Hotel en Gasterij de Roode Schuur Review

Went to the annual brunch of De Roode Schuur at Easter. I have been coming to the De Roode Schuur for years and especially with occasions such as a brunch or a party. On such occasions it is always arranged very nicely. Food and drinks are well cared for and are of an average to good level. In addition, children are very well taken into account, which is a plus for me. It is a pity that there were no ponies last time while the advertisement indicated.

The beds in this place are awesome. Its super clean and silent. I really would recommend this hotel, its not too expensive and pretty decent. The breakfast is not that awesome tho.

Ideal place to rest and relax. 15 minutes from Amersfoort Employees are welcoming. The only problem is the leaky shower. The restaurant near the hotel is not cheap.

Good food, the way too large cuticle was delicious. Cozy location (bistro style) but then better.

Very nice and good hotel. Beautiful and nice rooms, attractive and in design (bath in room, rounded ceiling, spacious rooms and details such as lamps) well equipped. Complete service partly unexpected due to Corona time also in the rooms. Very positive experience. Restaurant (for breakfast) may have a slightly better assorted buffet. Restaurant Moeke, located right next to the hotel, completes the hotel accommodation.

Location is easily accessible, with ample parking. There is a nice playground for children and there is enough terrace space. Inside it is nicely decorated, very atmospheric. The ministry did not do it badly, but there was a lady present in the ministry who I did not have her day with. But in the end one of the other guests managed to put a smile on her face. The food (bbq) I could not eat because of health problems but it looked good and the rest was also satisfied I believe. In our case it was a visit for a wedding, the location is extremely well suited for this. The basement against it is another story, difficult to access (stairlift was defective after use) staff did not know how it worked. The music was also very loud and the lighting was just like a brothel. I personally did not like this, I would certainly have done it differently. All in all, 4 out of 5 stars. However, I would not give a party here myself.

Nice location but not worthy of 4 stars. Not wheelchair friendly (stairs to breakfast room) lots of flies in the hotel (in the room, corridors and between the bread at breakfast) orange juice comes from a vending machine (unfortunately no fresh) shower leaks and no door at the toilet (you can use the shower door but that does not close the whole toilet) Also no fridge in the room (very unfortunate) further a nice room, attractive. Nice detail: instead of a card on the door handle that you do not want to be disturbed, put clogs in front of the door. Today last day and wanted to go to breakfast at 10 a.m. Just no place ... people who are waiting at a table or have to sit at the table with others .... too many rooms and too few places at breakfast. Not recommended to go ...

Stayed 2 nights here through hotel room auctions. We had some complaints about the cleaning of our room, but this was neatly solved. In the room we had a freestanding large bath that you can easily with 2 people.
Breakfast was tasty and extensive with even delicious fresh sugar bread from the bakery. In the summer we had a wonderful walk in this rural area. We'll be back soon.

Hotel de Roode barn is really great super nice rooms next to the hotel is a good restaurant we had booked an arrangement so on arrival enjoyed a delicious dinner and in the morning a delicious breakfast. Coffee is a bit less but well we have been there for a weekend relaxing and lots to do palace the loo visit ff shopping in Apeldoorn. Is a must for both summer and winter!

I felt very comfortable there. Is relatively quiet and is modern and slightly luxurious. Food is very good. Staff is very friendly. Just the right time to turn off.

The Roode barn is a wonderful hotel on the edge of Nijkerk. The rooms are beautifully stylish. Staff is extremely friendly and the breakfast buffet is truly luxurious.
We would like to come here again!

We come here once a year for an extensive lunch. It is always a surprise what we are presented with. It was never disappointing. They serve delicious wines at the Roode Schuur. We are already looking forward to a return visit.

You have to love each other very much if you want a toilet in your room without a door.
I certainly don't.
Not welcoming outside if you want to smoke. Nowhere a smoke seat.
Restaurant not welcoming.

Room nice, but a little sparse amenities, no minibar, no facial tissues, breakfast selection limited, we had booked 3 rooms, bicycles were not free, as promised in the advertisement, m.E. not 4 stars

Nice hotel, nice people who are not in need of a chat. Nice rooms, just a pity that the toilet is not closed but in an open bathroom.

Reception excellent and fast. Room was spacious, nicely decorated and clean. Bathroom is quite stylish but the sink shelf is extended over the bath, making it suddenly a very narrow bath. No shower door so everything More

The rooms are small, not very comfortable, offer little privacy for the toilet. No private catering. Only breakfast in a hotel in a cafeteria-like environment. Incidentally, breakfast is fine. We did not have Wi-Fi.

A beautiful and well-kept hotel.

The receptionist was very friendly and gave us very good tips on how to organize the day.

