Fondation Louis Vuitton - Restaurant Le Frank Review

We arrived at the transition to "tea time", a limited afternoon menu. That was fine - we merely wanted drinks and a pastry after a long wait in line to enter the building. I'm not sure if the cause was the transition or something else, but our wait for service and for delivery of our selections was quite long. One convenient thing was that we didn't have to wait for a check to be delivered; a numbered disc was left on our table, and I took the number to the bar to pay. The drinks and pastry (a stylized lemon tart) were fine but I doubt that we would visit again.

It s the restaurant of the Louis Vuitton foundation. The Frank named after the architect Frank Gehry who designed the building.

A word of advice, remember to reserve your table in advance. The foundation is very busy and very large, but the restaurant is relatively small. Without a reservation, you can spend an hour waiting in line.

The decoration with the illuminated fish suspension and the old LV trunk gives a nice touch to the space separated by a palisade of wooden battens from the rest of the exhibition spaces.

The food is friendly and very good. The formulas allow you to have a tasting of small dishes. The addition may seem expensive for some scholarships. Avoid if you have a quick lunch budget.

This is the second time I have come. The first time, the foundation was without exhibition. So it was more relaxed, we had no remorse at staying at the table a bit. Today, seeing the line that was waiting, we went straight after our coffee.

Particular attention to our waitress who was very friendly and fun. I forgot to ask her for her first name, so I can't recommend her to you.

Eat under art work of frank ghery in a building designed by frank ghery. Food is good but service is non existence. As long as you have no expectation of service you will be happy. Outdoor seating available weather permitting.

The decor is great, especially the fish roof of Frank Gerhy!
The service is bad because tragically long and so careless with the feeling of indisposing servers.
As for the uninteresting and cold dishes! Only dessert, pear
Shchukin has us more.
In conclusion, this is a missed appointment from the Vuitton Foundation and the Michelin-starred chef to whom she has entrusted the responsibility.

Extremely disappointed !! I was really expecting better prices ... The service is very long and not organized at all. The dishes were nothing exceptional ... the feeling of being had. Too bad the place was good for a refined restaurant

Style, design and hot chocolate !!! In this sublime Vuitton foundation, a very select tea room, inspired by travels ... (well-known trunks are fixed to the walls) a school of fish shivers above our heads. The gray leather card with the logo "le Franck" announces the color we will feast !! Do not miss the delicious hot chocolate, creamy, and deserts, ... Good banana Wahrol is a bit expensive, 14 for a pleasure both taste and art, why not after all! Before leaving to discover the latest expos ... It's been 10 crazy we go, we do not get tired! Thank you Mr. Gehry for creating this wonder.

Apart from the decor which is true is pretty cool, the restaurant is, and I weigh my words, mediocre. The dishes are correct but extremely expensive. the deplorable service. Apart from the various oversights of the trim styles that must be asked three times to finally end up with a cold trick, it is the lack of politeness on the part of the servers that most denotes with the image that seeks to return the Mark. The best memory that I keep of the meal is the supplement of three euros to have sauce on a Cesar salad.

A poor value. The sea bass was flavorless , the service poor. The presentation pretentious . Easily the worst meal I have ever had in Paris.

Very good fresh and inventive cuisine with a special note for dessert. However the service is deplorable, it is a pity.

While the place is superb (but not so well placed that) we are at Franck (Gehry) but we expect more and better for the price. Finally, depending on your budget, it is better to have lunch in the amusement park and see the Foundation by far. Guaranteed show.

This is not my kind of poster that kind of opinion but here I really want people do not behave like us during our last visit.
So the Franck is what:
- A room rather bistro category (small square tables you know)
- The prices of a starred restaurant
- A kitchen edible but without originality
- Servants incompetent (yes I weigh my words) and as if that was not enough in addition they are haughty!
a note of 170 for three that remains across the throat ...
Anecdote original: the server has changed during a meal ... he asked us if we wanted a dessert (desert ordered at the beginning of meal ;-)). So the opportunity was too good to tell him we would not take dessert!
In short, if during a delicious visit to the foundation vuitton it makes you want to take a meal break, buy a sandwich!

Unable to access the restaurant unless you buy a 14 euro ticket to the exhibition . Not surprised it's empty !

The service is incredibly bad, the staff snooty. My friend, who is suffering from Parkinson's, cannot sit at a table despite requests, since we only drink coffee and this is only possible on the bar stool at the bar, even though many tables were free. This was shortly after the opening and I apologized with starting difficulties. But last Saturday I was there with my grandson, we order a bottle of water, an orangina and a cappuccino, it is served to our adjoiners, the gentleman eats the biscuit and sips the cappuccino, I draw the attention of the waiter to the fact that this is our order , of course he takes the drinks and puts them in front of us, only after my protest I get a fresh cappuccino. Then lunch, queues for a table, order is taken: children's menu & waterfall, water and orangina. The waitress brought something, unfortunately not what was ordered. Drinks only come after repeated inquiries. Then Waterfall is served and something that is unfortunately not the children's menu. My grandson and I wanted to eat together, but have eaten one after the other. Pity! But there are alternatives in the park.

