Wonderful staff, beautiful hotel. Valet is $22 per day, so be aware. Most rooms have deep soaking tubs which were wonderful, they even brought a refrigerator to our room. Great experience would recommend
Went to Hotel Dupont for the Cirque de Holidaze show with Family. This is located in Wilmington Delaware. It was pouring rain and when we got there the Valet was only taking overnight guests to park. Disappointing as the family got soaked having to walk from parking garage in a down pour. The show was amazing. It started in time and had a lot of good acts.
This hotel is outstanding in design and I would definitely recommend visiting at least once to take in it's grandeur!
Had a wonderful experience here. It is old world opulence for reasonable prices.
lousy hotel - lousy human beings. DO NOT stay here. Let's hope the management end up in the streets.
World class hotel in the middle of downtown Wilmington. The decor is from an era of grandeur that cannot be replicated. The staff is also fantastic.
our stay was perfect! the room is spacious and spotless. The service welcoming and thorough. Special shout out to Dorata and Gilles from Bordeaux!
Beautiful.. staff was excellent, we didn't want to go
The rooms were spectacular. The service was amazing. The green room and Grill were out of this world. Not much night life, but it's Delaware. What do you expect.
Great ambiance. Food was delicious. No complaints and no more expensive than going it in Philly.
Had brunch here. Free valet parking and excellent menu. Prices are a bit steep.
Amazing rooms . Staff was awesome .can't wait to come back
Beautiful place, people were nice, went to a wedding. We were somewhat disappointed with the food. It was bland and not as hot as it should have been
This hotel is a piece of art and definitely looks more like a heritage palace than a modern hotel. Everything in this hotel is world class from parking valet till the room. Staff is really courteous, polished and ready to go above and beyond their job description. Short of one star from 5 is because I didn't like the service for breakfast. The server was rude/not interested, had to wait long for her before I was offered water and then had to ask for coffee/juice even though it was part of the meal I had purchased, no follow-ups what so ever. Rest, enjoyed my stay and wish I had more time to explore full hotel rather then what I was able to cover.
The food was good, the wine was very good, the service was arrogant and rude.
Attended a wedding in the Gold Ballroom and stayed the night. Everything was amazing. The devore and food was top notch. Would definately go again if I could afford it
Had brunch in the Green Room with my girlfriend and her family. I had never been there before, but I definitely want to go back. All the food was amazing, and the appetizers and desserts were buffet style. Fantastic experience and wait staff. Would totally go again.
Hotel was very beautiful, food was amazing, and the staff was very nice.
One of the best hotel in this city. I had great experience at Hotel Du Pont. Their employees were done amazing job. Great service. Interior was superb. Comfortable rooms. A lot of facilities. Definitely deserve 5 stars.
Will never stay here, unless they get a new manager
Beautiful hotel with all the amenities one would expect of such luxury accommodations within this price range. The rooms are spacious and elegant which suits the overall experience after stepping through the front doors.
The management and ownership are sadly not up to the same elegant standard conveyed by such an experience however. It is for that reason alone which Hotel du Pont has duly earned so many reviews to their deplorable management.
Great valet service and all of staff, spacious rooms, clean facilities. It was a very enjoyable stay and would recommend to others
Dinner at the green room was absolutely delicious. My wife and I enjoy this venue soooo much.
Superb location and wonerful view from the rooms. I spent 4-5 days here with my friends and we received excellent customer service at a very reasonable price. the main thing which i liked the most is its interior decoration which mesmerized my eyes. Definitely will visit again.
My first choice when staying in downtown Wilmington. Large well appointed rooms. Secure property with pleasant staff. Walking distance from the office, many restaurants, and the Brandywine creek walking path. The Green Room restaurant in the hotel is perfect after a long day.
Beautiful ambiance, the staff friendly and the food was great. Definitely would go back.
The venue was very beautiful and clean. The good provided was normal for a wick breakfast. I went to grab something else later but the food portion to cost ratio was a bit high. Other than that, not bad.
Loved our stay at the Hotel du Pont. It was a great experience from the moment we checked in to the moment we left. The lobby is absolutely beautiful, and our room was spacious, well-appointed, and very comfortable.
The front desk staff is very helpful and responsive.
Terrible hotel. Wouldn't let homeless people stay there. Besides that, they are rude, and inconsiderate people with terrible staff. Never stay here.
Amazing historic hotel of the highest quality. However, remember it's Wilmington DE.
Was there to see the Delaware Teen Idol, the employees were so helpful, they served snacks to the kids, treated them like young adults...
The style was not my favorite but the stay was comfortable and the staff was friendly. Gym is really well done, cafe on the first floor is great as well. Bed and pillows were great too.
Lovely comfortable clean historical and so much attention to detail. Very fresh scented.