We had the superior suite and absolutely loved it. It was very clean and furnished with love.

The frosted glass door to the bathroom without a lock may take a bit of getting used to, but you can't really blame it for that.

The bathtub in the sleeping area is a very funny idea. My wife took the chance straight away!

Only the lack of a safe and the lack of a minibar cost this beautiful hotel a point.

Great hotel. Toilet is too open for us and if you need a break during the night, the entire room is immediately lit. Breakfast is ample and the quality is good.

Beautiful and well cared for! Stayed 1 day and night in the Royal suite. Everything is very nicely decorated, and the room is very large. Lovely bed and 2 beautiful rain showers with 2 person bath. Good breakfast and nice location.

Thought to have a nice lunch at Moeke, kindly greeted on arrival but unfortunately the staff didn't have time for us. After a while they just left to have lunch elsewhere.

Wonderful beds and bath. We had booked for our wedding night + all extra options. Unfortunately, they had forgotten to set it up, which made the room somewhat unconventional for the occasion.

Was a nice place, unfortunately directly placed near by the road. This doesn't hurt you, if you sleeps but it's a bit annoying by breakfast at the Veranda.

I thought for a long time whether I wanted to write a review. But I do it anyway to save other bridal couples from making the same mistake as us. We booked our wedding night here last year. After everything, after we thought we had arranged it well, it was one big fiasco. There is no reception there in the evening but you will receive a code and then you can get your pass from a pole. Apparently they had not arranged this properly with us, so we could not enter. We had to wait more than an hour in our wedding clothes for security. Then the door could be opened with another pass. We had no light, we had to do everything by touch. Nice to take off hair extensions in the dark and a wedding dress. The alarm went off because the hotel door did not close. We put a suitcase against that so that it stopped. I didn't sleep a wink. What was supposed to be a beautiful wedding night turned into a disaster.
The hotel's solution? A discount voucher for next time! What a solution! Our advice: don't go here on your wedding night! Book a hotel where a reception is open in the evening / night.
Unfortunately we cannot do it again.

Nice, nice, sleek, large rooms. Well had some problems with a wedding party right next door. Then we were lucky that our room was a bit further away, other people disturbed it, we heard.

Absolutely top hotel! We (couple, 30+) regularly stay in hotels and this time booked this room more as a place to stay overnight after a long day of wellness in the area there.

But rarely do you get that much for your money ( 73 including all taxes for a standard room including breakfast, offer)

+ The rooms are very clean and everything is like new.
+ Clearly thought about the design. Nice floor covering with wood pattern in the hallway and the like. Someone has clearly been passionate about this.
+ Excellent breakfast quality.
+ Despite the location of the hotel on an N road, the inside of the rooms inside is really whisper quiet. This while there is said to be a wedding in progress in the main building.
+ The beds, the plumbing, the furniture: Everything is of such high quality that you would give the hotel five stars rather than the current four.

Toilet not lockable. No problem for us personally, but we can imagine that many people find it difficult to see, hear or smell that the roommate is busy with "the big message", even if it concerns their own partner.
-Two small defects in the room, a shower door that just did not close completely and a loose "shampoo-board" in the shower. This passed on at the reception.
-Restaurant breakfast in separate building. So when it rains, just put on a coat and / or umbrella, we don't find it a big problem, but can of course be experienced as disturbing by some.

All in all a great hotel that we can recommend to anyone. You almost feel guilty if you tap such a low amount at the reception. We will definitely come back here!

You only need to tinker with the WiFi range.
The breakfast is delicious and the freshly ground bean coffee is a great start to a new day.

Certainly not recommended. If you reserve a superior suite there is a small chance that you will get the beautiful space indicated on the photos. However, there is a very good chance that you will get a small, poorly designed room where the bath is not even suitable for two people.

All in all they are bad practices

The hotel is clean, in a good location, the room (comfort suite / cheapest option) is well and functionally furnished with a comfortable seating and a really good bed. Sound insulation is good and there is "climate control". The staff is genuinely friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was complete and looked tasty. Unfortunately I didn't have time to enjoy it. The lady who worked there spontaneously offered to make a sandwich. Just very nice and that makes an impression. The sauna is not large, but good. Next time I will book a massage. Great place to rest after a day of work.

It is a simple but neat hotel. Remember that the door to the toilet is also the door to the shower . The beds are good. Oh yes, the reception is closed in the evening after 10 pm, so you have to enter with your room key. So there is no one left in the hotel except the guests. If you don't like that idea, don't do it.

Very nice hotel although personal preference i didn't like the room with no real seperation to the toilet apart from the glass wall apart from the friendly staff nice beds clean rooms.
