The Spa area is in need of a facelift. Wouldnt bother with the Spa area here. Some rooms have been redercorated and it is probably worth the extra for a better room. Breakfast are good but if room is required for a function it will be halved with partition and will leave the breakfast area small and difficult to find a seat. Great location.

Cozy hotel, new plant. They are renewing it inside. We were in a suit with a view to the port, a few days before they had opened it to the public.

This is honestly the best holiday hotel we could have asked for. It's close enough to everything. The breakfast here is to die for with complimentary champagne and an assortment or options to eat. The staff here were amazing and done everything we needed. If your thinking about staying here please just book it. Its definitely worth it... thank you so much for our stay and we will definitely be back 10/10

Rooms were extremely warm during our visit in March 18. We were sweating! Temperature difference between the hotel bedrooms and outside is at least 6-8 degrees if not more!! My baby was sweating!
We were informed that no air-conditioning is allowed until the summer season!
We were asked to pay 20 per person to use the swimming pool and gym! Apparently, the hotel doesn't have own these facilities and they are using the other hotel swimming pool, gym...etc.! This wasn't mentioned in the hotel description when we booked our holiday via Travel Republic! Will be contacting Travel Republic as we were very disappointed!
I was very satisfied with the level of the hotel, ideal location in the center.
The staff were very helpful, the breakfast was great with plenty if choice, the bedrooms were speedily cleaned and made up, the interior looked like it had a makeover and we had free use of the spa facilities. The only downside was we didn't get the room we booked with the view they were using to attract guests. This annoyed me the entire holiday and it took a bit of a shine off my hotel and holiday. I did confront them on this producing my confirmed reservation. I was told I was upgraded and repositioned to the rear of the hotel. So no view of the marina. This really could only be seen from the 3rd, 4th and 5th floors, there was a casino and discotec blocking the views from the 2 lower floors. The outside of the building needed a little TLC with tiles broken or weathered, pallets lying about and dirty perspex on the covered pool. A little attention can fix all of these but one. So come on Sercotel put a little effort in to remedying these few problems.

Rooms that do not correspond to hotel of this category, with bathrooms and furniture of category 3 stars, lack of care in cleaning, deficient. Ridiculous spa, with excess of people and entrance of children at any time, so you can not relax, we were only 1 time, discrimination to use outdoor pool and solarium, despite being visible from the rooms, at least from the "premiun", only access for clients of rooms "suites", and although we wanted to reserve one, there was no availability, and we had to reserve "premium" type, because they did not even assure us a double bed in a "standard", by far Important price, only for a double bed. They do not change the sheets every day, we had to call at 2 in the morning to reception, because despite having made the bed, they had not changed the sheets and had sand in it, dirty glasses, like one of the cups of PLASTICO , for infusions. Parking arranged next to the hotel, expensive and an organizational disaster. Very poor breakfast. Very small balcony. The only thing we found very positive is the hotel location environment, and from the room we were, we could hear the sea, and it was very relaxing at night, but for 505 the 4 night stay, with breakfast ... Would you pay?

I like this hotel. Didn't stay as I was booked in next door but well jealous of the person in our party who did. I would recommend this hotel over Melia any day!
The noise from the rooms seem to be well sound proofed that you dont hear anything.

Bad cleaning. We asked for it to be cleaned again, but when we got back it was the worst roof, but there were still dents in the corners and shelves that had not been dried - especially the mini-fridge was extremely disgusting.
The breakfast buffet had a great selection, but everything was very boring and we ended up eating only one morning.
The spa had an expensive extra charge and even the pool table cost extra to use.
Everything was worn and old and my girlfriend slipped out on the edge of the bed several times during the night because it was worn out.
Room service listened only half past and despite us repeateding ourselves several times to make sure they understood, we ended up having to bring a pizza with meat - which we hadn't asked for - up to the room. The food was of mediocre quality.
The location was really good and the receptionists were helpful and friendly, but if we come to Alicante again, we will choose the neighbor hotel which looked significantly newer and more welcoming and available at the same price ...

I quite liked the hotel, simple, clean, very nice. The terraces with very nice views of the sea. On the other side is the port and they are also beautiful views. Near the hotel there are many shops and places to eat.
The hotel staff are very friendly and very grateful to Javier from reservations, for helping us with a reservation that we made wrong, and he helped us with the reservation. Eternally grateful.
There is public parking that is very comfortable, because the area is very difficult to park.

