Hotel Convención de Madrid Review

Wonderful, big and beautiful. Good location and good service.

My friend and I stayed here at the end of Aug 2018 and it was absolutely perfect.

When you first enter the hotel:
You walk into reception and it smells divine, some sort of lovely essential oil fragrance. Staff are very pleasant and professional.

Our Room:
Spacious and a simple but stylish interior design. I felt so comfortable with the colours and furnishings, I really felt at home. The queen size bed and duvet was sooo comfortable, I slept so well each night.
If you re missing anything, you can ask reception for it eg. razor, slippers.
Each room has an Android Smartphone which lets you use mobile internet and free calls in country and abroad for FREE! You can even take out out with you. This was a great touch.

Rooftop:
There s a small pool surrounded by sun beds and a separate bar/lounge area with lots of seating, sun beds and bean bags. The bar staff were all really friendly. The only downside is I wish there was a space on the rooftop where we could take out own drinks as the bar wasn t cheap ( 4 beer, 8-10 cocktail). However, there is some seating out front of the hotel where you can do this.

I love Madrid and usually come here once a year and will definitely be booking Novotel again.

Nice hotel with nice rooms, comfortable beds and a small pool and roof terrace. On the downside the breakfast venue is a bit to small for such a big hotel which means that you often have to wait for a table. Nice and quite location which is not that central but a few hundred meters off the Retiro park.

It's a Novotel! Great. Normal rooms and generous and varied coffee. Great choice of gluten free products.

This hotel is a luxury. Large, quiet and clean rooms. The service is always excellent. If there is no hurry, the bar / restaurant is very good.

I stayed at this hotel in March 2013. It was the second time, since I had also been in 2001, but this time as a family. Hotel located in O'DONELL very close to the center of Madrid. Well connected to the M 30 and the M 40. Formerly the famous Hotel convention and currently Novotel very comfortable, modern and clean rooms. The worst thing about the area is that it is a payment area although you can leave the vehicle inside the Hotel. The access to the parking is very complicated since it is spiral and you have to literally climb the sides to access. The breakfast and dining service is varied and of great quality. Good kitchen Worst if no doubt the treatment of the "janitors" that are on the outside that if you go with a normal vehicle you get almost immediately, While if you go with a high-end vehicle they do not say anything at all. For work reasons I have been there a week and a half, having to access in a couple of moments with a van, and these characters forced me to take the vehicle out of there to load a photocopier having to take it to the side street. Very class and rude. Obviously I will not repeat on pleasure trips.

Very nice and Modern Hotel, very well situated in the heart of Madrid. Many restaurants, groceries, icecream place and boutiques and mall near by. Big spacious lounge, Roof top Pool. Definitely recommend this hotel. This was my first time in Madrid and this Hotel definitely made my time memorable.

Great Hotel with nice rooms. Breakfast is good but not great. It's not far from the local park, so if you like to run/walk, it's a good location.

Very nice lodging located to the East of the main tourist areas. Metro stop Goya is within fair walking distance so that the Red Line takes you quickly to hot spots such as Palacio Real, and Calls Mayor. Even more convenient is the walk from the hotel to enjoy a stroll through the beatiful Parque Retiro. Hotel staff is quite friendly and the site offers a large breakfast selection starting at 6:30 each day. There is also a nice bar and restaurant for your eating pleasure. Room numbers are color coded for easy locating. Remember your color and you know immediately where to go for a comfortable rest.

Modern hotel with rooms not too spacious, but it is the most affordable in the area by far. The access is very good and is very well located. The staff is very attentive. Some chaos at breakfast time, as there are 790 rooms.

My room was an interior room, but that was not the worst room. The bathroom was very spacious with a very comfortable shower. They put a small extra bed and a crib. The whole team, even the bellboys that helped us with the crib, had an impeccable behavior at all times.

Very good place, excellent location, great breakfast, kid for the station of extracts the only thing I recommend to review are the elevators, they are very slow and obsolete

The hotel is very comfortable, with modern facilities and very well located, close to metro and bus stations and shopping centers (shops, pharmacies, snack bars and restaurants). The breakfast is excellent! It offers a wide variety of foods (breads, sweets, hot and cold dishes, juices and coffees) with excellent quality. The hotel also offers a great wifi network with free access. The staff are very kind and friendly. I will definitely stay at the Novo Hotel again when I return to Madrid.

Attended this as part of mid sized conference. The hotel is built efficiently to handle conferences with good connectivity across event areas, rooms and restaurants. The suite was spacious, well kept and fresh. Good connectivity to the airport and other areas. Would have been tempted to rate at 5 star but for below. The gym was tiny for the few 100 rooms, and with 3 people it was full. No security chain, lens on door. Poor shower pressure and a 1/3 rd shower cabin where water flows out easily :) maybe that's why the pressure was kept low. If you look beyond these minor irritants that could have been just my room, it is a good place in the city for conferences.

Upon arrival, I was informed that I could not unload my bags for registration at the curb, but instead was directed to the parking area. The parking area entry is a very tight spiral unsuited for the vehicle I was driving (an Audi Q3). I was forced to go forward and then backward many times in order to get down the ramp; in the end I scraped the side of the vehicle on the metal tubes that surround the center core. Very costly repairs to the vehicle resulted.

You can see that it has just been reformed: spacious and fluid hall, agile in the management of reception, rooms with high standard of quality ... and a spectacular breakfast buffet.
