Very beautiful and characteristic historical place. Very friendly staff.

It would be 10 stars, in one of the most beautiful cities in Italy .... but which is unfortunately experiencing an inexorable degradation, too bad !!!!

The beautiful building that houses the town hall of Reggio Emilia has an eighteenth-century room inside, called Sala del Tricolore, where the first tricolor of the Cisalpine Republic was adopted, from which the current flag of the Italian Republic derives. The hall dates back to 1768 by the architect Lodovico Bolognini.

I really enjoyed going through the porch to see its interior

The Sala del Tricolore on the ground floor and the related museum on the 1st are worth the visit (free). Pay attention to the (restricted) access times.
