Great view, worth the price. Great accomadations to an issue outside their hands (card to exit wouldn't read).. definitely recommend
Great view, worth the price. Great accomadations to an issue outside their hands (card to exit wouldn't read).. definitely recommend
This is an amazing Oasis to stumble on I really like the interior design the ocean view the fire pit their food is outstanding but it's very quiet during the week and even sometimes on the weekend which is surprising I was there in the evening it might be amazing during the daytime it's a pleasant Resort
They have such great food and the event that was thrown worderful. The hotel set everything up great. It also had such a great view of the beach.
What a hidden gem in Long Beach. Although its part of the Doubletree by Hilton chain, it feels more like a cross between a boutique hotel and small resort. Perfect proximity to the ocean with stunning views. Beautiful decor and great food. Check it out!
Absolutely life changing. All I can say is I'm a lucky person, to be with the one I love, and such a peaceful and beautiful place, adjacent to the Golden shore of the Pacific Ocean. The Maya hotel is absolutely outstanding. Always remember that a staff can make a big difference at a hotel. I love coming to the Maya because these people really try their best to take care of their guests.
Even though I was with my daughter, and she wanted specific foods, and she wanted to practice skating, everyone was very nice and accommodated us. it has been one of her dreams to skate by the beach with her dad.
I was so happy to find a hotel that also had vegetarian options, and I remember waking up in the morning, seeing the sunrise over the ocean, and thinking this is absolutely amazing.. I highly recommend coming to this hotel, it's a once in a lifetime experience and it's worth every penny. I would like to say once again thank you very much to the staff for making an incredible experience for me and my daughter.
I would give six stars if possible, what a wonderful and unique experience!
Beautiful hotel right along the water and a ten minute walk to the Queen Mary. Clean, pretty, and spacious rooms all just a few steps from firepits on a faux beach and the swimming pool. Will visit here again next time in Long Beach.
The scenery, staff, rooms, and everything about this place was great! The only downside, if you are being picky, is that it's a little out of the way and the parking seems a little odd. But I thought it was a wonderful stay and the restaurant food was good as well as the room service. I hope to be going back again!
Beautiful scenery and kind staff. Very relaxing to put your toes in the sand and watch the boats. Beds are incredibly comfortable and my room had a view overlooking the boats that were docked. Would stay again!
I came just to check out their happy hour at fuego and it was good. I liked the food they were generous with salsa and guacamole. Plus the service was excellent.
The hotel is pretty nice. It's right on the docks, so you can swim in their pool and look over at the boats and the Long Beach skyline. The rooms are very contemporary and clean. I felt all the employees I came in contact with were extremely kind. My main complaint is that I paid about $250 a night to stay here, and never once was it mentioned before leaving that I would have to pay an additional $25 per night to park my car in the parking lot of the hotel I'm paying $250 a night to stay in. So let it be known, that it doesn't matter if you have a room and how much you pay for it, your car is not welcome unless you're willing to pay heavily to park it there. Then on top of that, they throw many events at this hotel, so even though you're paying $25 on top of the room rate, chances are, as it gets closer to the weekend, you won't be able to even find parking because there's 150 visitors using the parking lot.
I know, complaining about parking seems pedantic, but it's a big let down when the hospitality industry is all about customer service, only to find out they're price gouging you on parking and nobody even mentioned it. It just seems sneaky and I really don't appreciate it. Everything else was perfect though.
Just ok!! Great customer service at restaurant shuttle service very nice but the room it self not my style
Beds were very uncomfortable, fuego menu is very limited and food seems prepared and warmed up not freshly prepared and over priced. Waiters were nice as well. Nice ambiance with not much to do and the pool was not heated and closes too early at 8pm.
Was picking someone up and was stuck in the parking lot for 15 minutes because of the parking attendants not working
I attended a social event this weekend at the Maya Hotel Lagunita pavilion. The location is great but there is not enough parking for guests. We had to drive around and wait for parking for 20 minutes. Food was catered from outside vendor so we can't comment on hotel's food. Love the outside area by the water. The hall can seat 200 easily with room left over for dance floor or stage.
Great spot, interior is updated and is quite nice. The restaurant on site had some great food options and very good service. We had a party of 10 and our food was out in a reasonable amount of time. They have a nice sand area kids could hang out and play yard games and you can enjoy the view of the bay. Hotel staff checking in and driving us to the cruise port were extremely friendly and made transportation easy for us.
Very modern and contemporary hotel with nice view of the bay
Attended a social event at their tent. Very spacious and beautiful. The staff was very good.
Excellent! Extraordinary staff of happy and fun people who truly care about giving guests an enjoyable stay. Love this place.
I went to a work event. The view outside is pretty.
We had a brunch meeting at the hotel Maya restaurant. Not only was it beautiful but the service and food were amazing.
Adorable hotel sits right across from Rainbow Harbor. Private sand beach type thing with gas firepit, comfortable chairs and a great view.
