It's awesome place and historical hotel. Actually I like that place but there is one problem DO NOT ALLOW PEOPLE TO SMOKE INSIDE.

This central Kigali hotel offers rooms with stunning city views, a fabulous international breakfast and friendly, professional staff.

Friendly staff, beautiful setting and wonderful food and drink. Service could be faster at the bar but it's OK for Kigali. The pool and Sunday brunch is a great treat.

But pricey but on Sundays, this hotel has the best buffet I have seen in Rwanda

Evening of Mille Collines, near the pool area, is always pleasant. This is still one of favorite place to visit for a cup of Cappuccino. Food is good. Buffet I had here was value for money, don't know if they still serve.

A beautiful and historical hotel. Excellent service and friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful food from the restaurant and the buffet breakfast was also excellent. Highly recommend visiting.

Ex SABENA hotel. Today this hotel is becoming obsolete in view of the proliferation of luxury hotels in Kigali. Located near the city center.

Its a beautiful place with very polite and friendly staffs.

I probably would rate this hotel 4 stars if I was the type to stay in my room. The room is very clean and the housekeeping staff are wonderful but the rooms are dated and could use additional electrical outlets. However, I m rating it 5 Stars for the service and outdoor areas. Breakfast is served buffet style with outdoor seating and there s the the very large outdoor bar. They handle groups gracefully and they are within walking distance of restaurants and the market.

All is well in this mythical hotel of Kigali: the reception, the atmosphere, the decoration, the swimming pool and the bar, the traditional music of Friday night. Inescapable for me.

Not as posh as Mariott or the kind but it it's old cheque remains attractive...

Located in Kigali downtown, it is easily accessible. It is one of the of the hotels built before the Genocide against the Tutsi which still holds up a better place in the hotel business in Rwanda.

Before visiting, watch the movie Hotel Rwanda, it will be much more interesting to visit after knowing what this hotel represents. A sad and at the same time motivating story.

It's really a beautiful setting, with beautiful plants and exquisite cuisine

Have only eaten here and used the pool area, but those options are great. The pool bar is the best place to get some office work done in Kigali! :-)

NIce place for the 'happy hour' session at the end of the day. Service is a little slow unfortunately. The Panorama restaurant at the top floor is a must at least once. Great views of the city.

An excellent service, the place brings a very serene atmosphere, the homemade cocktails are very good and cooked to order with fresh fruit. The reception is done in a professional way while ensuring the safety of the customers. The swimming pool is open to guests not staying at the hotel for 7000FRW. The menu seems very appetizing. Hammocks, massage room, music band on Sunday, perfect for relaxing.

I stayed in the hotel in June 2015 and the service was very good, I used it as a base station in Rwanda and it was a perfect stay.

Delicious dinner accompanied by a wonderful Syrrah recommended by the Sommelier. Discreet but highly attentive staff! And to top it all, what an am amazing view!!

Despite being one of the oldest hotels in Kigali, HMC remains an ideal place for those who like outing and relaxation

A good place where you can go and find yourself as if you are at your home.
The customer care is really good just because this hotel has working in Rwanda since longtime ago and they aware of what means when it comes to hospitality coz they always strive to make it a remarkable one. Food is and if you need any drink you get it easily.

The popular Hotel Rwanda, I was excited visiting. I love how functional the place is, catering to guests as usual. Lovely ambiance and highly secured

It was a thrill to have stayed in the hotel where the film "Hotel Rwanda" was centred on. Security is good. A good place for seminars. The historic swimming pool remains a good center of attraction in the hotel.

It is famous for being the background of hotel Rwanda. It was a meaningful visit, and the hotel is pretty good.

The lobby, bar and restaurant is good ,the breakfast on the 4th floor have good view and food is good, too, the room really outdated need to catch up
