A unique, boutique hotel on the 3rd floor of a building, comfortable but slightly small room, excellent breakfast. Staff here are very attentive and kind. And they make awesome cappuccino.

On our recent trip to Rome we had the pleasure of staying at the Oceania. In fact, we enjoyed it so much we ended up staying there twice for a total of 15 nights. Our room and en suite bathroom was large, well kept and quiet. The cleaning staff did a great job every day and when I was fighting a bit of a cold they volunteered extra pillows to prop me up so I could watch TV. The TV had the option on several channels that would switch to original language giving me breaks from my trying to learn Italian. The breakfast is a basic continental that got the job done with excellent coffee. The staff of Kyra, Anna, Cristine and Roberto were friendly and very helpful when in need. We liked the Hotel Oceania so much we started to refer to it as our Home in Rome and would definitely stay there again. I do have to admit one thing I wished for was a toaster in the breakfast room. Although I do understand that finding a place for it would be difficult. All in all we've stayed at more expensive places and received much less. If you're on a budget like we were, this is an excellent choice.

Well located hotel, near the Trevi Fountain (10 min walk), and the central station Termini (10 min too). Spacious rooms but average soundproofing whether with the street or the hallway. The bathroom is well equipped but the ceiling paint crackled and dropped slightly in the shower. Original hotel because occupies a floor of an old building, it feels a little frozen in the past.

Lovely rooms, good service and a nice area. Breakfast is a bit basic, but still tasty.

Hotel is not at ground floor, but about four floors up. Does give nice views, but confusing when you first arrive.

Very nice hotel. The hotel is on the 3rd floor, but there is a lift in the center hallway. The staff were helpful and friendly. The room we had was clean and neat. It was a great set up for us as we had our four year old son with us. The location is good, near many restaurants, shops, and train station.

Excellent Option for a great price. Location is excellent for walking to most tourist attractions and close to the metro that takes you to the Vatican. The service was great and the rooms nice enough with air conditioning. Recommend it

It even has 2 stars. It's not far from the pictures. Old windows and old doors that do not close tightly and AC heating (so the air becomes dry). But nice staff and a consistent breakfast.

Beautiful, enviable position.

Beautiful, enviable position.
The feature that makes this hotel special is the kindness and availability of all the staff, we felt at home with friends and not just customers.

Safe, convenient, charming place. Excellent breakfast. Warm and welcoming staff. As Sri Lankan tourists in our first visit to rome, we found this place amazing. Bonus : You hear tenors and sopranos singing/ practicing for a church sometimes in the evening if you open your widows!

Very disappointing. The room is dirty. The fabric walls are stained with what appears to be hand oil. One of our pillows reeks of body odor. No hot water...it's only lukewarm. We paid 144 and it isn't worth 50.

Small hotel atypical, super charming, with a warm welcome. The little refreshment on the terrace before going to bed after all the visits was very pleasant. Thanks to Kira and the whole team of the hotel our family loved staying at your place. David Stephanie Julie and Thomas

Immersed in a picturesque and comfortable environment! Rooms and very elegant structure, really nice staff. A stone's throw from Termini station and Piazzale Repubblica, in an instant you are everywhere in Rome! Highly recommended.

Hotel is near the train terminal. Rooms are nice. Would have been nice to have coffee and tea available in room. Shower is small and had inconsistent water temperature. Staff were nice.

Very unique hotel on the 3rd floor above a church. No sign because it's a historical district. Ring the bell to be admitted, and ride the tiny elevator to get to the lobby. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Lovely breakfast included.

There is an elevator, that I swear took us to the wrong floor twice. The rooms are nice, the doors and keys need some updating. The bathroom was nice, with a lovely shower. Cable tv, which after a long hot day in Rome, was actually a comfort. It is in a lovely location, you can walk to the metro station, or down the hill to the Forums and Victor Emanuel; however that uphill walk back, sucks the life out of you.

The hotel is clean, the rooms are comfortable and spacious, the bathroom is small but functional. The staff is very kind and available. The location is strategic both for those arriving from Termini and for those who want to get around Rome on foot.
It is by no means a two-star hotel and the entire structure has that retro and refined taste.
I also had my little dog with me who was welcomed with open arms. In short, for whatever reason you choose to be in Rome, it is worth staying here!

I traveled alone to Rome and felt very safe at this establishment. The staff spoke English and were very friendly. My hotel room was always clean and comfortable. The room was quiet and I had everything I needed. The hotel offered a car to the airport for a small fee and worth it.
I definitely recommend this hotel!

I would go back for the location, the welcome and the cleanliness. More than decent breakfast, a little lacking in the bathroom (especially with regard to the shower) where there is no support for soap sponge cap and / or whatever and, at least for the room I occupied, a bit cramped.

Ok little hotel right in the center. My 4/5 star rating is based on the fact that this is a 2-star hotel where you get pretty much compared to stars. Located on the 4th floor (3 local calculations). Only a small lift for 3 people. Ok Wi-Fi 10/10. Safe in room but too small for Laptop. 2 sockets in the room. Nice service. Starts getting a little worn. Not duvet, but the sheets on the beds (even in April). Has AC. Very simple breakfast (two cold cuts, one cheese, jam. Not hot food.) Also has a kind of bar function one can use.

Very good hotel, great location. You're just a few blocks away from the train station, and just about 10 minutes away from the main historic attractions in Rome. You can find places closer to the historic district, and you can find places closer to the train, but Oceania offers great options for both!

