Great hotel! Awesome staff, very accommodating, bar & restaurant. Right in the water. Parking is a bit confusing but just ask for directions at the front desk if you aren't staying there. Great area to walk around and explore.

The hotel itself was perfect, very clean and friendly staff. We wouldn't recommend the restaurant as we had large groups (6-12) so meals took 60-90 minutes and were often cold.
My husband and I got married there and the staff were friendly and worked hard. The food was excellent for the wedding itself. They offered to store our wedding decor for us as we arrived 2 days before the actual wedding from Canada. They lost some of our belongings and it took 6 phone calls and 12 emails to get half of it back. Some of it was never recovered. There was never an apology or an offer to make things better.
We would not go back to the Bellwether and would not reccomend having your wedding there. There are lots of hidden costs. DO NOT LET THEM HOST YOUR OPEN BAR! Not worth the price tag :(

The comfortable bed and room was ok. Bathroom had a mold odor. They wouldn't accept any gift certificates for the holidays which is ridiculous and stay away from the fruit tray. For new years eve the fruit tray got me sick and I spent the evening yacking up the 200 dollar I just enjoyed. All in all I won't go back.

This is a great hotel. Rooms are large and comfy, the balconies and fire places in the room are really nice and of course a Jacuzzi in the room is a nice perk. Staff is really great and the restaurant is very nice, but spendy

Beautiful rooms. Friendly and accommodating staff. Love the waterfront view from the room. Walkable restaurants. Will definitely go again.

Update: be advised usage of any item on the honor bar in the room will be charged at excessive rates. No mention of this upon check-in or at the honor bar. Was charged after checkout and only found out what the extra charges were after calling hotel when checkout receipt did not match amount charged to credit card.

The hotel has a vintage feel, and is truly eccentric. I love the fact that it's right by the bay, and has all of the local conveniences of Bellingham. Downtown is nearby, and there are plenty of restaurants. I would highly suggest staying here - it's beautiful.

I went to the Hotel Bellwether for my company Christmas party. I was there early to help decorate and able to attend the restaurant for lunch. My meal was delicious. I had the whiskey crab soup along side the kale salad. Both items exceeded my expectations. The Christmas party was fun as well and all in all it was a great night

We haven't even left yet and I can tell you this place is amazing! From the manager, front office and room service staff this hotel is just what we needed for what's been going on. Very clean and well appointed rooms, entertainment outside our room, professional room service employees and very friendly and helpful staff. The view from our room (209) is the best. We are having a great time. This hotel is highly recommended. You won't be sorry. We will be back...no question!

We've stayed at the Bellwether intermittently since 2002. We were doing a pre-Covid getaway before the gates of Hades open up. The hotel was immaculate, as usual, and the day and night staff were very helpful. The view from the third floor was beautiful. You can't beat the Pacific NW on a clear crisp day. My ONLY gripe was no soda in the mini-bar. We are tea totalers and after a hard night hike snowshoeing to Artist Point... Come on! Give us a non-hootch option, heck, you are going to charge me $$ for it! Still beautiful. We will be back. We love the Chrysalis, but the train 50 feet from your room intermittently thru the night gets a bit old.
