We booked for 4 nights and someone broke into the room. Someone stole the key to the room and broke both luggages we had. We managed to report it to the police and the hotel management responded by covering our loss and put our room nights as FOC. The hotel itself is a building full of history. The breakfast hall has that old world charm and they also have a conference hall that is very beautiful versatile for any business meeting or dinner gathering. In case you want to have meals at the hotel, we can say the price is fair and the options are comforting. We gave 3 stars because of the experience but if nothing happened we would definitely rate this 5 stars.

This hotel is a beauty. The staff is superior and very accommodating. The location is in the heart of this magnificent city. The rooms are very spacious for Europe and has every amenity available. Definitely a 5 Star Hotel. The bar is gorgeous and prices are very reasonable.

Nice, historical hotel in the middle of the centre. If you come by car let the hotel know and they will make arrangements to enter the ZTL. To reach the hotel by car navigate to the Viale Leopoldo Nobili and follow the "Posta" signs.

Difficult to reach. Friendly staff. I don't know how live suites are. Took normal room which I found clean and livable. Given the location in the evening there is noise until late. If you want to sleep and suffer from noise, double windows must be closed. For the rest it is fantastic because reggio is fantastic.

Very good hotel, ideally located in the centre of the old city with shops and restaurant around. Hotel staff /reception very helpful and courteous...Perfecto

Cleaning and impeccable services. Ideal localization, one could say in the geometric center of the city. Every monument, a tourist, gastronomic and commercial attraction is close at hand, also thanks to the large size of the historic center. I didn't try the buffet breakfast, so I can't proceed to give full marks.

Captain's Palace (1280). Beautiful hotel, it is said to be the oldest in Europe, in fact, since 1500 in activity. It overlooks Piazza del Monte, a strategic point for those wishing to experience the historic center. It also has mini apartments in the annex located behind the Town Hall

4 star central historical hotel. A sixteenth-century structure, furnished in a retro style, classic rooms, sometimes high, furnished with "almost" everything. Difficult to reach by car due to the ztl, I recommend parking outside the walls. Good breakfast, although more continental than Italian. Fair prices.

A paradise, a journey through history and a beautiful place on rich buildings of Reggio Emilia

Historic hotel located in the exact center of Reggio Emilia. Ideal location for visiting the city. Friendly, helpful staff, clean and large rooms. A bit heavy in the interiors but reflects the sixteenth-century style that was given to the building in the restoration of the early 1900s.

Hotel is in a great location in the city center. Rooms are large and spacious. Parking is an absolute pain, I do not recommend staying here if you have a car and plan to drive every day. The room I was in needed soundproof windows, it was very noisy all evening.

A little difficult to get to this place while driving, lots of one-way roads. Rooms were nice and clean. Wish there were face towels. The front desk was extremely helpful and recommended the best restaurant for dinner. Breakfast buffet was good, but there was a large tour group there so you had to act quick to get food. The location was great (besides driving), very close to all kinds of restaurants and shopping.

For work reasons I stayed in Reggio Emilia in this marvelous building of the 15th of November 2017. Large room, equipped with any comfort and overlooking the main square of the city. Those who need to reach the Hotel by car can easily do so also because the structure has an internal garage (12.00 euros to be added to the one in the rooms).

This is a down at heel and shabby hotel. It is in a great location but clearly has seen better days. The staff have a terrible attitude to guests. The breakfast buffet was the worst we had in Italy. The room decorations were terribly out dated to the point of being comical. The amenities in the hotel are poor and the bar closes very early. The room was noisy too. Avoid this hotel.
