Very centrally located. Unfortunately the rooms have no air conditioning and it is very warm in summer. The pool is great but the slide dangerous. I heard of several injuries during my stay. The staff is very friendly. Unfortunately, the wifi in the rooms is very bad.
The wake up call is made by the staff of the front desk person.

if you really want to travel and gaze around hamburg this is the Best Hotel to do it... free transport pass...very close to central station

First hotel I ever been to in my life. Was staying in it with my parents when I was 9. Can only recommend. Especially the Rutsche. :)
And breakfast was amazing then also!

Either room 464 had been empty for 1-2 weeks, or the sink hadn't been cleaned beforehand. I have never seen this layer of dust on it in a hotel room. The rest were clean. Furthermore, the water in the pool is not exactly pleasant. Once in briefly, frozen, immediately out again and then rather in the sauna. This was fine. The breakfast was very extensive and we liked it.

Friendly reception, nice clean rooms and main areas. Loved the lounge, which was so comfortable and served delicious cocktails. Amazing free breakfast with many options, including and amazing automatic espresso and coffee machine. Mini bar was fair pricing compared to any other hotels I've been too. I was also pleasantly surprised when given the complimentary local transportation pass for all the days of the stay. This was so helpful for exploring the beautiful city of Hamburg!! Great location directly across street from main train station, a grocery store, and pharmacy. Swimming pool was clean and a great place to relax. There was no air conditioning, which I was aware of before booking. It was not an issue for us, and we were comfortable sleeping with a light blanket and the window open. Rooms are not large, but very comfortable with lots of storage places, including a safe. We came from Canada, and had a very pleasant two night stay here before heading out to Wacken. Would love to come back again!

Had a room overlooking train station, which I thought would be noisy, but it was quiet. However, the room was far too warm and stuffy. Yes it was hot (35 deg c) outside, but no air con, and no way to move the air around. I had the windows open, but to noisy as overlooking station/main road.

Nice large and well-kept hotel area with large, clean rooms. Super service for all employees; Special thanks to Mr. Wahieb at the reception, who helped us a lot with checking in and during the stay.

Very friendly staff. In the room is a comfortable bed, a large flat screen a very nice bathroom and a few seats and a small desk. Everything very clean and well-kept. I can only recommend.

We had booked the hotel especially because of the spa area. Unfortunately it was much too cold in the pool area

Clean rooms, very pleasant atmosphere, top location from which all destinations can be reached very quickly by subway or S-Bahn. The swimming pool is very nice, even if it needs to be renewed soon, the breakfast on Sunday was more like a fight, because unfortunately you weren't prepared for the crowds, but the breakfast itself was absolutely great and recommended!

Have come here many times over the years but my family. Have always loved it because of the good atmosphere, lovely beds, not least a sour breakfast, etc. However, the internet was remarkably bad lately.

Very good hotel in a good location at the train station.

Room to the train station very noisy at night, impossible to sleep. No air conditioning only energy saving lamps in the room so you need torch to bag. Breakfast or coffee missing for early risers. Restaurant does not exist if you are "quartered" by airline as in my case after flight failure is very bad. In front of the hotel lounging at night strange characters (train station) go out seems insecure .. otherwise very good but not 4 stars

The breakfast buffet was great, but the (single) rooms are not nice. Dienlage is great, of course, but I had expected more from the European court.

Pleasant four-star hotel in the middle of Hamburg directly opposite the main train station. This eliminates the taxi ride to the hotel, if you arrive by train. You can also buy late at night in the main station stuff that you may still need. The breakfast buffet in the hotel is great, everything there, what you want. The rooms are cozy and clean, the staff is friendly and helpful.

Very expensive level. The food was okay, but only average for the price. Unfortunately the slide could not be reached ..

It was a easy arrival. Clean, clear rooms, friendly staff. Perfect living for a city break. Super central directly at the train station. You can do many things on foot.
Only the Wi-Fi is a bit slow - at least in the room. If you want to work in between, you probably have to go to the bar.

Tolles Hotel. Service sehr gut. Sehr sauber. Matratzen allerdings sehr weich.