Love the atmosphere here, the pool is always just right and the hot tub is amazing!!
Try out their restaurant Fuego as well, food was incredible
Stayed here for a little over 2 weeks for work. Friendly staff, clean rooms, and quiet depending on which room/floor/building you are in. The breakfast buffet is a good selection and the view is very nice. Saw dolphins in the water one day from the breakfast patio.
First some positives. It's right on the bay so the views are spectacular. You can look across the water and enjoy the skyline or look over toward the Queen Mary. The rooms are simple but clean and attractive with many rooms having spectacular views. The rooms had hard floors rather than carpeting which I liked though some might not.
I was there with a group and while my room had a terrible view (I was in room 1111) other people on higher floors had great views. Just ask if a room with a view of the harbor is available.
The decor of the hotel is quirky and charming. It's not luxurious but is fun, with cool fire pits and a bar and restaurant overlooking the harbor and a hookah lounge if you are into that.
Now for some negatives.
The worst thing was the walls being very thing with no soundproofing. My room was by the elevator and I could hear everyone walking past my room and talking outside as if they were inside the room with me. Another from my group said she could hear the person next door to her peeing, not just the sound of the toilet but them actually peeing.
I didn't care for the bed either. The matresses were a little firm, of course that's personal preference. The pillows were worse. There were two sets of pillows with one set being very dense and firm and the other set being so thin they did nothing.
Another downside is that there isn't really anything around the hotel itself to see or do, not even a convenience store. There is a small sundry shop at the hotel but as you can imagine it isn't cheap. The hotel does provide a free shuttle service however to restaurants and shops which is only about a five minute drive away which makes up a bit for the lack of nearby places. Just know there is no running to a nearby 7-Eleven to grab a snack or or drink late at night on a whim.
Conclusion, while I wouldn't avoid staying there if I had to I wouldn't choose it over trying a different hotel in the area which is a shame because if they could fix a few things it might be a really fun spot. Primarily the soundproofing is a must.
I'll also add that although the staff was very nice they didn't actually ask how my stay was which I don't think I've ever had happen at another hotel. Not even at a cheap motel 6.
I had a great stay here. The rooms were spotless and impeccable. The staff were nice and helpful.
Great place for events and functions. Excellent location and helpful staff
This hotel was very nice for a pre-cruise stay. Resturaunt onsite was very fancy and expensive. Luckily they offered a free shuttle to a shopping and restaurant area. The driver even took us to get pop for our cruise and left it at the front desk of the hotel while we ate dinner.
The quality of the room, bed and towels was just not good enough. The pillows were terrible and the towels cheap and thin. The water pressure was terrible and bathroom tiny. The view from the balcony was decent although I did see a homeless guy sleeping outside.
Very clean rooms nice views and very nice shuttle to cruise ship
Great view on the outdoor patio, limited menu, excellent service, great range in prices for lunch ($12 to $35).
Great view of the bay and queen Mary, live music, great food and drinks
This place is not only a restaurant it's a place where your welcomed as your home
We went to a wedding here. The staff were amazing. I am disabled and use a walker and they were very helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel on the water front. Amy S.
Disappointed in the cleanliness and not up to par for a Hilton property. Asked for best view available for my 50th birthday as I payed for ocean view, but it was only partial view. The front desk workers worked hard but not enough staff to help with customers. I don't often spend that much money per night for a room and was highly disappointed.
The hotel has great staff, very clean and we'll maintained grounds. The pool had live music, a steel drum singer. Definitely a great place to stay with awesome views.
stuffy and non knowledgeable staff. very unfriendly
Went for a Green Energy event and the elevator was not working. The hotel looks nice but the restaurant across (The Reef) is pretty good.
Nice view and location. Try to get a room facing the water
Great hotel, great location. Finally booked a hotel online that meets up with the star rating. Our room had a small issue so we were upgraded to a harbor view room for no charge. Come stay here, it will not disappoint.
Great view of the water and a good place to hold an event.
This is a nice spot in Hollywood -- it is a good value. Stayed here when we visited for a concert at the Hollywood Bowl as we wanted to be nearby.
One of my secret favorite spots - the food is so good and the LB harbor views are amazing! They also have a hookah bar which I feel most people don't know about.
A beautiful looking hotel. Small, sandy beaches for guests, firepits, and outdoor settings encourage everyone to sit and relax.
I was here for a business meeting, and it was the first time I'd ever been at Hotel Maya. This is an underrated place to hold meetings and their bar makes for a nice Gathering Place after your event
This hotel is gorgeous, our view is waterfront and the breakfast that came with our stay was delicious. The staff at breakfast was so helpful and friendly!! I got treated along with my kids like we we're v.i.p I recommend this hotel to everyone!!!!!
Wonderful....Fuego Restaurant ~ the view, the food, and the host. Excellent!
Rooms are nice but bathroom door is werid. Bed was Comfortable. There's no free WiFi so that blows.