Ridiculous prices, long wait, rude unfriendly service.

The food was very good, we had the Garden, a combination of small salads and soup with desert and coffee. The service was friendly. Not cheap indeed.

The service is close to rude. They ignore you while you wait to be seated, they ignore you some more while waiting to order (after you have indicated you need to catch the next tour) and they pretty much ignore you when you walk away fed up with their snobby attitude. At their exorbitant prices ( 7 for a cup of cappuccino), I would expect much better service...

Excellent and very chic place! Perfectly fitting for Louis Vuitton. Expensive fare but wonderful and delicious. However, it is very important to sit inside as the outdoor seating is not nearly as charming and service is slower.

All in all, I really enjoyed this meal!

They have exclusivity on the site so not too much choice to go elsewhere

Contemporary cuisine, refreshing in a pleasant setting

The meal feels very meticulous, very good, but the amount is really small, it feels like Japanese cuisine, fried shrimp, ceviche, but the content is not as good as eating in the city, some packages have coffee and dessert, there are No.

Very nice food. But the service is extremely slow, there's a queue to enter and once sitted you feel like you have turned invisible, waiters will ignore you and sometimes turn agressive if you insist to have them stop at your table.

Very disappointed by the service, by the 5 o'clock high tea - and on top of all, high price for low quality. To be avoided!

Excellent service and delicious food in a spectacular place. They do not accept reservations for lunch, but it's worth the wait!

Very expensive for a kitchen not bad but nothing more. You must not have a big appetite. The "formula" lunch at 38 euros: 4 medium shrimps in tempura, 1 mini salmon tartare, 50 grs of quinoa and 2 cubes of sea bream accompanied by its 3 slices of vegetables, 3/4 of a small bowl of juice Yeasts served in addition to almost cold. Fortunately, the bread is good. The dishes are better served but all this leaves the impression that we are making fun of the French customer. Fortunately, foreign customers must allow to apply such rates! A starter dish or dessert dish with simple products would be more acceptable to me.

Referring to the hotel, Le Meurice is also a fantastic hotel. Our room was quite large, and amenities were well-appointed: toiletries by Penhaligon's, solid wifi availability, the Le Meurice restaurant on-site, Valmont Spa on-site, even Christophe Robin's salon on-site as well. The staff were very thoughtful and made every effort to provide a great experience at the hotel and in Paris. Location is perfect as well, would definitely stay here again.

Yummy. Long. Quite expensive. But overall a good restaurant is appropriate for a place. In a word, worth the money

Frankly for a restaurant as good the result was disappointing waiting time too long for coffee you had to wait at least 30 minutes for bread we had to wait more than 45 minutes.
Avoid at all costs.
Staff unfriendly and poorly organized we had seen a waiter make a bad gesture to a customer we did not ask for wine yet we were served and 5 minutes we realize that the wine was for the table next door

The prices, the prices the last plate of fish at 40 euros with so little in it is exaggerated!

After the MoMa expo we went to have a glass of wine. The setting is magnificent. Quick service, delicious rosemary cashews.

It is simply a SHAME and absolutely not up to the place nor the price. Any dishes that on the contrary do not compensate for the most lamentable service. We had to fight to get glasses with the drink we ordered, our table neighbors from Austria waited for cutlery long after their meal was served ... What an image for our foreign tourists! Absolutely not recommended.

3 waiters for fifteen tables and none who neither looks at you nor speaks to you ... Then suddenly without a hello we take your order. No smiles, overpriced dishes for a fair amount and quality "brasserie" nothing more. Up to you !

Place is chic and food is chic. Beef and rice tastes sophisticated with spices.

It's good because it's the only place to have a drink at the Foundation ...
5 a bottle of water, 7 a coke ...
7 tea ... oh no, tea break on a menu of your choice already more than reduced. Unfriendly service, unable to advise "I am not a tea specialist". It is true that it is complicated to know the characteristics of 3 teas ... too bad for a service that must follow the codes of luxury ...

Extremely slow and rude service. Prices are absurdly high. Took them so long to serve us that we cancelled our order and left. Staff are just not bothered.

Dishes well prepared to go out quickly, good flavors especially for the formulas "garden".
The service is however very badly organized, some staff are at the level but the reinforcements are catastrophic.
In summary: nice place, but the quality / price / service is not the appointment.