You can tell that they cater to tourists: rooms are very nice, the hotel is very clean, the staff is very friendly. We needed to do laundry, and the bathroom was a great size to do that in. It really has everything that you need in a hotel, and they are very accommodating. They also have a 24 hr concierge service, which is really nice. Few things to note:

1) The elevator is tiny, but they DO have one!
2) You can elect to stay there pre-paying for breakfast, or you can pay for 15 Euros per room. I recommend not pre-paying, because there are plenty of great cafes very close to choose from.
3) The hotel is located a bit off the beaten path, and around many other hotels, so it's a nice walk, and I didn't ever feel unsafe.

Nice and clean room, great location, nice and nice staff. However cold in the room due to a broken window that remained open and during the stay there was no hot water one morning. Sin.

It is nice place, perfect location for anyone who would like to explore ancient city. The hotel is located in the 3rd floor, the lift is small and in old, climate style. Breakfast is very small, the choice is really limited just boiled egg, ham, yellow cheese, bread and sweet jam, honey and fruits. No veges, no white cheese, nothing Italian. The room is quite small and quite noisy but clean as well as bathroom, bed was also comfortable. In the room there is no tea or coffee. The staff wete helpfull and kind.

After two weeks of calling and emailing, they finally responded to my request for a change in the dates of our stay. I have stayed here twice before and it is a nice hotel but needs to work on its communication.

Centrally located hotel, 15 minutes walk from the train station.

Very nice building with many nice details.
The hotel is located on the third floor and there is also a courtyard.

The decor is a bit older but elegant. Walls covered in fabric and carpet on the floors. The breakfast was included in the price and offered the most common you can imagine, nothing advanced.

Friendly staff!

good value for money, the room was comfortable and clean.
Extremely nice and helpful staff.
The breakfast and some details could be improved (eg in the shower, which was large and clean, the shelf for shampoo and soap was missing).
The location is strategic for visiting Rome and is close to Termini station.
In any case, to judge the quality of a stay you have to ask yourself if you would gladly return to that place, my answer is yes

Only good thing about it is the location.. everything in 2km radius of the hotel. Breakfast was most disappointing. Only bread and cornflakes. If you are Early then choose your uncut fruit.

We stayed at Oceania for three nights occupying two rooms: a double single use and a triple one. The location is great, between Via Nazionale and Via delle Quattro Fontane, so convenient to Termini, Piazza Venezia, Piazza di Spagna. The Via Firenze is very quiet as the buildings in the vicinity are without shops and clubs. The facade of the building of the Hotel is very beautiful, just as one cannot say for the entrance hall, the stairs, the landings and above all the elevator which is very old, tiny and shabby. These defects are not attributable to the Hotel, as Oceania occupies only the third floor of the building, but unfortunately the Customer perceives a set of details and cannot differentiate between condominium and hotel. The reception is non-existent as it consists of a small desk on which all administrative operations are carried out. The common areas are almost nil, just a small room with a sofa, chairs and an equipped audio / video area. Customers can find some tables with bar service on the outdoor landing that joins the two "wings" of the hotel, in practice two separate rooms where the corridors with the rooms are located. All this gives the feeling of a bed and breakfast rather than a full-scale hotel. That being said, the rooms are not large but well furnished, clean and efficient. The corridor in which we stayed housed only our two rooms and was therefore very quiet, great to rest coming back from long tourist walks. In one room the handle of a window was broken, in the other the floor lamps fixed to the sides of the double bed were broken. In both rooms the keys to the cabinets were missing so that the doors had to be opened with nails. Beautiful curtains and upholstery coverings. Good beds and the rest of the furniture. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We appreciated the availability of baggage for a whole day after check-out. Breakfast is poor: although tea, coffee, cappuccino and good quality juices are available, the buffet is the triumph of packaged biscuits and jams. It would be advisable to provide fresh and less bleak foods. Overall, and given the rates, Oceania is an excellent two-star hotel that has its strengths in the rooms, in the position and in the professionalism of the service.

Central and a step away from Termini station. A valid ally for any business trip, or a short stay in the Italian capital.
Spacious rooms with "retro" furnishings.

Lovely classic hotel in old Rome, not far from the train station and close to nice restaurants and mini-supermarkets. Staff is friendly and there is a lift. Check out Rick Steves for more info & pics.

Very well managed hotel near the train station, and.within walking distance to sightseeing areas, shopping and restaurants. I spent a week here and was very comfortable. Coffee and a good breakfast are served every morning. Friendly and clean.

An unusual entry (front desk reception on the 3rd floor) was soon forgotten by the friendly and extremely helpful staff. The room was small, but we'll appointed and the bathroom was excellent.
the location within an 8-10 euro taxi ride to the major attractions and a short walk (15 mins walk from central train station) to some of the best restaurants of the trip made us sad to leave our little home in Rome.

Even considering the quality / price ratio it is really an excellent structure (my evaluation takes into account the offer that Booking has proposed to me). The style is very classic and elegant. The strengths are the location (easily reachable on foot from the Termini station), the availability and kindness of the reception staff (young and always smiling kids), the cleanliness and quality of the rooms. I put one star less just because the bathroom in my room was really small (I struggled to wash my face without letting out water) and the first night there was no hot water. I would also suggest a bit of background music in the breakfast room where otherwise, with five / six people in a small space immersed in silence, the situation is likely to be a bit scary. Overall, however, I am very satisfied. Thank you.
