Two of my kids have attended Shining Stars Academy and they ve loved it! One of the biggest reasons is because they love Miss Sam so much. As a parent, I love her well rounded curriculum and opportunities to serve the community. She s always very helpful and prompt at responding to questions or concerns.
We have loved Shining Stars Academy! My daughter is excited to go to school each time and she is very happy and energetic when I pick her up. I love that she is learning science as well as reading, etc. She is retaining the letter sounds she is learning. Miss Sam cares about her students!
Miss Sam has TONS of experience with small children, and is even teaching 3 and 4 year olds to read! It's no wonder people absolutely love her classes and programs.

Miss Sam is a wonderful preschool teacher. My child had some school anxieties and she patiently and lovingly worked with him so that he would be comfortable in the classroom. During the COVID19 pandemic she posted daily videos for the children to watch and would conduct class online. My child loved it! She is a great teacher who sincerely loves the kids she teaches.
Miss Sam is a preschool genius! Our daughter has learned so much and is growing socially as well as academically. The classes are well structured and fun. There are lots of fun programs to accompany the curriculum and several field trips/outings that the kids look forward to throughout the year. We also appreciate that there are a few different options (3, 4, or 5 days a week, morning afternoon, etc.) We love Shining Stars!

She is really patient and kind. She also offers multiple opportunities every year to give back to the community.

We absolutely adore Shining Stars! We just finished our first year there with our daughter and my son who is now old enough to attend will be starting in the fall. We can t say enough good things about the wonderful staff and curriculum that is truly tailored to each individual student. Miss Sam takes the time to help each student progress through all of the skills like reading and math and makes it fun at the same time. I have loved seeing my daughter s progress! We are so grateful and impressed with how much time she took to continue to teach her classes through quarantine this year and even had one on one teaching sessions weekly that my daughter looked forward to. I don t know how she did it all! She is extremely organized and has created an amazing school for young kids to learn and excel. I highly recommend this preschool!
You can tell Miss Sam has been doing this for years, and knows exactly how to connect to the children and help them learn in the way that is best for them. There's a reason they've won the KSL A-List awards several years in a row, they're the best of the best. Programs thoroughly prepare students for kindergarten, including coverage of STEAM subjects and teaching them to read!
We love Miss Sam and think she is the best! She is organized, energetic, loves the kids and teaches them like they are her own. She is great at communicating and goes out her way to make preschool fun and spends 1:1 time teaching them at their level.
I was looking for a place to send my preschooler and had heard about Shining Stars from friends in various social groups, so I gave it a try. So glad I did! My child not only enjoyed going to school each day and I felt good about sending him, because Miss Sam genuinely cares for each child in her classes. I have major respect for teachers and what they do for our children, but I have never seen a teacher who is so completely invested in her students--making sure as she teaches she reminds each individual student how she appreciates them and how awesome they are. My child entered her class timid and ended the school year we'll educated, with new friends, and with heightened confidence. I couldn't have asked for a better teacher or overall preschool setup. Moss Sam is loving (while respecting student-teacher boundaries), a fantastic educator, and a wonderful person who puts her ALL into the creative ways she teaches and fosters a welcoming environment for all her students. She goes above and beyond, even in unpredictable situations like school having to shut down in-person class due to covid-19, spending her personal time to give her students the best experience possible, even holding an adorable graduation ceremony for each of her classes (socially distant, outdoors, with masks). This is not one of those "preschools" that's really just a daycare. I was amazed how much my child grew educationally, as well as socially in the safe environment of Shining Stars Academy! Thank you to Miss Sam, her great assistants, and Shining Stars Academy preschool as a whole for making my youngest child's preschool experience the best possible!!
Ms. Sam is the absolute best! Throughout the school year she showed how much she obviously loves her job and her students! Then COVID hit and she went above and beyond to make sure her students still had classes via video chat and their weekly activities and school work were put together to do at home. I wouldn t send my child anywhere else!
We were desperately looking for a good school to enroll our 3 year old into. She was getting super energetic and crazy at home and it was time for her to exercise her mind!! We couldn't be happier with our decision to enroll her at Shining Stars Academy. Miss Sam is probably an angel! Miss Paradise is fantastic! Our little girl loves her days that she attends school and talks about it nonstop when she comes home. We know she is in a safe, comforting, environment that allows her to grow and learn. We would highly recommend anyone enroll their little ones here with Miss Sam.
This is such a wonderful school! My 4 year old has learned so much from Miss Sam. She is such a wonderful teacher. She has so much patience and makes every child feel so loved. During quarantine earlier this past spring she did such an amazing job transitioning into distance learning. We loved watching her videos and lessons. She did a great job connecting with her students and my son can't wait to come back in the fall.