Took a interview candidate to breakfast at The Green Room at the Hotel DuPont. The staff are so polite and accommodating, and the food is delicious.
Out of fairness to the hotel here's five stars. Although I can appreciate how the gentleman was trying to give the homeless a Christmas treat I think there were better ways to do it. For the safety, comfort and expectations of the hotel guests I can't disagree with how the hotel handled the situation in principal. Like many of the other reviewers giving one star reviews I have not stayed here myself, but I'm chiming in as the owner of a small hotel myself.
A grand old lady of a hotel with comfortable beds and great accessibility. Beautiful event space. Five star service. We will be back.
This is a very nice hotel, I go there often for the shows and the food/drinks are good as well. It has a great ambiance.
Hotel Dupont was very friendly and accommodating. Staff was professional. Took they job seriously. The building is beautiful. The ballroom is very grand and the food was prepared well and was hot. The rooms were amazing. Very good value. Wilmington is not that far from the tri county area and the Dupont is definitely worth the trip.
Fantastic historical hotel, but don't expect fast service from the valet.
The ball room here is spectacular. We enjoyed our stay too. a gem in Delaware!
Disgusting business practices. This is the antithesis of customer service and an abhorrent show of humanity. You murdered your chance here, just like your namesake John murdered Schultz. House of death.
It's a very classy place. I was the guest of a wedding here and it definitely impresses.
We had check in scheduled for 3pm. They were an hour behind because they had a wedding and Valentine's day was the previous day. But for the wait they gave us some water and free breakfast. The water was ehh I mean its water so whatever but the free breakfast is great and happily appreciated. Other than that the rooms are nice and spacious and the tonic bar and grille across the street has amazing food. Short menu but sometimes that's better in my opinion.
I attended a wedding in their ballroom and was blown away by room and food. Definitely one of the best weddings I've ever attended. I hope to experience the hotel itself at some point.
What a wonderful gem, in the heart of the city! Great location, amazing rooms, soft beds and spectacular architecture. The Green Room is ornate, the lobby bar is mod, and the lobby is wonderful.
Lavish historic classic hotel , 3 restaurants in this hotel and Park Ave decor ( Park Ave NYC)
*The* place to stay in Wilmington. Elegant and attentive service.
Nice lounge. Rooms decent. Centrally located. Check in staff was a little rude
Great it was nice to see what the old green room look like now called Le Cavaler
Went to the Playhouse and saw a great show called Beautiful Carol King. It was all about her life as a song writer and singer. Loved it.
Excellent meeting location
The macaroons are great
Great escape for us. Classy but not overpriced. Clean
Very elegant, historical, of course missing the modern facilities that most hotels in the region have but you feel like you are back in time when you are in here.
overpriced and low quality, this is definitely a bad value, its probably 3x a night more than many top end hotels in Wilmington or even Philadelphia. I know my luxury hotels as someone whose been to many, the rooms are not impressive, much of the staff seemed indifferent and /or rude to my simple requests, and the hotel itself didn't have the sort of top shelf quality id expect. I can say the Hotel DuPont was a definite disappointment.
Very nice hotel and a seamless check-in. Great place to stay with alot of amenities
Historical from top to bottom , physical building. Awesome staff. And the Green Room is a great in house restaraunt.
Classic and luxurious hotel. Little practice for day to day.
Very nice place and the staff will go out there way to satisfy your needs. The food is also outstanding!
Had dinner at The Green Room during City Restaurant Week. Food was excellent, the kitchen did a very nice job. The Executive Chef stopped by our table on two occasions to check in and chat. We were a large group but we were accommodated quite nicely. The only issue we had was a few mix ups regarding our drinks and the wine pairings for each course.
Beautiful interiors, wonderful service. Came for a brunch and was not disappointed.
This hotel canceled reservations for a homeless family that was paid for by a generous DE man who wanted to give them a night out of the cold! Check it out for yourself to verify. What kind of hotel OWNER does that? PLEASE take your business somewhere else to show them how shameful their actions are. I am going to post the story on EVERY Wilmington DE site I can. I HOPE THIS PLACE GOES OUT OF BUSINESS! SHAME ON YOU!!!
Always great staying at the hotel. Took advantage of extremely low weekend rates.
Outstand first Delaware experience! Staff & amenities 5 plus! It is one of the best wedding venues I've ever attended. Looking forward to visiting again!
Very plush luxurious accommodations. Near local restaurants and bars. Excellent check-in and check-out and valet service.
I wasn t satisfied with the service, when I got there there was nobody to the front, it took me 15 minutes before someone came I have to call the front desk phone for someone to come. When I out ready to checked out there was nobody again she came from the street after a while acting like she didn t care, talking on her cellphone. She was rude, she didn t even take times to talk to us for her to go back to her phone call.
