicious cakes of all sizes (love the mini ones) and amazing hot drinks and sandwiches. They are one of the best stops of the Hot Chocolate Festival. My only wish is that it was bigger inside since it s always packed.

They make great lattes and the food is wonderful. I usually order either the avocado smash toast or quesadilla. The staff are also very friendly and I enjoy the laid back atmosphere.

Cakes were great, but service was not that friendly. Feel like they didn t want to work, or tired of doing the same things.

The place has delicious pasty made in the back. There is a glass door you can look through to see them working away. Cakes bread all the goods.
I had a slice of the chunky monkey. Mmmm. And the coffee is as well balanced. Over all this is a comfy place worth checking out.

I came to try out their hot chocolates for the festival.

I normally don't like banana, but found that flavour very unique. The nuts were a bit weird to have in the drink. The chunky monkey came with the banana hot chocolate and it was my first time having one. It was strange and doughy.

Overall I liked the coconut better. My favorite part was the nanimo bar that came with coconut hit chocolate. It was my first time having one that was so yummy, soft and with just the right amount of sweetness.

Ok coffee ok pastry, dont think I'll be visiting again.

Bought the Earl Grey cake for a bday; everyone loved it and talked about how good the cake was! Definitely will go back to the cafe for the full experience

We always come here for slices of cake for birthdays and sometimes just a sweet treat. I finally tried out their new tiramisu and the chocolate decadence on this occasions as well as a repeat of their earl grey and lemon lavender. we love the lemon as it seems to be the lightest one and the earl grey flavour as well! I love the chocolate decadence even though i found it a little bit too heavy and sweet as the layers of chocolate mousse to cake were uneven (way too much mousse). The tiramisu on the other had was amazing. I think i like the original one from last time more but there is an ample amount of coffee flavour, layers of delicious cake and was not too sweet! The cakes here NEVER FAIL TO PLEASE!

Best sandwiches in town. Great drinks. Cakes to die for. Amazingly friendly staff. I can't say enough positive things about Trafiq.

Their cake slices are huge and to die for! I recently tried their sandwiches, which were also delicious! The service is very warm and welcoming! :-)

Update. Will change it to 3 stars now. This is because every time I go there and want to order; I hear their cinnamon bun is sold out.
Otherwise still worth a visit and still a good default spot to grab coffee and a bite or two to eat.

Great place, came here at least 3 times and will keep coming back.

I wish I could rate you guys higher but your cake quality is absolutely not acceptable for the price you are charging. I expect a $35 cake not to taste like some cheap cake I get from a cheap supermarket and unfortunately that is exactly how the base of your cake tastes like.
You have a nice touch on the topping you add but it cannot hide the poor quality of the actual cake underneath. You need to change your source for the base or get someone who knows baking better to fix this for you.
One more thing contributing to the poor quality is the excessive switness which some argue is subjective but I don't think any serious cake lover would appreciate it.
I should say that the decoration is good inside. Nice staff. I have not tried anything else other than the earl grey cake.
I really hope you guys improve on the cake quality and raise the bar for others too.

I had the pleasure of ordering 2 cakes from Trafiq we bought the Lemon Lavender and the Exotique for a office birthday party. They were amazing tasty light moist very rarely do we have cake so light and delicious I had 2 pieces we highly recommend Trafiq and I will definitely be ordering our office cakes from here in the future!

I ordered the "homage to earl gray" cake and it was absolutely delicious!! As someone who isn't a huge fan of earl gray tea, I was surprised at how much I loved this cake. The cake was also decorated beautifully (as were the other cakes).
They also offer personalized plaques for your cakes if you order 24 hours ahead of time, which I will definitely take advantage of next time! The plaques are a little pricey ($4/ea) and the whole cakes are also a little pricey compared to cakes I usually buy, but they taste wonderful.

The service was really nice and the older women made sure I was helped which I really appreciated.

The cake itself in my opinion was all that amazing. The taste was a bit awkward for my pallet. But the cake itself was cooked and presented nicely.

A good little cafe. Tasty sandwiches and baked goods. Expect about $10-12 for lunch.

Trafiq is known throughout the community for their friendly customer service and their beautiful cakes (the Homage to Earl Grey is my favorite) but I was recently introduced to their pies.

Going into Thanksgiving, my wife and I got a pumpkin pie from Trafiq; I hadn't noticed it on the menu prior, so it could be a holiday treat. I eat a lot of pies and this was honestly the best pumpkin pie I have had. The crust was perfect and the filling was not overpowering but so tasty. Firget the plates, my wife and I literally ate it out of the box.

Signature item is the Earl Grey cake and its taste was nothing at all like Charles Grey (1830's prime minister of London) but rather a bold orange flavor many have sipped in a tea then infused into the cake. Another one to sample or purchase is London Fog Cake. This went over well at the red ticket gala event and intimate birthday party I hosted.