Absolutely obsessed with Shining Stars. Teachers and facility is amazing. My son loves to go to school because of the teachers abs the curriculum. He is learning so much while having FUN! He is even following rules better at home I can t say enough about how wonderful it is! 100000 stars for this preschool!
Ms. Sam makes all her students feel extra special. Drop off and pick up are easy. My child loves going there and even came out beginning to read!

Shining Stars is the best preschool! I toured a lot of preschools for my son. The instant I met Miss Sam, I thought she was a perfect preschool teacher. She goes above and beyond for not only the kids, but also their parents. She has such a fun way of teaching and I get told constantly "that's not how Miss Sam does it". Shining Stars is run by a wonderful human being, Miss Sam. She cares so much about each kid, their emotional, social, and academic experience. My son is a bit shy, and she knows how to communicate on his level and engage him beautifully. I know that my kiddo is in good hands and learning a bunch when I drop him off for preschool.
Miss Sam is truly the best! Not only does she have such an incredible way of teaching the kids and making a special bond with them but she is so aware of each kids personality and how to make them feel special. My daughter is very strong willed but also hates missing out on any little thing and Miss Sam is always contacting and making sure she is included in some way if she s missed class or a field trip. You can tell she truly loves teaching and makes a connection and I believe that s why she is so successful! I m only sad we didn t do both years of preschool with her!
Update: My second child enrolled at Shining Stars is also doing extremely well learning letters and socializing with others their age. I whole heartedly recommend for preschool!
My oldest child just completed two years at Shining Stars and my second child will start this Fall. I've loved the play- and activity- focused learning that really helped my oldest get a good grasp of letters and begin reading. Miss Sam has been wonderful and has a true love of all the students. I've been super impressed at how well she works with a wide range of ability and personalities in the kids. Definitely recommend with two thumbs up.
We loved Shining Stars Academy! My son had so much fun with all the variety every day and he learned so much! When everything closed up with the Coronavirus, Miss Sam was amazing! She put so much effort into putting together packets for us and making videos for the kids and video calls. I m sure she spent so much more time and effort to keep things running as smoothly as possible! I can t say enough about how much work and love she has put in these last few months. We can t wait for school to start next year!
This place is the best preschool in the state! Mrs Sam is attentive, gets to know each child individually, and is truly skilled and endlessly patient. I have had the opportunity of volunteering several times in the class and am always impressed with her creativity, organization, and love for the kids.
My oldest attended Shining Stars 7 years ago before they relocated to their location now and my youngest just completed her 3rd year before kindergarten. She is reading and ready to take on the world!
I think the biggest thing I can say is that this school truly has an incredible curriculum that balances art, hands-on science experiments, field trips, music, reading, and life skills. It's really such a great place where both of my kids have had such incredible memories.

Being in Miss Sam s class helped him come out of his shell and he s now much more social and independent. Her curriculum and activities are unique and keep the kids engaged and excited to learn. I can t say enough nice things about this school and the teachers (Miss. Sam). My child has blossomed. He LOVES going to class and the education has really changed his speech and behavior at home. He sings song, knows his ABC s and is a better listener. Love love love this school. Sending my next child here

When they had to close due to the pandemic, the teachers went above and beyond to make sure the kids had packets to work on, and they continued to have classes online. I m so glad that I ve found this preschool, and I appreciate all that they have done for my daughter.