For the second time we went to a concert in the European Court. The location of the hotel is very good for rail travelers. The rooms are functional, but this time our room was very dark. Appropriate lighting was missing. The swimming pool is great. And above all the rich breakfast completes the stay.

All in all, I can recommend the hotel. Very close to the train station. Unfortunately, it has no air conditioning at all, so we almost died in the night of heat. The staff is very accommodating, therefore 4 stars

I have been going to this hotel for years. There is no better hotel worldwide in terms of service and staff. I have always been very satisfied here for many years. Now rooms have been renovated and the hotel has been significantly upgraded. Price performance is top. Very good quality breakfast. And the in-house service is impressive. A very well run hotel.

4 stars thanks to the great service and upgrade. Otherwise it would only have been 3. The lobby and elevator had a strange smell for us. Quiet room overlooking the courtyard. Breakfast was good and sufficient. Even if I personally find it not portable that one does without a spit protection. Service was super friendly and helpful. Great location right at the main train station. The whirlpool was not in operation in the wellness area.

The location at the station is good, to the street side but correspondingly louder. The room was very clean and well maintained but the mattresses are cruelly simply worn soft, I have not had that for a long time. At a price of 178 the night + 22 for the parking lot but I expect more! As a vegetarian / vegan, the breakfast is poor. Because it is pretty fast limited to jam, fruit and rolls. I would not only have cucumber u. Tomato wanted. The swimming pool is so in the years that I would rather describe it as in need of renovation. Whirlpool was already out of service and suspended. I would call it the average hotel. There are cheaper alternatives in Hamburg which are far better.9

Very convenient location next to the main train station. Excellent breakfast with lots of choice. Room was ok and clean but no air-con so it was a bit warm in the summer. Poor wi-fi, almost useless. As a guest you get free access to the Spa and swimming pool. There is also a water slide from the 6th floor all the way down to the 2nd.

Unbelievable how quiet it can be in the heart of Hamburg, if you have a room in the courtyard :) A very friendly, very clean and very well-kept hotel with a mini thermal bath in-house. Anytime to recommend further, spa, sauna and a ticket for public transport are included here. Central one can hardly reside.

Very friendly staff, rich breakfast. We stayed 4 nights in a non-air-conditioned room. We were immediately provided with a fan and so we could endure the hot nights well. The rooms are a bit old, but very clean. On the whole, you can recommend this hotel.

I was with my daughter from 20.10-23.10 guest in the hotel, everything was perfect. Room, staff very friendly and attractive. The breakfast was delicious. I've been there last year and go back to the European court anytime. Station is right across the street and the possibility to reach the sights without a car is very good.

Don't forget to bring your own thongs. They have a nice wellness area and friendly staff.

We spent 3 nights in this great hotel.
It is right by the train station, so excursions were very easy thanks to the connection to public transport. The room was big enough and had everything you need, table with 2 chairs, enough storage space and if you have time to watch TV, that too.
The bathroom was also big enough for 2 people.

Super nice and polite staff who were always happy to help.
We also loved the 3 days free use of public transport by the hotel.
There were also many discounts for admission and excursions .
If you bought the tickets for the zoo in the hotel, for example, you not only saved money, but also had to queue for a long time at the cash desk in the zoo.

Breakfast was great, there was so much that it was impossible to try everything.
Again, the staff was really nice.
Only during the holidays, preferably earlier for breakfast, as it is very full later and therefore also loud and natural.

Our double room was very clean and big. In the hallway of the hotel it was a little less clean, but we only had to go through. A lot of choice for breakfast and a lot of space to sit. It falls directly from the train station, which was convenient for us, since we wanted to leave early by train. Had rather typed, that it is a three star hotel from the facilities, apart from the really good breakfast.

