Amazing hotel! We were i think in the smallest room, but did we have a great time! Everytime u wander from the croisette back to the hotel u feel like u are a movie star! Drinks at the pool bar before diner in the evening were my best moments of the day! Cannes itself is a booming town with luxury everywhere! The south of France, there is nothing like it!
There would be a whole novel to write about here, but I will be as short and concise as possible:
1.Room 762 is NO room to accomodate 3 or 4 guests as stated on Booking. The bed was big is true, but when they installed the additional bed in there was absolutely no room left.
2. The doors to the balcony could not be closed. If I locked the left door and tried to close the right door, the left door would open and vice versa. With the rain and the wind we had during our stay it was not confortable at all.
3. The temperature in the room could NOT be adjusted. No matter how I set the temperature on the control panel, the air that was blown in the room was tha same: not warmer, nor colder and it could NOT be stopped. It just kept on blowing in.
4. The lady at the reception was VERY RUDE and IMPERTINENT. I called the reception to tell them that the room was not fitted to accomodate 3 or even 4 persons as stated on Booking. She just kept on telling me that that was the regular size for that type of room and even if we changed the room we would get the same size, so we told her that we were not satisfied, but be we would accept it ( at 11 o'clock at night , after 1000 km and 11 hours of driving). After aproximately 10 minutes when I tried to call the reception again they simply WOULD NOT answer. It is obvious that thay could see the room the call was coming from and they simply IGNORED it.
5. The story with the minibar is simply horrific: you can not move one item in the minibar without being charged for it. First I think it's fair to be informed at the check in about this whole idea. It's a good thing we were finally not charged for the moved items, but not at all confortable.
If you are not a millionaire and you don't look like one be ready to be looked down on at the reception and to not be considered worthy of being treated like a regular customer who paid just like the rest of the guests.
The atmosphere at breakfast was impecable and the staff too and also the employees at the bar and at the parking.
The rest was good and I think that this is what you were interested to find out about our stay at this hotel.
A classic palatial jewel positioned directly in front of the broadwalk and strategically close to all shops, restaurants and bars catering to all tastes and budgets. The hotel itself is stunningly beautiful. The rooms are spacious and lavish while the service is impeccable with courteous and friendly staff.
Directly in front of the hotel, after crossing the small road, you have its private beach and restaurant. Both require reservation so plan ahead as demand is high which is the more amazing taking into account that deck chairs are payable for all (incl hotel guests).
Only downside, which is applicable to all hotels in Cannes, is the pool: too small for a hotel of this scale and category.
Definitely worth a try if you fancy a period of opulence. The selection of luxury cars in the forecourt is an enthusiasts dream.

I have one question: why is this hotel considered 5 stars. I do not know how they are given to the hotels in france but i am sure the this hotel would ultimately only get 4 by the normal star system. Central Location & the green park are very good. Service is Poor. Daily bath hygiene articles not renewed. Coffe in the room not present. Used drinking glasses not renewed. No possibility for cleaning shoes. bad staff and bad service . A lot of small things which you expect from a 5-Star Hotel, which are not available. This is not a 5 Star House. Swimming pool .Bad summer holidays
A lovely hotel that never fails to deliver. The staff offer impeccable service, from room service (they found my earring with military precision) to the beach staff. The gardens are peaceful and the food is good.
Great hotel very comfortable, rooms are perfect , no noise . Quality Quality would be the best 2 word to describe this hotel which is fantastic.
Many VIPS during the Cannes Film festival were situated here. great location right in the middle of cannes
We stayed at this hotel for 7 nights and it was great! It had a private beach with umbrellas seats, and a restaurant. However you do have to pay extra for the seats and umbrella everyday you go there. The rooms are very spacious and nice with good sized bathrooms and comfortable beds. The rooms do have a mini bar available but the items in it are extremely expensive as for example a pack of SMALL Pringle s is 10 which is incredibly overpriced. You also can t store any of your own drinks in the mini fridge as if you remove any one of the items already in it, it will be automatically charged to your bill. The hotel has a good pool with seating around it so you can get a drink next to it. The service while we were there was on and off as some days the staff were very quick on their feet but some days they were very slow and would easily forget things that you may have ordered. Like Breakfast for example, One day we ordered our food and they only gave us half of it. The location is very good as it is close to many good restaurants and a a lot of luxury shops. It is also a very short walk to the beach which is good.
Overall I would recommend this hotel but be prepared for some days with slow service and an overpriced mini bar.
Very nice hotel. The stuff is very welcoming and super nice. I took away one star because the room we had was the tiniest I have ever seen in my life. The restaurant is very good with great food and service.