Always a wonderful place to stay. Very laid back atmosphere. It's also within walking distance to the Queen Mary. Feels like a tropical island resort. Great food and great service. There are nice fire pits scattered throughout the property for hanging out at night. We try to come here 2 or 3 times a year for a quick getaway when there is no time for a long vacation.
$$ to $$$ Great atmosphere, gorgeous interior, modern building with artistic flair and views all around!
I just found the fabulous Hotel Maya by Hilton in Long Beach... It is really special, special, special! The setting for this beautiful property is on the waterfront directly across from Downtown Long Beach, I am talking views and atmosphere, this hotel has it.
Maya's grounds are park-like; there is also a waterfront park adjacent to the hotel property. A boardwalk meanders through the hotel's peaceful highly manicured property following the waterfront and the Marina taking you to the famous Queen Mary just a short walk away...
You will love the visit of this hotel or take in the great and beautiful Fuego, restaurant/ bar with luscious dining patio facing the water and offering views of downtown Long Beach and also the Queen Mary.
The Maya is one of those places that I like everything about... I think you will too!
(I also did a write up on the Hotel Maya on my cmilton111 Instagram, Facebook and Google Plus accounts)..

Great amenities and room. Restaurant was delicious too
The prices online kept changing for the same date and room. At check in i was charged $200 more for incedentals. Then after the front desk clerk took my credit card he decided to inform me that i will be charged another $31 per day for parking. The bathroom was disgusting with unflushed toilets and toilet paper on the floor.
When I cancelled my stay, no one at the hotel would tell me when i would get my refund or how much cancellation fee will be exactly. I had to call customer care to get an answer.
I came to this hotel to ehave a nice peaceful weekend and it was ruined
I do't recommend this place to anyone.
Make sure to double check the bill for extra charges. The hotel was nice but they got my billing wrong. Christie charged me for the incorrect amount, I had her fix it, she sent me an updated bill and then charged my credit card with the original incorrect amount.
Would not stay again
Rooms are ok, but they dont honor requests made when booking.
Furthermore we had a Room on the 5th floor which is the top and we're woke up at 2:30 in the morning by a Room partying beneath us when I called the front desk and asked them to a dress a they said they would send someone over the group delete 8th us continued the party until around 3:30 in the morning this place is not worth staying at for a $100 a night.
Also as a gold elite member of Hilton typically can get check outs at 2:00 p.m. no problem due to being kept up played asked for a later checkout was told the best they could do is 12 noon this place is unbelievably the worst hotel I've ever stayed at your customer service.
Just got checked into a disgustingly smelly smokey room. Let's see what they have for an exchange
I was only there for drinks and hookah. I did not stay at the hotel. I first went to the bar. Since I saw a ton of copper mugs, I assumed that they would have a pretty decent mule. So, I ordered a Moscow Mule. It had way too much lime and not enough vodka. And I'm not sure of the brand of ginger beer that they used, but it didn't have the bite that I like for my Mules to have. So, it really just tasted like a sour with vodka. I also ordered a Jameson rocks. The pour was pretty decent. So, points for that. My friend said the vodka cranberry that she ordered was way too strong. Woman problems, right. We were meeting friends on the patio for hookah. When we asked the host the best way to get to the back patio, he seemed unsure and directed us back through the lobby. In other words, the long way. Found our friends by the fire pit. The ladies attending to the hookahs were attentive. So, overall, it was a good night. I'll give it another try soon before making a final judgement.
One of the best hotels/resorts I have stayed at! We upgraded to have a room with a balcony/water view. I would highly recommend getting that room. It was so nice have a private balcony with a view to wake up to. The front desk staff were awesome, I feel bad I don't remeber their names. The woman knew us, even after coming back from a cruise! I could tell they tried hard to accommodate us in all of our needs. There is a shuttle that will take you to the downtown area and cruise port. Our driver was awesome, he recommended places for us. He even walked around the resort to find us when an opening became available to take us to the cruise port. The amenities were great, and you get a delicious cookie to top it off! The onsite restraint was delicious for breakfast and super convenient! Would stay here again and highly reccomend!
We moved to this hotel during our vacation after an awful night at the Westin. This hotel is relaxed and friendly with a lovely pool area and a great restaurant. Highly recommend and so convenient if you re planning a cruise from Long Beach. We will definitely be back!
Right on the sea level has nice walkway so can go for fresh walks in the morning always good hotel is nice staff are friendly and very close to long beach 10min walk from shops and restaurants or 5 min taxi also very close to cruise terminal.
Hotel is in a nice location by the cruise terminal and is modern and stylish with good views. I was here to meet up with others in my party for a cruise and had favorable interactions with the staff and took advantage of the 15 minutes of complimentary parking time (parking starts at $10 for first hour with a daily max of $27).
We were accomodated well from the valet parking to the space in each room.
This hotel has all the amenities and services expected from a business in their range. But it has two advantages : a magnificent view of the the harbor and the city skyline, and a very good Cali-Mex restaurant including a nice non smoking patio
