Hotel Bellwether Review

Great place to have a drink. Good selection of local beer and wine. Looks over the marina. Looking forward to trying g the food next visit.

The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and cozy and have all basic necessities included. It's great to be close to some amazing restaurants and it's a short Uber to downtown and breweries. I'd stay here again, no problem.

Bayfront room was surprisingly large. For a premium experience the price was reasonable.
This is a good weekend getaway hotel if you live in Seattle metro region.

Over priced and poor front desk. I called an hour after i checked out as I had forgot my phone charger. I had to call several times just to find out no charger was found. If they had gone to my room when I called the first time and pulled the charger out of the outlet like I asked there would be a 4 star rating. No, the lazy staff couldnt be bothered to do what I asked. Then didnt even call me back. I had to call back to see what happened. I paid $400 for this crappy experience. At those prices they can hire better efficient staff who actually care and want repeat business. I wont be back to this 3 dressed up as a 9!

Enjoyed the nice room. Watched the sunset over the bay from the attached balcony. Took advantage of the fact that the bathroom can open up to the room by watching TV from the tub. Would have liked a pool and continental breakfast.

Beautiful scenery, comfortable rooms. Hotel overlooks Bellingham Bay and the local marina with a nice view of the town's waterfront.

Very sweet and attentive staff, for our first date night it a loong time. First time there, we purchased the executive suit with the romance package, and we were not let down.

We will be back!

Hands down the best hotel I've ever been. We love staying the night even though we live in Bellingham! It's like seeing our town in a new light and the hotel is that nice! It's always clean, the tub is amazing and I love the local goodies you can purchase for use like, bath bombs, local booze and snacks. The views are stunning.

It was a lovely experience !,the location. Was, super, the staff was great and the meal was supverb.We will be back for,dinner again

Drinks were great. Whiskey crab soup was incredible. Burger was overcooked, but the fries, fish and chips, and salads were delicious.

Perfection of SERVICE and ELEGANCE here at the Bellwether. The Bartender, Servers and Hotel Staff lovingly take care of you while in their vicinity! Check out the front desk's new painting! It will whisk you away like the view from the jazz room!

The food was good but it was a little disorganized not a lot of variety

Held a party for ten at the restaurant, and it was a delight. Staff very accommodating for the birthday party. Service was excellent, and the food was very good. A nice view of the harbor, if you get there before the sun sets. (Happy hour in the bar is very nice.)

Live jazz in the bar. Fortunately, audible but not overbearing in the restaurant. (We like quiet so we can hear our friends.)

Place is great. Make sure you get the water view though! Worth its weight in gold. Next time we will try the lighthouse room!

We had a memorial service here, in the compass room. Staff was exceptional, food was top notch. I hear the rooms are wonderful too.

A very elegant hotel in a scenic location. Easy to find and easy to park. Room had all the necessities and a very comfortable bed. Restaurant inside was good. A short 20 min walk to the downtown core.

The staff was v. frriendly. The room was great.
I knocked the ratings down one star because of the chipino. While the flavor was excellent it should have been called seafood vegetable soup. I have never had this dish with a bed of aspperigas in it. Key lime pie ---Yum I will stay there again.

Beautiful location, great room, comfy bed and clean. This is a pet friendly hotel and signage state floor 3 is a pet free floor but there were dogs on our floor. Also only 1 elevator so be patient, you will have to wait.

Had lunch on the patio at the lighthouse bar & grill. Nice seating area, food was good, good service.

Beautiful hotels with beautiful views. Love that you can walk all along the marina and don t even need to leave the area of you didn t want to.

Staff is very friendly and attentive. The room was very clean and welcoming. Bed was a little stiff but supportive. Total experience was what I expected of such a nice hotel.

Classic, friendly, great location. Parking garage limited to 6 8 height. Restaurant was under construction while we were here. Rooms are not totally updated but overall it s a great experience.

Had a small issue with a smoke alarm the first morning there and was offered a different room and small discount. The front desk staff was very accommodating and helpful.

We were celebrating our 58th Anniversary and the staff at the Bellwether treated us royally. They upgraded our room from a Plaza view to a Waterfront view and left us the kindest note of celebration with a split of bubbly and a rose. Our room was lovely and the bed so comfy we checked out the mattress to see the brand (Bamboo!). We definitely would like to return and spend more time enjoying everything the Bellwether has to offer.

Lighthouse Cafe is great! Lots of seafood dishes on the menu.

Hotel Bellwether was a fantastic stay. The room was well appointed and the views of the ocean were fantastic.

The only real qualm I had was the shower, it was rather narrow, and the water pressure was lacking. It wasn t a deal breaker, but it was a bit of a headache trying to get shampoo out.

Overall would stay again.

We had a lovely lunch on the patio over looking the water. Good food a great service.

This establishment is very clean and well put together. Dinner was very well flavored. The service was okay, not that anybody was rude, just not as a tentative as I would expect from a restaurant of this caliber.

Very nice room with a beautiful waterfront view and a jetted tub! Price is reasonable as well for the location and quality of service.

Only had one drink but the atmosphere was fantastic, the drink was good. Noisyish crowd that evening but that's no fault of the bar/restaurants. Service was fantastic as well, everyone was very polite and the lady helping us checked on us plenty. Would highly recommend!

Our room, with a balcony facing the Marina, exceeded our expectations! The Hotel and Restaurant staff were amazing. We highly recommend both the Hotel Bellwether and the Lighthouse Bar and Grill!

We experienced a reservations mistake, due to making a change to our reservation over the phone, and wound up not having a room available for us at all. The hotel manager suggested that it was my mistake, which I disagree with. Unfortunately we can't know for sure, since no confirmation email was ever sent after the change. I'm sure it was an innocent mistake, but I'm also sure it was their mistake, one that could have been avoided with a confirmation email, phone call, text, etc.

Dog friendly and really nice for a visit to Bellingham

The grounds are beautiful with great views. The room was nice but I found the bathroom lacking a place to hang up towels. I found the restaurant trying a little to hard to be "gourmet", I ordered pulled pork from the lounge menu, it didn't come as described and was a bit tasteless, ordered Eggs Benedict which came on a crescent that just flatten out, couldn't hold up.

Excellent food, service, and ambiance. Prices are reasonable

Beautiful Northwest Washington hotel with attention to detail in retaining the Northwest flavor. Situated overlooking Bellingham Bay, the ambience and local vibe, make it a "must stay!"

Restaurant is very nice. Good location, food, and views.
