The staff is very attentive, very polite and enhances the overall experience.

Grand Hotel Continental is a 5-star hotel in Bucharest, built on the grounds of the former Grand Hotel Broft [1].

The hotel has 53 rooms overlooking Calea Victoriei, 6 suites (furnished and decorated in different styles - renascentist, baroque, impero, Ludovic XV), a spa with jacuzzi, massage parlors and saunas, beauty and care treatments, fitness and aerobics, as well as six meeting rooms [1]. It was officially reopened on January 27, 2010, after two years of modernization, following an investment of about 8.5 million [1].

Grand Hotel Continental is part of the Continental Hotels chain, owned by businessman Radu Enache [1].

Definitive 5* star hotel
We've stay in this hotel for 3 nights during May 2013 and indeed is a 5* star hotel. It's a perfect classic hotel situated in the center of Bucharest. It has a huge history behind and you can only find it if you will stay for a couple of nights. It's near to the city old-town and other main Bucharest attractions. The breakfast it has a great variety and is impossible to not found what do you like to eat early in the morning. The staff is friendly and they are looking to help you everytime you need.

Definitely I recommend this hotel to anyone, young & old couples, families with or without kids. The rooms are very clean and have all the things that you are need in a 5* hotel.

The hotel is excellent for its location, the decor and the service but the air conditioning was a bit spicy

It's really beautiful hotel with spa, bar and dining. The dining is very expensive and fancy. If that's not you, walk to the old town 3 minute walk away.

Hats off in Bucharest, who likes it oldschool and playful is right here. Everything at the highest level, also the barista was my friend.

Breakfast is good but the basement is a little claustrophobic

Only the location is 5 *, other facilities can not receive more than 4 *. The difference lies in details, of course. Small baths and no bidet, vanity kit does not exist, no helmet, no corkscrew, nothing to clean the shoe, if you got a button, you go buy yarn and needle and so the restaurant opens only in the evening. Very poor for 5 *.

This beautifully elegant and luxurious hotel in the middle of old town, This hotel looks like a palace....walking distance to everything. The room was nice. Comfortable beds, free water, coffee and tea. Staff provided excellent service. . I was traveling alone. Spend few nights here. I visited Bran Castle, 25 kilometers (16 mi) southwest of Bra ov. It is a national monument and landmark in Romania. Leaving from North Railway Station (Gara de Nord) in Bucharest take the Bra ov train route. The journey takes around 3.5 hours. From there you only have to take a short bus or taxi transfer to Bran Castle.Loved my stay here. I feel like a princess in this hotel. You would feel like you are staying in a palace.

It is a 5 stars hotel and it deserves it. Friendly Staff, helpful and professional. Our room has a wonderful decoration, bathroom perfectly smells. Thank you to the lovely team Ilena, Mirella, Gabriel, Stefan and Julius.

Good old style hotel. High ceilings. You can open windows but extremely noicy if you face the main road. Good location and breakfast. Air conditioning. No ceiling fan. Clean. Large bathroom. Recommended

Nice hotel with small spa and massage (actual massage) saloon in the center of Bucharest. The restaurant is exquisite worthy of a 5* hotel. They also have a fitness center and small indoor pool.

Super staff! Super placement! Nice rooms - only think missing - was a view from the rooms. But will stay there again! So may be a 5 Star review next time if I spend the extra buck on a room higher up. ( its 3 floors and I stayed at 1st )

If you want elegance and style then I recommend Hotel Continental. Even if you drink a simple coffee, you can make it anywhere or you can make it in style at Continental, in a noble atmosphere with impeccable service. Although the hotel is in a central location but the reception staff is not courteous. The rooms are small. Not recommended. There are many hotels in the area are much more recommended ... There is no value for the expensive price you take

The grand hotel lives up to its name. Excellent service, concierge takes care of everything. Also bookings for guided tours in the Palace of the People possible. Breakfast is excellent, there was something for every taste. The rooms are neat and clean. Wi-Fi is extremely fast, reliable and free. Water in the room included. As a guest you have free entrance to the spa area. In sum: Everything was great! Clear recommendation !!
