I came here for a wedding reception last weekend. This hotel is very nice and elegent-looking. We had the cocktail hour in a smaller room, and reception in a larger room. The food they served for cocktail and dinner were pretty good, but my favorite was the dessert table! I will applaud them for starting the cocktail hour and reception on time. The pies and cupcakes were to die for! My first criticism was they didn't put out enough tables and chairs in the cocktail room for everyone. People had to sit or stand along the window and some people had to hold their food. My second criticism was the staff members took away the wooden carved names and thank-you cards from all the tables at the end of the reception, but clearly the bride and groom wanted all the guests to keep them and take them home! Nobody wanted to admit they took away the stuff. I had to confront several people before a staff member finally gave me and my husband the thank-you notes (but they still couldn't find the carved names).

Lived here for about a year. I love all of the front desk staff but Marvin is definitely the best! The hotel itself is rich with history and the Owl Bar and weekend events make it a lively place to life. It has its kinks being a historic building and we were living here the year that Covid hit which slowed things down a lot and made it feel like a ghost hotel. Overall it was a really cool experience and I will miss it.