The hotel ad promises too much, there is no swimming pool. The spa and indoor are not a hotel but a separate spa that costs 20 per person.
A Saturday morning retreat of ours, whilst never having stayed at the hotel itself we do use the cafeteria bar and the restaurant. After the hustle and bustle of the city itself and its cafes this is so very tranquil. Also for me sitting in a certain position in the cafeteria and looking out of the window is akin to being at sea looking out from the window of a cruise ship. Staff are all very friendly and most importantly for me the place is clean.
The Sea suites are without a doubt one of the best rooms I've been to.

A very pleasant and slightly upscale hotel in the heart of Alicante. Our room (the junior suite deluxe sea view) was very large and modern with a very comfortable king sized bed and big lounge that could be partitioned from the bedroom. The bathroom was also large and modern with two sinks, a large shower, and a separable water closet with toilet and bidet. There was plenty of storage space with three closets. The views are spectacular from the ocean side rooms with a great view of the Postiguets beach from the balcony. Just sitting on the balcony hearing the crashing waves and looking out to sea was worth the extra cost of the ocean view room. The breakfast buffet is very good with plenty of options. The hotel location is perfect with many great attractions a short walk away.
Unfortunately, there are some caveats to all the positives.
Parking is not free and is not very convenient. There are two small discounted lots in the building itself which fill up very quickly so it's very hard to park there. The easiest option is across the street in the underground lot which is 24 Euros a day.
The covered swimming pool and spas are actually a separate facility which you will need to pay for unless you book a room with the hydrotherapy circuit included. Unfortunately the spas and pools are very underwhelming for a hotel of this caliber.
The beach is a much more attractive alternative. If you need towels for the beach they require a refundable 10 Euro deposit per towel.
There is also another more affluent hotel in the same building with a much nicer spa and pool. This is the Sercotel Suites Del Mar. You do not get access to this hotel's facilities from the Spa Porta Maris with the Hydrotherapy circuit!
There is a small coffee maker and fridge in one of the closets. Unfortunately, the mini fridge is full of items to purchase so it's of no use to the guest.
The views from the room are spectacular. All very neat and good measurements by the covid. There is hydroalcoholic gel everywhere. Very friendly staff. To repeat.
Was a nice relaxing day due to the customer service of the hotel, got a nice room with view on the sea (see pics). Reception (Ruben) was very helpful and professional with the check-in. The room had a very nice view on the sea, but only sun in the morning. The room size was just big enough for a junior suite. Breakfast was very ok and the staff even made me a pan catalan. Too bad did not had the time to use the Spa facilities as they looked very enchanting. Overall good but just missing a bit to get to the next level (stayed on the 2nd floor, room 225).
The room and the bed were very large and clean, the bathtub with jacussi, the very large terrace and overlooking the sea. Good breakfast buffet service and reception

A hotel with beautiful views of the sea ... and especially in these dates of San Juan ... where you can see the bonfires of Postiguet beach and the fireworks of the same beach, as if you were on a boat.
We spent 5 days (5-10 FEB) in this beautiful hotel.
Everything was perfect: suite, breakfast, service (especially the lady responsible for breakfast), bar, sauna, swimming pool, ...

The hotel is very good, both the location and the room are worthy of a 5 star rating. But the reality is that I wanted to value only the spa and I don't want to give the hotel a lower value because it would not be Fair.
If my assessment were for the spa I would give it 2 stars, I thought it was very small for the people who were there, and the guy at the entrance has the nerve to say that the security measures are that we keep 1.5m between us ..., but if we couldn't fit in the pool !! In addition, the temperature both outside the water and in the changing rooms was very cold.
I found it very poor for what I expected. Needless to say, the prices of the massages, which are already wanting to do one ...
The summary, 3 jets, a fountain, a sauna, logically closed, 4 showers and a bottle per person.
Very disappointing for us.
I really liked the treatment they gave me, I would go again.

Absolutely loved our 4 night stay here . Had a complimentary bottle of fiz for my 50th birthday which was much appreciated .only down fall was we wasn't allowed to relax in the outside pool , we had to upgrade ..perfect location , right on the sea front and only a 5 min walk to Alicante town .. perfect weekend xx