I have been to the European Court in Hamburg 10 times already: a hotel with very clear strengths and very clear weaknesses, so that one should weigh what is important to you. The strengths: the location of the hotel directly opposite the main station and in the middle of the city is absolutely great, if you use public transport or want to be on foot. The rooms facing the courtyard are surprisingly quiet for this location. As for the quality of the rooms: the renovated rooms (not so new) are good, the not renovated very old. Good is also the quality of the breakfast buffet. Now to the critical side: In this hotel will probably be invested only when things collapse. The interior in the general areas is very, very old and m.E. urgently in need of renovation. Likewise, the equipment in the gym. They work, but are no longer on the stand of a 4 star hotel with such prices. The pool area would be a renovation really good. And you do not necessarily want the non-renovated rooms. Other disadvantages include: this hotel does not have air conditioning. In a summer like now 2018 is the catastrophic: sauna-like sweating at fairly high prices of a 4-star hotel. Last but not least the service: it is dazzling. When I was here in 2017 for a few days, nothing was cleared in the much too small breakfast room, so that the guests were allowed to have breakfast between mountains of dirty dishes. That was different now: there are nice 'cleaners'. Service staff I would not call it here, because in fact only cleared. My criticism of the lack of service in 2017 meant that I got a room upgrade during my current stay. That is very nice and accommodating. Also, I found the staff friendly overall. However - and now comes again such a typical European courtyard No Go: -: The fitness room, which is like the whole hotel unklimatisiert, had a temperature of 30 degrees. The staff opened the sliding doors. Then comes in nice hot air. My very clearly worded suggestion to exhibit at least two fans did not lead to any success. Is one too lazy, too stingy or just a bit ignorant? I think, despite many significant strengths, this house acts for its owner, especially as a cash cow: get out as much as possible - as little as possible reinstecken. This charisma will be the European yard m.E. not going on for many years.

Room clean. Staff friendly breakfast leaves to be desired. (Rolls too small, hard. Cheese and sausage mushy. No bottle of water in the room.

I stayed at the Europaischer Hof in Hamburg for a week and loved the place. My room was attractive (Art Deco-ish), comfortable, spacious and located exactly where I requested. The breakfast (inclusive) was phenomenal! A fabulous array of foods, including all kinds of herring salads I'd never seen before, a very good selection of cheeses and bakery-quality breads and pastries, very good coffee, and on and on, plus there are on-site cooks to make custom omelettes (perfectly made each time) and eggs to order. The staff in the dining room is very efficient. So is the staff in the Lobby/ Reception, as well as being friendly and courteous. The location can't be beat for anyone taking public transportation: directly across the street from the Hauptbahnhof; it was so easy to ride the U-bahn trains every day, and to arrive and depart on the Intercity trains. The location is also great for such sites as the Kunsthalle (a five-minute walk), the Museum of Kunst und Gewerbe (a three-minute walk) and the Rathaus (a 15-minute walk). The only potential flaw would be for guests who cannot walk stairs, because there is only one elevator and if that has a problem (it did for one day of my visit), you have to walk the stairs. But I recommend the Europaischer Hof totally and wholeheartedly!

Have booked one simple overnight stay and there are no more bathrobes now that it was otherwise planned to visit you because of the spa department. I think that's really bad!

Overall, it's a good hotel.
It is clear that it is getting on in years. The bathroom is in very good condition (bathrooms with shower) and everything in the room is very clean. The decor is a mix of old-fashioned and modern. There are beds and hard ones.
We had to change rooms during our 11 day stay due to construction work. That's not a problem at first, but then ending up at the end of the hotel is not the best way.
The wellness area ... stone old and more like in need of renovation. It is cleaned there, but the tiles are so old that the mold stains cannot come out. The ambience doesn't really invite you to stay longer. In addition, the one elevator has been broken for a long time and we had to reach the three floors between the changing room, pool and sauna area via a spiral staircase ... Relaxation is different. The saunas are only in operation from 3 p.m. before only one of the four saunas (70 degrees). It may not be worth it to switch them all on, but with the prices here I expect all saunas to run early in the morning. I end up paying a lot of money. The breakfast, on the other hand, is really great there is hardly anything that could be missing.

Nice, modern room. A real bar pianist actually played in the hotel bar. The key card was also a ticket for 5 zones in public transport for three days. Always my pleasure.
